Sox didn't expose anything. That series has a historical record of .500 percent for over a century. It's 50/50 when these two meet. Yankees are whipping Balty and that's all that matters for the AL East.

Spin rates and max effort velocity are due to analytics, which is ruining the game. Pitchers don't go deep into a game or through the order three times because they are not taught or encouraged to do that in the minor leagues.
The pitch count limit of 100 came from pitchers rehabbing from TJ surgery, but it does not stop a pitcher from having TJ surgery. Just look at how they are babied and they still get hurt. Spin rates and max effort velocity.
