Dude. . . . . . . You are the greatest Let's Player there is. Also thanks for giving me something to listen to while I grind offscreen for the Cockatrice Cap in Secret of Mana! It took until the last 10 minutes of the video for the thing to show up, and that's not counting an entire other hour I tried for it. Even after all that though, I can only imagine having a work ethic like yours. Keep doing what you're doing, man. It's a huge honor to sit beside you at panels, but even moreso just to be your friend. Love you, man. NCS
The sheer amount of work you put in to these videos is amazing and inspirational! Happy to be a part in any small way! Also, I see what you did with the music in this video....
I could write a book about the endless amount of respect I have for you, in more ways than one. You're a super upbeat and optimistic person. The only reason you do all this insane work is because you feel like you owe it to the games you like and to the fans. You have an endless amount of enthusiasm for all you do and seem like a legit great person and probably the most loyal friend anybody could wish for. Thanks, Chugga. Continue being you.
Fatguy703 We love you as well It Really shows how much he has impacted on your gameplay videos and the way you React Keep up the awesome work ALL HAIL CHUGGADADDY❤
THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is why Chuggaaconroy is such a great Letsplayer. So much heart and love is poured into his videos. He's doing what he loves as his job, and it's so much fun to see someone enjoy something so much while sharing his love with people. Thank you for being so passionate Chuggaa

I'm genuinely angry that you only have 1 million subs, you're literally the person who paved the way that current let's players walk upon. I really hope that in the future you get the credit you deserve & attract the viewers who have yet to find your content
I like how chuggaa keeps youtube classic. Nowadays, everything that makes a youtubers great is playing over-rated shooter's, dumb over enthusiasm and boring pranks that get people in trouble. Not chuggaa. He manages to make incredibly informative videos while (in my opinion) being a lot more fun watch than everyone else
I'm only like 1 and a half hours into this video, but dang, the effort you put into these videos to maintain a high quality has always been seriously impressive, and has also served as a great inspiration for some of my own UA-cam work as well. Keep it up, and here's to another fantastic 10 years!
Honestly Chuggaa is one of the best and definitely a legendary lets player. Yes, there are new LPers who do a good job but Chuggaa has been doing an amazing job for YEARS now! The amount of passion and work he puts into his vids are always evident and he always bounces back from no matter what (example: the Xenoblade hiatus) His content hasnt gotten cheap or lost that essence that made us love him from the start, but like a good wine, its gotten better over time.
Indeed. That loss of essence often comes from arrogance. That people think they can do no wrong and that those that don't appreciate it just have no taste. They stop improving and the stuck up attitude can drive people away. They also believe themselves infallible and stop trying to better themselves. Chuggaa does go out of his way to maintain his humility and to never stop trying to improve.
@@Sirkitty01 Thing is many people often ask why quality declines. The truth is it doesn't need a reason. To keep up quality takes active effort so things need a reason NOT to decline.
Having not a lot of friends growing up...you were always my best friend. I used to (and still) would play your LP’s during the day while doing random stuff to hear your voice and not feel so alone.
In the 'Improvements from Platinum' section, he says he hopes his lovely artist won't kill him for requesting Zorua, Zoroark and one more I can't remember.
and yet i never want to make any assumptions because, from personal experience, being paired with a good friend can be pretty annoying, especially with the huge nature of the interwebs
+Kekkle I agree, I just noticed that they have a lovely relationship, but I would not make any assumptions on whether they are more than friends or not. I have a friend with whom I'm really close (similar to how Chugga would call Masae "cute" or make innuendos with her), we're both adults and singles, majority of our friends are persuaded we're together, yet we're not. Sometimes, a beautiful friendship is just enough for both people =)
Chugga, I know you probably get comments like these all the time, but I figured it’s my turn to say it. You’ve always been there for me, whenever I needed a fun distraction, a pick-me-up after a long day, or any other reason. You’ve truly been a huge part of my childhood, and as I’m about to begin the next big chapter of my life, I feel that I wouldn’t be who I am today without you. I began watching your videos when I was around 9 years old, and you were playing Super Mario Sunshine. I remember becoming completely entranced by your videos, and anticipating your next video every time I finished an episode. That anticipation has continued throughout my life, and every time I come back to your videos, it feels like I’m returning to an old friend haha. I’ve never had the chance to meet you in person, but I feel like we’re really great friends, and I just hope that you continue to make these amazing videos. You have been, and always will be my favorite UA-camr. So thank you Chuggaaconroy. Sincerely, -your fan Jackson
It's amazing the amount of hard-work and love you pour into every video that you make. Watching you over these past 10 years and watching you grow into what you are now seems surreal that the time has passed this quickly. You've always strive to improve your videos in anyway possible and your work ethic is inspiring! Happy 10 years Chugga! It's been one fun ride that we don't want to stop from :) We all love you!
This is probably one of the most heartfelt looks into video production, which means so much more since it's coming out of you, probably UA-cam's best gaming content producer. Everything you've done has been so well put together and so well coordinated, and this video is a beautiful little slice of the world you create, I wish you only the best, it's been great to have been here watching this unfold since the end of your Mother 3 project. Your earliest videos inspired me and so many of my friends to give making videos a shot, and I've finally found my niche, my audience 8 years later, and watching this made me realize that even though I've strayed far from Nintendo LPs into more mature PC game reviews or builds, I wouldn't be here without your videos. Bless you, Emile, I truly mean it, you deserve every bit of success and joy that comes your way, and you're truly something special to so many people.
i know you probably get a lot of sappy messages, but when you released your new animal crossing lp, my father was in the late stages of cancer. when you released them, i could escape. and then you began to play my favorite pokemon game - and used my second-fave pokemon, zebstrika. (my favorite is snover - damnit, he's cute.) for a bit of time every few days, i could escape from watching myself lose him. even after he passed, i could have something - even if it's only something small - to focus on, away from the pain and the struggles. you even got me back to being able to focus on writing, which was amazing since i hadn't wanted to share my words for a long time, ever since the diagnosis. thank you for being here, and for continuing to play positively. for spreading just the joy of these games. may you continue to have good luck in gaming.
