It won't be that easy to just stop using fossil fuels because that's the main energy that we are using. If we stop using fossil fuels within the short run, a tremendous amount of industries will shut down and that will definitely put a major pause both in many country's developments and economy. Before we stop using fossil fuels, we need to invest in the research and development of renewable energies that are not damaging the Earth while doing the 3 points mentioned in the video. The question to that is : "Who are willing to invest?"

The way that we can make everyone contribute to the research and development is by using tax. Moreover, industries that are in the MICs and LICs mostly belongs to HICs (because of the greener law and such so they move it to countries whose primary needs aren't as fulfilled as HICs yet). We already do..... Logging companies are required to pay a tax that goes towards reforestation every time they get permission to log an area. Also,in the US logging companies are responsible for planting 80% of all new trees every year. In fact,there are more trees in the US now than there were 100 years ago. And it's all thanks to logging companies that have taken a stand. Logging companies rely on trees to stay in business... Most of them plant at least 3 trees for everyone they cut, in a clear-cut op. In selective logging ops,removing those old trees actually greatly helps the ecosystem as a whole. It allows other smaller trees to grow suddenly and quickly because they're no longer being starved for moisture and sunlight.

as a former high school student and a current university student, giving up class to protest isn’t a fantasy of mine, nor was it a fantasy for my peers. we would have loved to stay in school to continue learning. why did we still skip school, then? we wanted to fight for what was right, and the health of the planet will always be more valuable than a couple hours of missed class.

The Amazon's the same way, even if now it produces 20% of the world's oxygen, if enough of it is destroyed, the animals that live around it will produce more co2 than the trees produce oxygen. I've always been a tree lover and planted a small forest on part of my two acres in NY back in the 90's. I planted mainly Austrian Pines, because they are fast growing. At the time, it wasn't about Climate change. I just always seen their importance and their use in other things like buffering noise, privacy, etc. By the time I sold my home, my trees were over twelve feet tall and they were planted as seedlings. Today, it is a little forest in the back of the property I once owned. I remember saying that if I was able to buy that little house and property, I would plant trees and I did. It used to be a pasture.

Plants need CO2 to grow, we need oxygen...we take in oxygen and breathe out CO2... problem solved.
@@bluepuppy1139 it's more about the ecosystems that surround a forest releasing it. The Amazon's the same way, even if now it produces 20% of the world's oxygen, if enough of it is destroyed, the animals that live around it will produce more co2 than the trees produce oxygen.
I'm not 100% sure whether this is actually true however.

People, my intent was actually a challenge to see if she will actually do something on problems that we're facing, since climate change is a global issue (not denying the fact that yes there might be shifts in the weather, etc), I believe it's a natural process, then no country should be exempt from it, I would also suggest going to China & India, will she take up the challenge? I want people to make their own conclusions, personally, I think it's a hoax as well, but that's my opinion. The human race isn't going to be extinct within 12 years in fact, the human race will still be around a long time after that I'm guessing until 2050 & even beyond, but I'm not sure if the population will grow OR start to decline, don't believe me? Read UN agenda 2030 at least they have 'sustainable' plans according to the UN that span until 2050 if I'm not mistaken, but I believe the human race will still be around after that unless some planned genocide on the human race takes effect, so please chill. I've always been a tree lover and planted a small forest on part of my two acres in NY back in the 90's. I planted mainly Austrian Pines, because they are fast growing. At the time, it wasn't about Climate change. I just always seen their importance and their use in other things like buffering noise, privacy, etc. By the time I sold my home, my trees were over twelve feet tall and they were planted as seedlings. Today, it is a little forest in the back of the property I once owned. I remember saying that if I was able to buy that little house and property, I would plant trees and I did. It used to be a pasture.

Co2 isnt bad, its used as a boogeyman as everything is made of carbon. Bog corporations are finding greta, I suggest doing some research. So if things were warming before the industrial revolution we may just be warming back to there naturally. For barely to grow in greenland it means the temp would be a decent amount higher.
