Cherrypicking aside, the evidence for climate change is overwhelming. 95% of scientists are in support of the idea that it's both real and anthropogenic. Which do you think is more likely and plausible:
A) 95% of scientists are being genuine, and 5% are in the pockets of oil industries
B) 95% of scientists are in the pockets of... whoever would profit from this, while 5% are honest
Personally, I'd go with A. The entirety of academia being corrupt is pretty hard to buy. A large conspiracy is less feasible than a few isolated people simply letting oil companies "sponsor" their research.
You're right about one thing, though. The government will do their best to scam you out of your money regardless whether they act for or against climate change. That's not their climate agenda, that's just late stage capitalism (also the same thing that's polluting the planet!). @@billpeart Al Gore did not know shit. Only in the past few years have we been able to reliably analyze the data. As they perfect it the results are getting more and more gloomy....things will get exponentially worse over time, think of it like an avalanche. Estimates have it 2060-2100 before it starts getting really bad, and it all depends on how we fight it as well. Actively, passively, or both. If we don't do both in a few hundred years Earth could be uninhabitable (on the surface). That is, unless we get lucky and have an ice age.....but if we had such a time of natural cooling happen while we actively fought global warming then we could male things go horrible wrong (just not as bad as global warming)

I was making a personal comment about Sir David. The emotion in his eyes. His voice. You can see emotional pain.

May I suggest you read the book 'The uninhabitable earth' by David Wallace Wells. One of the issues discussed in this book is that climate change is not something that is going to 'change the weather' for the next decades. No, it will alter the climate of planet earth for the next millenia.

You might think he is the father of nature and to listen to him at time's he seems to put himself into that role. But while I've always enjoyed his nature documentaries because of the beauty of the production, I've always been sceptical about his personal opinions that he puts across as if they were gospel truths, which they certainly are NOT. David has a very persuasive authoritative voice and that is very dangerous for misleading his audience and propagating his materialistic views about Darwinian evolution which are now debunked. God the creator is the Father Nature. David Attenborough depictions of the effects of climate change on nature are proved to be wrong and I suspect deliberately so. The evidence can be found on UA-cam. Climate forcing, the future is cold.
@@gerardmoloney9979 UA-cam is a great place to learn but not every video is factual. There is a tonne of bullshit on here too. So who exactly proved David's opinions on climate change are wrong? Are they a reliable source? The "missing link" theory connected to evolution was debunked but not evolution itself. Although Darwinian Evolution may have been debunked, Evolution as a theory is still relevant and has been adapted with newer research. Darwinian Evolution is only a branch of the theory. I don't believe that the theory of Evolution is quotably true just yet but I'm playing "devil's advocate" here.
Besides the point, this video is about the climate, not evolution theory. You can be wrong about one thing and right about another. We are human after all.
The general view is that Climate Change is natural and it occurred over many periods in the past before humans were even around. The concern is not whether Climate Change exists (it does). The concern is that humanities actions are increasing the rate at which Climate Change occurs. And should we reach a point where we're too late to do anything about it, we will be ill equipped to handle what nature throws our way. Which makes logical sense.

World leaders can't do what is necessary without becoming dictatorial. We must all make radical changes in our own lives, change social norms and challenge anyone who isn't "doing their bit". It is predicted that the world's population will reach a new carrying capacity of over 7 billion by the end of the century.
For the sake of future generations, we must find ways to create sustainable yet fulfilling livelihoods for a growing global population whilst restoring natural processes and ecosystem functions. Our success has been our downfall. And with it, the loss of other precious species and ecosystems. This is a global problem which requires collective action at local levels. Devolved governance coordinated and monitored by a global government (UN?) is required. Nationalism/tribalism is the major obstical to a coordinated effort from humanity.