I'll be honest, I was in the exact same position as you regarding my mother. When the LP first got started, she was in the late stages of treatment, and afterwards, things were starting to look up. My world came crashing down in March 2016 when I found out the cancer came back. And on the day of the revisit, I honestly needed something to take me away from the raw emotions of that day, as after a good year and a half after the remergence, it ended her life. By then, she was already gone mentally. When that happened, I just wanted her pain to end as soon as possible. I didn't want her suffering anymore. The revisit helped a lot. I had to hang on for my father's sake, as he had to do a lot of the work, but thankfully my mother decided to have part of her estate pay for the funeral costs, so we didn't have to worry about finances at all. Every night, before I turned in, after yet another day of trying to make it to the day itself, I would put on the newest episode of Welcome Amiibo. Just hearing the intro made me feel a little better, and I would get psyched over the content, despite already knowing the info. It felt right, being able to geek out to some extent with someone else, and not have to focus on anything else. The revisit was winding down on the day of the funeral, and all I recall is many, many people talking, and just feeling drained, right up to when I clicked the video. Things are still a little strange, but things take time. The biggest priority is making it past the "Year of Firsts", right up to October. I do honestly owe chugga a whole lot. He's there to remind us that not everything is terrible.
Dude when you started talking about how you paced around your house and talked to yourself I had some serious Déjà vu, Your honesty in this video has only made me relate and like you even more, keep it chugga been loving you since your fire red lets play came out
I like how the background songs you used are from the games you've done an LP of in order, for instance, first you used an Earthbound song, then a Mother song, then a Paper Mario song, and so on. really nice touch! You only skipped or forgot a song from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Pokemon Emerald and Zelda Skyward Sword though.
Glad you noticed that detail! I wanted to have one song from every game, but it wound up being too long for the length of the video and a few had to be cut.
Honestly, I've only been watching you for a short time Emile, starting with some funny moments from the Platinum LP. Black and White is the first full LP of yours I've watched, I think you're a great Pokemon player who's influenced the way I play the game in a big way, and I can't wait for more. Seriously, If Black and White 2 is happening, then I seriously can't wait for it! Anyway, keep doing what you're doing and please don't ever change. Love your vids, Matty (This is my dad's account so.... yeah)
Dang it’s been 10 years!? Well I’m very happy for you Emile. You were the first UA-camr I ever watched and I would constantly be waiting for all of your videos every time. I came in around the time of Pikmin 2 and Luigi’s Mansion and you still manage to make me laugh all the time. I’m happy to be one of the many views that you have and I’m excited to see more content from you in the future.
I regret the 2-3 years (I think) that I stopped watching your videos. You’re honestly such an inspiration. That thing you said about hating your older videos is so true. I make remixes of songs from video games, and the oldest ones I did were from Mario Party 7. I hate them. They were the oldest songs I did and I _knew_ I had better/more recent ones, but I didn’t want to lead with them, for whatever reason. I’m even motivated to get back into my bigger passion, game design, which I put of because “I want to wait until I’m good enough”. I feel so motivated now to better not just my artistic stuff, but to better myself. TL;DR Thanks for the laughs, squid dances, entertainment, and thanks for being you.
Emile, you are and always will be THE Let's Player. THE UA-cam Gamer. The definition of quality control, enthusiasm, passion, and a class act. On behalf of all fans of gaming, content creators, fans, and kids who have been left out for being themselves, thank you. You've been an inspiration for more than you know. Congratulations on 10 successful years, and here's to 10 more. -Stone
Jesus, Emile, you do so much effing work. I've been subbed for a while now. I remember you replying to me a loooooooong time ago via youtube private messages and took the time to talk to me after I explained how much your videos meant to me. I'm so happy you're still going, because you and TRG are people I will always consider Let's Players. Not to talk down about other YT gamers, but you guys have always been what I think a real Let's Player should be. You give information that we might find interesting, you're passionate about the game, and you research the hell out of it. You're the reason I bought Okami, Rayman Legends and Origins. And you're the reason I found Earthbound. I didn't even know that game existed until I saw your LP of it years ago when you first started. Keep going, because your happiness is contagious. -Saria
*that moment when every song references his let's plays in order, then you realize that this video told us his redo of Earthbound a month or two in advance* ...Whoa.
A Person With a Name there have been two wars that we know about one between Kanto and Johto and possibly Sinnoh was involved and then the one in X and Y
Ya know, Chugga, I've been following you since I was in High School. Like, I've discussed your videos with friends and we even had bets and competitions on what you'd be doing next and whatnot. Heck, I won $5 once because I correctly guessed that you'd be doing pokemon Emerald! When I hit grade 12, my English teacher went around on the first day, trying to learn as much about her students as possible (one of the best teachers I've ever had) and one of her questions was "who inspires you?". Most of the other students answered with sports stars, but when I was asked that question, I responded with "Chuggaaconroy. He's a let's player on UA-cam. It's hard to explain why I like his videos so much, but they're one of the few things that beget such a friendly internet community, that I feel like there's a place where I can be myself." Honestly, I still feel that way. I've wanted to start let's plays, but the only thing that's held me back is that I can't even afford the most basic of equipment right now. I'll be lucky to have that much money by the end of the year, in all honesty. However, I'm taking this video to heart and when I do start it up, I want to do it with a certain one of my friends because he wants to too and I know that he and I can have much better commentary than either of us alone. Once either of us can afford the equipment, we'll start it up. We have so many ideas and both of us are really excited to want to do this. We don't even need the best equipment, but we at least need our first capture card and mic... I just have to get out of debt first... I'm getting there... If slowly...
"We have a very positive community here." - and that is my ABSOLUTE favourite thing about your channel, Emile. Your personality is so good and I believe that that comes through into the community as well and I don't ever think I've ever seen a community on UA-cam that is so lovely and so positive and I am SO SO SO happy to be a part of it!!! Congratulations on 10 years, Emile! And here's to the future :)
I'm not going to lie, I started this video yesterday and saw that it was two hours long and noped right out of it. I don't have a very large attention span for these kinds of videos, and sitting still just watching and listening to one video bores me pretty quickly. Today when I got home though I decided to play a game on my 3DS and listen to it in the background. I actually had to put down my 3DS because just listening to all the work you put into your videos wasn't enough. Holy flip Chuggaa! I didn't even really notice the time passing because of just how in awe I was at all you do. Before this video I thought you always deserved more subscribers and that you were one of the best let's players on youtube. After this video though I have to say you are THE best let's player on youtube. I have so much respect and admiration for all the hard work you put into making these videos for us, and I just don't know what else too say except wow.
