Video was short and sweet, I needed to change the motor mount on my 2010 Mercury Milan and this video was real helpful. Thanks for sharing, new subscriber here👍 🇺🇸..
Cam you get to the middle idle pulley from the fender underneath without lifting the engine or removing the engine mount? How much did you lift the engine up?
That is how I did it. Tire and plastic shielding removed. Laid on the ground and could get to the idler with a 10 mm wrench to break it loose. Then took it out by hand. It’s very tight and could not get a 3/8 drive ratchet in their so 1/4 drive or wrench is only option.
If you need to just change the pulley. You can remove the lower plastic behind the tire. Then weld a 10mm socket to a wrench, its too tight to get a ratchet on
Thanks for the instructions on installing the serpentine belt! Big help!
Thank you. Your video saved me a bunch of heartache and money!
Thanks for sharing about engine mount

Nice video. I took the engine mount off just to make changing the belt out easier
You described the symptoms perfect. 💪🏽💯

Did you have to put that bearing behind the new idler pulley that came off the burnt out pulley?
I did it without removing the reservoir and the motor mount.. 10MM socket wrench and a I used a pry bar. Simple you made it seem so much harder 😂
Can you not take off the front tire and take off the idler from the bottom?
you can yes it's just a bit tighter.

@sethvandiver1324 great, I thought going under is better too.
Just really wish I could’ve saw you take those mount bolts off great video tho

How many miles was on that car?
probably 400000 km give or take
@@billgoatgarage Which is about 248,000 miles.
What wrench or socket you used to remove the drive belt pulley?
Jack up car remove tire and tire shroud boom done it twice thats the hard way
Yes that’s how I did it. Very close on the smooth idler pulley but 1/4 inch drive ratchet or wrench will get on it.
