Hi Andrew, Apart from my SS with the G25/G30 #7being iron being at around 88mph, I found just about exactly the same results as you. Very slightly more ball speed with the G30, slightly less spin, and 3-4 yards longer with the G30 over the G25. So I 100% agree with your findings, all due to the slightly stronger lofts. I went with the G30's but if I'd been thinking straight, I would have gone with the G25, but just had the lofts strengthened by 1 degree, and saved myself £100. Never mind. I'm a 4 handicap, so people shouldn't be embarrassed by the size of these irons for the low handicapper. Both the G25 and G30's are excellent Irons. And Ping Irons are so solid, and the fact they hold their value a little better than some other OEM's is just a bonus!
I have g20 irons, love them but I have always wanted to get them less chunky. I want to get the g25's to save some $$$ because I don't think the difference in 25 to 30 is big enough, so I am going for the g25's. Great video!
Unfortunately, the trend towards "powerbats" has continued into later-model Gs, with the G430 apparently jacked-up to the point of absurdity. I still prefer Pings, but the earlier models are more manageable in the midirons.

The Ping Eye 2 was the most popular iron in golf for an entire decade. Ten years! Now Ping brings out some new model every 10 minutes. It sure feels like they're they're more concerned with selling us some marginally different iron than actually helping our golf game
Ping are one of the better companies when it comes to product change. 18 months for a iron model is pretty good. Would defend Ping on your comments and say that they are not motivated by sales more by improving the model. Thanks for watching.

Basically the only iron that's loft that is strengthened is the 6 irons or 7 irons. the fitting clubs.