Ok, I know that this video is 2 hours long, but try watching the whole thing. It's absolutely packed with thoughtful insight, helpful advise, and amusing stories. At no point in watching this did I feel my time was being wasted. Thanks for everything you do Emile. Your LP's have the informational value of a documentary, and the feeling of listening to a friend tell you about something they love for hours on end. Many of my favorite games came from watching you, and I've made friends through those games. Thank you.
Firelizard I absolutely agree. And this video was incredibly pleasant and inviting; I looked at the description and intended to just watch bits and pieces that suited my interests, and the next thing I knew, I watched the entire video.
Man I'm not going to lie, I nearly teared up several times while watching this. You're such a huge inspiration to smaller LPers, and constantly breaking the limit for quality in LPs. Keep on keeping on!
Your videos have been there to help me through tough times and make me like games more this entire decade and I hope to continue this for decades to come! Even if you stop lps at sometime in the distant future, I'll always remember the great times and literally look back at my favorite videos. Even after death, the chugga chugga choo choo train will always be going!
Mitchell Patterson Most of the people complaining about that probably weren't around when UA-cam had time limits. Seriously, go watch his Earthbound LP if you think his videos are "too short".
They were right. We don’t like you. We love you, man. For some of us your content is a great way to help us push through this mess of life. Your content is some of my favorite.
I have tears in my eyes I just watched the entire thing. Thank you for everything Emile! This 10 years have been amazing! In a nutshell I grew up watching your videos!
Chuggaa, without your videos, I'd probably wouldn't know much about Mario RPG, Earthbound, or even Wind Waker. My first let's play I've ever seen was Your LP on Pokemon Crystal (Which is the first Pokemon game I've ever played). Which was eight years ago. You gave me an added inspiration to to play more Pokemon games and replay Pokemon Crystal. My favorite moments had to been when you caught a Shiny Koffing (Which went boom by the name of Methane), faceplanting your way throughout Skyward Sword, Catching Groudon in a Nest Ball in Emerald (but you definitely lost man points though lol), and going through XD Gale of Darkness (ironically it was the first Pokemon game I ever beat). Chuggaa there was a point in my life where I didn't have fun playing video games, I've even though about quitting all together, you taught me to always have fun when playing video games even if they suck or are too difficult. Just like I mentioned earlier about if I never watched your channel, I wouldn't have never heard about Earthbound, watching you play Earthbound inspired me to play through it and, I enjoyed playing it, with the quipes, Giygas, and even the amount of fun throughout the game. Because of you, I've even started to watch LP's of ProtonJon, NCS, and MasaeAnela. Just to summerize, without your channel, I would have probably quit gaming all together years ago. Thank you Chuggaaconroy for 10 Years of Amazing Let's Plays, here's to another 10 years of great Let's Plays.
I hate that I’m just now finding your channel in July of this year (2023) never knew a channel like yours was even a thing. Watching you makes me wanna do let’s plays more. Found you in your Mario sunshine let’s play and your vid helped me play the game out for the first time. Look forward to your future Lets-plays!
Can I just say this that he is the most underrated and best youtuber on the globe ! I love every second of the videos I watch of him and he is the one who can light up the darkest of our days
Ten years and still my favorite dude on UA-cam. Here's to another, man. I'm looking forward to whatever you have in store. Side note: Emile needs to be paid more. Don't care how much he's getting now, he deserves more.
"Where did you buy that Squid Hat?" *sigh* It was a gift OH MY GOODNESS THAT END GOT ME SO HARD!!! THAT WAS HILARIOUS, RIGHT UP THERE WITH THE DELICIOUS INVISIBLE BURGER!!!
I know this comment is really late and it's entirely likely that it won't be seen but I just wanted to say thank you, Emile for being an amazing person that helped inspire me into making let's plays. Honestly, I'm glad that you, someone I look up to, made a video that helped me quell some doubts I had about things like if I was satisfied with what I'm making or if I was being half-hearted by not recording everyday. I know now that I'm not wrong to feel dissatisfied by what I'm able to do and that the frustration I accumulate is a valuable pool of motivation which I can use to brush aside any doubts and double down to work harder for something I love. It's strange, almost amusing, how I never really knew what I wanted to do with my life, yet I've found my passion in this small channel of mine. I don't know what the future has in store for me and I'm not confident enough that I'll ever become as popular or well known as you. That said, I won't ever stop. That was the decision I made after I lost a relative and had to take my first long hiatus. I'm not looking for pity and I'm not trying to get a shoutout or anything. This started as a thank you and I just felt so calm that everything else flowed. If you've read this, thank you for noticing someone as small as me. Thank you even more for giving me somewhere I can turn to if I'm plagued by self-doubt. Thank you for reminding me that what I'm doing is what I love and even if I do it badly, I can only get better if I keep it up.
Hi Chugga! This is the first time I've ever commented on your channel or on your other social media as I'm not very knowledgeable at games and afraid that I wouldn't be helping you as much as other people did,but here I am on this video! My first video I watched on your channel was Wind Waker but back then I don't understand English at all since I was too young and my native language was Thai.I was just try browsing youtube and found your channel by coincidence.I actually can't really remember clearly, but I watched that LP and dropped out cause I was bored. But later when I understand English a bit more,I found your channel again and watched your Okami LP and I was really enjoying it even though I might not understand what you talked about completely. You were the first person on youtube that I subscribe until this very day. Back then I was bullied a lot because I have asperger syndrome and I wasn't able to control myself very well, and ended up doing something that other kids and teacher found weird,so I didn't really have any friends who I can talked with.Your video was the only thing I look forward to every day I came home, and inspired me to have an interest in gaming, learning english, and even lore from games like Okami that has Japanese lore and such.Your energetic voice made me feel like you were with me,cheering me up and didn't made me feel lonely anymore.Your video games death and hearing you rage was pretty funny as well, but of course I can't forget the things that you love doing on all your LP: PUNS! Now I became interest and loves puns now so thanks for that too :) but getting back on topic, you were always made my day and motivate me to get better for myself.I read and understand english better because I listen to your LP,and get good grades on English up until I'm in university right now and I enjoy talking with english teacher or tourists.Your knowledge on games made me to be able to talked with someone about them and found someone who has the same interest as me.Basically, you shaped my life like you wouldn't believe:) I really loved seeing your process on how you make videos because you always make these LP with determination and love for those games. You really enjoy the game that you played and talked about them passionately, and that tells me the reason why i'm still subscribed to you until now.Thank you for all your hard work to make the LP good and enjoyable for everyone all this time. Also don't forget to rest when you sick or has to go to the hospital,I and your fans can wait for as long as you need to recover. We will always be cheering you on. Once again,Thank you for everything. Sincerely A simple girl whose life changed in a good way because of you Ps. I'm sorry if my grammar's not correct.
