- The Los Angeles Dodgers came back from a 9-4 deficit with a huge 7-run inning, including a Jason Heyward grand slam, Shohei Ohtani RBI, and Teoscar Hernández home run.
They are the first team in AL/NL history to hit a grand slam and 3-run homer while trailing in the 9th or later in the same game.

When you have a 5 run lead in the ninth, you have to eff up a lot more than having one pitch not called your way to lose.

The Rockies can be upset about the check swing call, but Vodnik didn't have to throw Teo a meatball on the next pitch. Throw a slider, throw to a different part of the plate. The game could have still been over on the next pitch.

Seems like the Dodgers play a home game in every ballpark these days. Even Yankee Stadium had a ton of Dodger fans and Fenway Park last season was the same.

9 years ago, in 2014, LAD vs SD , lots of people walk away from the Stadium, in 8th inning. To later know, the Dodgers tied in the 9th inning with 4th consecutive HR and winning in extra-innings.

I’m not a Dodgers fan whatsoever and it took me until the end of this video to realize it was the top of the 9th and they were away. The whole thing was kind of weird..all the dodgers fans and it even looked like the right fielder was cheering at the second homerun

As a Rockies fan, this is the most shameful loss I’ve ever seen. It’s a testament to how atrocious our bullpen situation is. Sure, we could have won the game if the checked swing call went our way which is heart-wrenching, but we never should have been in that situation. Loading the bases with walks in the 9th inning with a 5 run lead is absolutely unacceptable at the major league level. The bullpen coach should be fired immediately and Tyler Kinley should not be allowed to pitch at the major league level

It can be, well, weird watching the Rockies. Usually they're not a bad team, but then you have games like the one last year when the Angels scored more than 20 runs in a single game against them (also with Shohei in the lineup).

The amazing part about this game was that there were so _many_ Dodgers' fans in that stadium! And Dodgers' fans are always accused of "leaving games early," and that's a fair point, but in this case, it seems like the Rockies' fans were the ones who left early, as all I heard was Dodgers' fans chanting "Let's go Dodgers!" And every time they did something great, it sounded like they played this game in Chavez Ravine!

The Ump does not have to grant the time out, specially if he believes the pitcher has started his wind up. Will Smith tried to call a time out to disrupt the pitcher as he usually does and this time he didn't time it correctly.
