My experience is if it's just a MagSafe case it's fine but once you attach anything magnetically then the pen doesn't always connect, I did a screen diagnostics with the pen on the screen and where the magnets are the pen doesn't write. I have a magnetic popsocket but if I want to take notes or use the pen I have to pop that off and then it works fine.