Oh wow! Didn't expect a Thai person watching Chuggaaconroy videos! (For the longest time I thought I was the only one haha) It's cool to see something like this help someone learning the English language, you know. PS. So far I only saw mis-space, a nitpick, I know. But that's how I usually am haha.
P.Scoop Same here! I've never seen Thai people other than me on this channel before.it's feels really great to see that I'm not the only Thai person who watched chugga's video.looks like I won't feel lonely now thanks! :) Ps.well at least my grammar is okay.don't really know what to do about mis-space though.^^"
I first found your channel through the Majora’s Mask let’s play. From there I found your Animal Crossing series, which remains my favourite of your let’s plays and inspired me to buy New Leaf, which is now one of my favourite video games. Thank you for making this video and sharing your creative process. When I was younger, I made gaming videos for a time, though now I’ve moved on to writing stories. Even though I don’t create let’s plays anymore, hearing everything that goes into your videos is so inspiring, and I’m amazed by how, in a way, what you do reminds me of how I write. When it comes down to it, seeing someone do what they love and put so much effort into their art form, feels inspiring regardless of the medium. And it’s so true that it doesn’t matter how you start. You’ll always look back on your first creations with a cringe, but they’re the platform you use to grow. Anyway, thank you again. You really make let’s playing into an art form.
Thank you for making this! As a beginner in the whole editing and Let's Play genera, its super useful to see such a detailed description of your process and its nice to see all the work and thought that goes into make your amazing LPs!
I first found this channel 7-9 years ago when I typed Mario into the youtube search bar and stumbled upon your sunshine LP. After watching this, I can appreciate all the effort you put into these videos and I thank you for getting me into the Xenoblade franchise.
Y'know I honestly wouldn't be the person I am nowadays without chugga. When I was 8 years old I got my red Wii with New super Mario bros wii and fell completely in love with Mario. Then at some point I found youtube and chugga's Super Paper Mario lp and other Mario lps and I loved them all but eventually I had already watched all of his Mario lps and I didn't know what to watch anymore so I started watching his lps of other series like Zelda and Kid Icarus and kinda started to realize that there are other good and interesting games than just Mario and started watching almost every lp he made. Of course I still didn't buy any of those games since I couldn't because I didn't have the consoles for them and even still I was afraid of trying new things, but I had become a huge chugga fan at that point and thought that I should watch his very first lp: EarthBound. I had heard a lot of good things about it from time to time so I was interested in what it really was and so after enduring the cringe I watched the lp and fell in love with EarthBound, after that I watched his Mother 3 lp and loved it just as much and then some time later I also watched his Mother 1 lp. At that point I feel like I changed as a person. And I wasn't scared of trying new things anymore I bought Earthbound and Mother 1 from the Wii U E-shop and emulated Mother 3 on my phone and finished all of them. I started really doing art too all thanks to just wanting to express my love for the Mother series. And allthough for a long while it was pretty much all I talked about at the same time I was trying to get into new things. I bough new games from series that I had never played like Majora's mask 3d, Splatoon 1, Pokemon W2, Kirby PR, Undertale and even OneShot an obscure game from the depths of steam that is honestly so good and emotional. And ever since the Switch came out I've tried even more new games than ever before. And all thanks to Chugga one of those new games is Xenoblade Chronicles 2 which I absolutely love (allthough I haven't played it in a while because I forgot to save and lost like an hour of progress...) and another game series I played and absolutely loved thanks to Chugga (and his fans) is Danganronpa. Honestly they are such good games.... Anyway this is probably like really badly written and way too long and probably doesn't even have a clear point but well here is my story but I hope you enjoyed it somehow. :)
Thank you Chugga for your ten long years of being here on UA-cam. You’ve helped many people, including myself, have brighter days and brought us joy on the darkest of days. I’ve been going through a hellish time lately, but thanks to you and many other wonderful Let’s Players and UA-camrs, I’ve still have some of my sanity left and I’ve been given so much happiness from your videos. I can never thank you enough for all you’ve done for me Chugga. Thank you so much and may you have many more wonderful years making videos and may you live a happy life my friend.
It took me a few days to totally finish it but I LOVE IT and I’m so glad you made it Chugga it’s a great way for a milestone for my favorite channel of all time!
Chugga, even though you may not be reading this because it'll probably get buried, I just want you to know that I've been with you since WW, and will always think of you as a very close friend even though we haven't met, though I assure you, that will change; I will meet you, and hope to give you a bro-hug and talk to you. I love you brother, and remember, the future is ours to decide, so let's make it the best one we can!
I know you said you like it when your lets plays make others wanna get the game... i like it when i watch one of your lets plays of a game i played already, as to see your experience of the game (or a series such as Zelda where i have missed a few games) and compare it with mine... which is why when i loved it when you started the mario and luigi rpg series, i hope i get to see you play bowser's inside story one day, its a game close to my heart.
Amazing! Ten years of amazing let's plays. Your videos had introduced me to UA-cam nine years ago and you have been my favourite ever youtuber. It's getting harder to find channels like yours on this site anymore. You have been a great inspiration to me and I thank you! =D. Here's to many more years of fun!

