The Knicks didn't receive any proven talent. Mikal is a far below all-star level offensive player, and has been declining as a defensive player. Even if he somehow rediscovers himself on offense and/or defense, he's still not worth 5 picks. Few players are, and Mikal isn't close to that.

Why is everyone saying how is Randle gonna fit now that they have bridges? Bridges isn’t a ball dominant offensive guy and Randle fit just fine last season after the OG trade. Easily a 20 10 guy and their only other all star. The Knicks started to turn things around when Randle got there. He was there before Brunson and they made the playoffs as the #1 guy.