Dear Chugga, I've been watching since 2010 I made my account to like your videos. 8 years ago I was 7, Probably not the best influence, but growing up I've still watched you. The fact you're still making videos makes me want to cry in joy. I could recognize your voice even if it came on the radio in the car at the most random point. I'd immediately recognize you anywhere, no matter what random, hectic situation. I grew up troubled and your videos helped me escape and I'm so glad and I'm so happy. You're just so iconic to me and mean so much to me. You brought me into Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Kid Icarus, Zelda, and without you I'd have grown up so differently. Thank you. Please like so he can see this. I want him to know how important he is. I don't know if he's ever seen one of my messages, and I don't know how else to let him know for sure how much he means.
You and everyone helping you on your projects put so much effort into everything you do. The design aspect of layouts and the videos, your “branding”, has changed for the better over the years. I think layouts and designs should convey information in a clean, easy to digest way without overwhelming the viewer. The amount of effort in your work is beyond so many other let’s players, and it shows. Thanks to you and your friends for always putting together such great videos!
Honestly the last part of the video really helps me stay motivated, and what Emile says is so true. You don't have to have fancy equipment to get started, you're better off practising the skills to make videos with stuff that does the job just fine until you can eventually afford the fancy stuff. I wish I'd realised this sooner as I'd be making videos way before I actually started.
I know - for quite some time, if I needed a pick-me-up after a bad day, Chugga, NCS, ProtonJon and JewWario (RI.P.) were the ones I could count on to deliver it.
Usually, I thank youtubers for introducing me to games. This time I thank a videogame, the Legend of Zelda, for introducing me to Chuggaaconroy. When I finished my first Zelda game, Phantom Hourglass, my sister and I were very impressed with it and wanted to know what was the game before it. 7 or 8 years ago, we found Chugga's Wind Waker LP and since then I've watched every single LP of his. I never miss a video, and even games I didn't feel like watching at the start turned to be great and I had a lot of fun. I always say that Chugga puts a lot of effort in his videos, and this one is all the proof you need. Chugga, if you read this, I want you to know that you have been a big part of my life (you have been there almost half of it, actually, haha) and even if you don't know me, I consider you a friend. You are the reason I like puns too! Even when I stopped playing as many videogames as I used to, even when I lost interest in doing stuff I enjoyed, your LPs have been something I'm always eager to watch and I don't think there's any way I could ever unsubscribe from you. I love this community, and even if I probably won't be able to meet you at a con (I live in Costa Rica and no way I can travel all the way there) know that you have a loyal subscriber. I can't wait for everything you have prepared for the future! :D
Even before watching this video, I'd like to say thanks. You've changed my life in a very good way, strengthening my love of video games and inspiring me to become a full time gamer. You also inspired me to give myself the chance to create a living for myself in UA-cam in the future. You inspired me to try Xenoblade Chronicles, Splatoon, and many others. Hell, I'm 13 years old, and I've been watching you since I was 5. Through the divorce of my parents, my thoughts on myself potentially having autism, and my unstable mental state in second grade, you've been there. Always there to cheer me up. This comment's probably gonna get buried in the sea of comments, but I still hope you see this. I know the blood, sweat, and tears that goes into making each of these lets plays. I know you have bad times making these. I know there are times that you feel out of your game and you aren't able to put out videos. I just want you to know this: we all love you, care for you, and root for you. We support whatever you're doing, no matter what. I hope you understand. Me, and all your other fans, we're all with you. You're extraordinary among let's players, doing what any other UA-camr would never dare to do. You set the bar EXTREMELY high. And I'm so grateful that your channel has gained this much popularity in 10 years. I can't wait for what comes next in your career. Thank you Emile. Here's to many more years to come!
been 2 years since this video came out and I never took the time to watch it. But now that I have, damn I knew your videos had a lot of effort put in them but I didn't know it was to this level. so much more respect for you than I already had.
I just wanna say that you are an amazing person. Your work ethic is outstanding and I could learn a lot from it. You're an inspiration and your videos and your let's plays in general are something I've looked forward too for many years. Keep up the amazing work and thank you so much for it all.
I’ve been watching since 2008, and I’m so surprised you only have 1M subscribers even still. Your videos helped me through some tough stages of my life and I honestly have you to thank for my own fondness for awful puns. You’re a hero, Chuggaa. I can’t wait for the 15-year mark.
10 years already, huh? Time sure flies. Congrats, Emile! You deserve it. Thanks for always putting a smile on our faces. I still remember when I first found out about you by randomly seeing one of your Mario Sunshine videos on recommendations, and how it was you that led me to find out about other equally awesome Let's Players. You've always brought a lot of joy to my days, and helped me get through some tough times. I'm really happy to be part of this amazing community full of amazing people. Here's to another ten years!
Emile, as egotistical as it might sound, we have both started the same. Caught word from a friend in high school, saw ProtonJon and carried on doing what we do on this site with out any blueprint or clue as to how to proceed. Despite that, your love of games has brought myself in to this and many similar communities that to this day shape my own goals for perfectionism, commentary, and approaches to videos. I can only thank you for your time and effort you put forth, as well as your assistants in the video creation process. Ten years seems to go by in the blink of an eye, but they've been a delight. Oh, and I'll concur to your comment about telling our families we're not crazy for playing video games.
Been watching since Pikmin 2. Not consistently, sometimes I stopped watching for a while but I always came back for the unique charm of your commentary. Coincidentally I'm preparing to start let's playing myself right now. So this video came at a perfect time for me! I have many memories of watching let's plays and that nostalgia is exactly why I want to start doing it myself. Congratulations on this milestone Emile! Here's to another 10 years!
Hey Emile! Happy 10 year anniversary man! I have been a subscriber for probably the 8 years I have been on UA-cam. You were my inspiration to do Let's Plays 8 years ago. Even though I have had my own experiences, there is still always to learn from the best, so I am extremely excited to see how you do stuff. Like seriously, I never could 100% figure out how you did bios for your Pokémon videos. Most of what I thought was correct, still missing a few things, but it was still interesting to hear! I loved how you talked about equipment and said that you don't need really anything to start, and your videos will pretty much suck at the start. I wholeheartedly agree. My first videos were terrible. I used a horrible camcorder to record my videos at 240p, and when I did use my computer to record new things, I used those old computer mics that plug into the back of the computer (taped on a tootsie roll piggy bank). But, it took a long time for me to upgrade what I would liked to have upgraded. Even now, I still have things I want to upgrade as I have gotten more serious with my channel. For example, like a new computer soon, XLR mics with an interface, and basically a lot of channel rebranding, but these upgrades are not for the normal UA-camr starting out. Little by little I will work my way there, but you can go with way less to produce amazing content! For anyone reading this comment, a downside in investing into amazing equipment at the start is that you may end up not liking the process of making videos or liking it enough to stay on UA-cam. Then money is wasted right away. You can do a whole lot with a lot less at the beginning. Then for editing software, I started with Ulead, then Camtasia, then Vegas, and then finally Adobe Premiere. I am still learning a lot about Premiere as I am using it, but it is indeed challenging software to work with at first. It is the industry leading software, so it is expected that it will be hard to use since you can manually change pretty much anything with it. For the last 8 years, I really haven't grown that much compared to other UA-camrs. In fact, many reading this may say, "who the heck is this guy?". However, the number doesn't really matter. It is all about the experiences and the fun you get from being a UA-camr. Creating your own community is the best thing. My advice to others who want to make their own channel and create content is that you really need a passion in what you do. Obviously, Emile shows the passion in what he does, and look where he is at. Heck, he even showed more passion than I realized by watching this video! People love to see their favorite content creators go above and beyond in order to satisfy them. People also can tell when you are not passionate or when you are not doing enough to make your videos great. It is crazy because I was in 4th-5th grade when I started my UA-cam channel, and now I will be heading off to college for Film and Video Studies and Marketing next fall. It has been a crazy ride, though I will still be continuing my channel while in college. Thanks for indirectly giving me the experience that I might have not done without seeing your content Emile. Keep up the great work! I will always be there to support you as well as many others. And wow... I was not planning on typing out practically an essay in the comments section. Well, I guess it shows you how much you have had an impact on me Emile. Thanks!
Just to brighten your day here are all the game you inspired me to play Earthbound Mother 3 Paper Mario(series) Xenoblade all of them (favorite games Since 2012) Pokemon Zelda Kid Icarus uprising Mario 64 ds Mario and Luigi And that all I can think off Once again thanks for introducing to what are now one of my favorite games.
10 years, that's incredible. Emile, I love all of your videos, and the amount of improvement you've had over these years is amazing. I can't really put into words how much I enjoy your videos, and how much it means to have something to look forward to every 5pm eastern. So, thank you, Emile, for the hours of entertainment you've given me. Thank you for all the overused jokes, random references, and of course, the puns. Here's to another 10 years?
Lyseolia Yeah, I've read that article around the time it released, however I think it would still be possible for him to upload occasionally. If he does go to college, I hope he still stays on UA-cam, even as a hobby. Few monthly videos would still be nice. I don't mean this in a forceful way either, I think that if he wants to leave youtube and LPing for good, then he should do so. It's really up to him what he wants to do, and I respect that.
Wow! 10 years already? That's astounding! And thanks for making this video about making a let's play. It's really interesting, and may be good to look back on if I ever try my hand at let's plays.
Just finished this, very good information and also very inspirational! As someone who is getting back into video production, this came at a great time for me. Heres to many more years!
This is a great beginner guide for new Let’s Players or those who want to improve in there skills. I always come back to this video for inspiration to help me in improving my content😁
I have been on and off watching your channel for about 6 or 7 years now. I remember being in fifth grade and watching your Super Mario Sunshine videos. I am now a Junior in high school. Your videos have always been top notch in terms of quality and it saddens me that I forgot that from time to time. Keep doing what you're doing and I hope to see the same level of quality in the future.
Ooh boy, chuggaconroy. You, sir, are my favorite youtuber of all time. Your videos are educational, funny, and just overall amazing when it comes to letsplays. I've been in since Paper Mario, and I've been hooked ever since. While I haven't subscribed til recently, that's because I have only recently gotten a UA-cam account. You are just an overall an amazing person, and I'm really hoping that I can find you in a convention I go to, wether in the near or far future.
This made me think what LPers like you, NCS, Proton Jon and others have to deal with when starting an LP. 9-Year-old me didn’t know that at all when my first video with you was the NSMB Wii on TRG. I randomly found your Sunshine videos a few moths after watching that collab, and then I’m like ‘Oh look, I think it’s that guy who was Mario in that other game’. I still find it hilarious (especially the blackout during the pachinko machine lvl). And like most people, I regretted it when I took a break from watching your videos, but started watching again when you started M&L: PiT. And you do something most LPers don’t. You really grew up and cared for these games. You don’t rush through them, you take the time to find every Easter Egg, secret or collectables in your LPs. And you always go for 100% completetion, which shows your dedication, and you knew a lot about the game. And unlike most YTers in general, you don’t ask for subs or likes. It’s like you’re just uploading with no goal in mind (even though you do), and I really appreciate that. Like it’s not you try to sneak in a shoutout in between your sentence, or just force it in in the middle of the video. I’ve already played Black twice now, and I feel really nice when you play it 7-8 yrs after it came out. Keep on going Chugga, you really do make people happy. For the next LP, may I suggest one of the newer Mario and Luigi games, Paper Mario: Colour Splash or a game on the Switch?
Thank you for making awesome videos all these years! This video is very interesting to me and I've enjoyed every moment of it while also learning quite a bit of new things!
As someone who has been looking into starting a Let's Play channel and never getting replies from anyone when reaching out about advice... I am really happy you made this video! This is so cool! Thank you, Emile!
I always knew that making these videos took lots of effort and commitment, but it still amazes me the amount of dedication and time you put into each part. Keep up the good work!

NintendoCapriSun ayy but I can't find Jon, I think he's going over the amount of "Fuck this game" said in the entire existence of TRG
The wonderful thing about this video is that you can listen to it anywhere! Ya know, IN THE BATHROOM!
Elora Mast Mission accomplished!
Love you caprisun!
Stop Tim you’re making me cry man!
2 HOURS WITH CHUGGA HOT DAMN
CistReactZ my exact reaction when I saw this video in my sub box 😂

This is what Quality time is.
His Splatoon weapon video was 3 hours long soooo.
10 amazing years, shaping the future of LPs! You've done an amazing job, and you're a total inspiration! xo here's to 10 more!

He's been a huge part of my life too, though I've just made an account recently and subscribed.
Been here sense okami!!!
ThatGuyWhoUA-cams HOLY S*^#;
yeah, chuggs been my childhood!
The sheer amount of work you put in to these videos is amazing and inspirational! Happy to be a part in any small way!
Also, I see what you did with the music in this video....
insaneintherainmusic - Carlos Eiene I thought i was the only one that noticed!
Huh? What do you mean
馮卓耘 , each song corresponded to each let's play he's done in order.
MarktheRaider really? I didn't even notice, That's awesome
I definitely appreciated the helping of your music in there carlos
Chuggaconroy; the UA-camr we need, but don’t deserve. This is like a movie
"How to be a genuine and legitimate Let's Player"- Directed and produced by Emile "Chuggaconroy" (Last name unknown)
Empolo18 his full name is Emiliano Rodolfo Rosales-Birou
Aydenn Sheesh that's a mouthful.
Olimar103 he is part Mexican at least I think or was it Spanish
2 hours of content that was so well done it was seamless (In my opinion)
10 years! amazing man, really happy to see one of the OG Lets Players still going strong :]
Patterrz chuggaaconroy and patterrz soul link confirmed
Galladeiator yes I wouldn’t complain
yesssss
YO PATTERRZ!!
Galladeiator I wish
The day Emile quits LPs will be a sad day indeed
Sam Ringstrom but that will never happen
Beefaroni for vegans we can only hope
I think retirement is more likely
But there will probably be a new generation of lets players that might learn things chuggaaconroy
@@beefaroniforvegans2813 it better not
I could write a book about the endless amount of respect I have for you, in more ways than one.
Fatguy703 he still hurt that rock though
Fatguy703 We love you as well It Really shows how much he has impacted on your gameplay videos and the way you React Keep up the awesome work ALL HAIL CHUGGADADDY❤
He's also really good at maintaining his enthusiasm while also maintaining efficient production.

Matthijs Calje so tru
Keeping it classic and improving over time.
I'm only like 1 and a half hours into this video, but dang, the effort you put into these videos to maintain a high quality has always been seriously impressive, and has also served as a great inspiration for some of my own UA-cam work as well. Keep it up, and here's to another fantastic 10 years!
To Chugaa! Also, hi! I didn't expect to see you here!
Akfamilyhome
I mean he is one of the oldest and most successful let's players on youtube. You don't get to be that without putting in the work.
Honestly Chuggaa is one of the best and definitely a legendary lets player. Yes, there are new LPers who do a good job but Chuggaa has been doing an amazing job for YEARS now!
The amount of passion and work he puts into his vids are always evident and he always bounces back from no matter what (example: the Xenoblade hiatus)
His content hasnt gotten cheap or lost that essence that made us love him from the start, but like a good wine, its gotten better over time.
@@MrMarinus18 chugga even outdid himself in LP #40 Chrono Trigger and even noped out on a spekkio fight
@@Sirkitty01 Thing is many people often ask why quality declines. The truth is it doesn't need a reason. To keep up quality takes active effort so things need a reason NOT to decline.
@@MrMarinus18 you do have a point there
Having not a lot of friends growing up...you were always my best friend. I used to (and still) would play your LP’s during the day while doing random stuff to hear your voice and not feel so alone.
Same here.
Agreed.
He encouraged me to pick up a guide and try Super Paper Mario again, not minding how it wasn't turn-based.
I love how Masae is refered as "my lovely artist" in his notes for himself.
In the 'Improvements from Platinum' section, he says he hopes his lovely artist won't kill him for requesting Zorua, Zoroark and one more I can't remember.
Does this confirm it. ( hopefully but probably not. )
I love/hate how he dances around it. Like we all know they're dating but you can't call them out!
and yet i never want to make any assumptions because, from personal experience, being paired with a good friend can be pretty annoying, especially with the huge nature of the interwebs
Sincerely,
-your fan Jackson

JacksonLOVESNintendo I wholeheartedly agree, and am glad to be able to say the same.
The video ending with Chuggaaconroy begrudgingly saying where he got the squid hat is one of the most Chugga ways he could end a video
Your videos defined my childhood. Thanks for all that you do :)
Pavise Chuggaconroy is the OG let’s player 💪
Pavise, you are one of my favorite youtubers and thank you for all your great content!
Pavise way to make him feel old XD
Pavise chugga has defined a lot of people's childhoods mine included.
Chuggaa isn’t old. He is in his prime
You're not implying his current age is a prime number, right? Because I know he and his fans would do that
Now it’s prime time
I watched this channel before I made my channel
Artti Ilola he will never peak. He will just keep going up and up until he dies or he quits.
i know you probably get a lot of sappy messages, but when you released your new animal crossing lp, my father was in the late stages of cancer. when you released them, i could escape. and then you began to play my favorite pokemon game - and used my second-fave pokemon, zebstrika.
Mason Burns they weren’t talking to you though

Dude when you started talking about how you paced around your house and talked to yourself I had some serious Déjà vu, Your honesty in this video has only made me relate and like you even more, keep it chugga been loving you since your fire red lets play came out
Harvey Worstenholme I keep asking myself if I'm a Chugga clone. Yet, I'm nowhere near that level of editing.
It's pretty clear he was an only child. When I did that my siblings would bang on the door saying I need to be quiet.
I like how the background songs you used are from the games you've done an LP of in order, for instance, first you used an Earthbound song, then a Mother song, then a Paper Mario song, and so on. really nice touch!
You only skipped or forgot a song from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Pokemon Emerald and Zelda Skyward Sword though.
is that so? That's cool. Haven't reached my favorite games musics yet, so I'll look forward to hearing those
Glad you noticed that detail! I wanted to have one song from every game, but it wound up being too long for the length of the video and a few had to be cut.
The attention to detail in these let’s plays is astonishing!!!
Love your vids,
Matty (This is my dad's account so.... yeah)
Never thought I'd see you over here PJiggles!
Cap'nCinnamonBun Same! He was the first UA-camr I watched too
that's like, literally the same story I have with chuggaa myself.
Emile,
you are and always will be THE Let's Player.

: )
*that moment when every song references his let's plays in order, then you realize that this video told us his redo of Earthbound a month or two in advance* ...Whoa.
Mind blown!!!!!!!
“Why’d you think Muna’s a rabbit? She doesn’t even have ears.”
“She..:lost them in the war, I don’t know!”
Little does he know there was a great war in the Pokémon world.
A Person With a Name ya it was in blue and yellow so ya he knows about the war
Gaming Dan I mean there was a huge war described in X and Y as a major part of the plot.
Wow I don't even know you and this touched personally ! Hope you have a good life
"We have a very positive community here." - and that is my ABSOLUTE favourite thing about your channel, Emile. Your personality is so good and I believe that that comes through into the community as well and I don't ever think I've ever seen a community on UA-cam that is so lovely and so positive and I am SO SO SO happy to be a part of it!!! Congratulations on 10 years, Emile! And here's to the future :)
Shrooboid313
I like Marriland's community, though they got too toxic two specific times. They learned from what they did though.
You spelt cthulhu wrong in your name
Wilfred Cthulu you and me both brother
Wilfred Cthulu I agree. He's my favorite LPer and is one I'd definitely go back to re-watch his content, even after he quits.
Chuggaconroy the Movie? Heck Ya!
More like a documentary😒
Antonio Ochoa Is that bad thing ?
Peasant Lemon And Stephen. Maybe Masae also? Haven't watched the whole thing yet.
I’m sorry sir this is a Christian server so no swearing
The Tetris Master do more battlefront 2
For those saying chuggas videos are too short
EAT YOUR HEART OUT
Mitchell Patterson Most of the people complaining about that probably weren't around when UA-cam had time limits.
Seriously, go watch his Earthbound LP if you think his videos are "too short".
Too right mate
Chuggaconroy, the UA-cam type Pokémon
Chuggaconroy is vulnerable to: Bonus Videos
They were right. We don’t like you. We love you, man. For some of us your content is a great way to help us push through this mess of life. Your content is some of my favorite.
I have tears in my eyes I just watched the entire thing. Thank you for everything Emile! This 10 years have been amazing! In a nutshell I grew up watching your videos!
Me to *is still crying*
I felt myself tearing up.
Then proceeded to do a U-turn and start laughing at the end. :D
I was the same way, I'm still kinda laughing and crying at the same time ^_^
Yeah for sure!
Chuggaa,
without your videos, I'd probably wouldn't know much about Mario RPG, Earthbound, or even Wind Waker.
"Where did you buy that Squid Hat?"
*sigh* It was a gift
OH MY GOODNESS THAT END GOT ME SO HARD!!!
Now I became interest and loves puns now so thanks for that too :) but getting back on topic, you were always made my day and motivate me to get better for myself.I read and understand english better because I listen to your LP,and get good grades on English up until I'm in university right now and I enjoy talking with english teacher or tourists.Your knowledge on games made me to be able to talked with someone about them and found someone who has the same interest as me.Basically, you shaped my life like you wouldn't believe:)
I really loved seeing your process on how you make videos because you always make these LP with determination and love for those games.
Sincerely
A simple girl whose life changed in a good way because of you
Ps.
Ps.well at least my grammar is okay.don't really know what to do about mis-space though.^^"
This video proves one thing: Chugga is the hardest working Let's Player.
I think you accidentally typed that in reverse
NightFans Animation thank you
Carlitonsp1 np,thank godness no one get angry with the last comment
And I wasn't scared of trying new things anymore
I bought Earthbound and Mother 1 from the Wii U E-shop and emulated Mother 3 on my phone and finished all of them.
Windwaker lol
I know you said you like it when your lets plays make others wanna get the game... i like it when i watch one of your lets plays of a game i played already, as to see your experience of the game (or a series such as Zelda where i have missed a few games) and compare it with mine... which is why when i loved it when you started the mario and luigi rpg series, i hope i get to see you play bowser's inside story one day, its a game close to my heart.
No Emile, thank *you* for making these past 10 years so incredible; here's looking forward to what the future holds!
i agree with the above statement entirely
Amazing! Ten years of amazing let's plays. Your videos had introduced me to UA-cam nine years ago and you have been my favourite ever youtuber. It's getting harder to find channels like yours on this site anymore. You have been a great inspiration to me and I thank you! =D. Here's to many more years of fun!

Dear Chugga,
I've been watching since 2010
I made my account to like your videos.
Chuggaa Is probably the most inspiring person in the universe...
Yeah he is.
I love Chuggaaconroy. I'm not the best with words, so... I'll leave it at that.
We all love Chuggaaconroy.
I can't believe that I've been watching Chugga for ten years!! Thank you for an awesome child and adulthood!
I've been watching your videos since Super Luigi Galaxy, so seeing you get to 10 years is absolutely amazing to me. Congratulations!!!
10 years? man it's been a fast 10 years. Enjoyed every moment of it though
Thanks!
Just to brighten your day here are all the game you inspired me to play
Earthbound
Mother 3
Paper Mario(series)
Xenoblade all of them (favorite games Since 2012)
Pokemon
Zelda
Kid Icarus uprising
Mario 64 ds
Mario and Luigi
And that all I can think off
Once again thanks for introducing to what are now one of my favorite games.
You're the man Emile! my 4 year old son even now is a fan (thank you for the clean, friendly content). I hope you have many more years of great work!
This video makes it clear that you, Emile, need another title: The Let’s Play Scientist.
add it to the comments in the next video, and add it to his wiki
The Let’s Play Professor
In an age long ago my remotely-religious self called him "the patron saint of the Let's Play." I think that still stands.
Chuggaa the Let’s Play Guy!
The Dancing Hiker
Just finished this, very good information and also very inspirational! As someone who is getting back into video production, this came at a great time for me. Heres to many more years!
Happy ten year anniversary Chugga! I've been watching for years, keep doing your best!
Wow... Chugga, I watched the whole video. Words cannot describe just how much work goes into your videos! You're awesome!
Between liking emile wanting to make the channel as good as possible and the gay pun in your username (Im gay myself) you got yourself a first sub
Whenever I'm wondering how to pursue my next Let's Play, never hurts to get some insight from the best!
Aw hell, I remember the first ones. Happy 10 years chugga!! We love you! That also means you've been in my life for most of my life.
2 straight hours I thoroughly enjoyed! It was awesome seeing the whole process from start to finish!
I always knew that making these videos took lots of effort and commitment, but it still amazes me the amount of dedication and time you put into each part. Keep up the good work!
