In August 2018, then 15-year-old Greta Thunberg skipped class to protest in front of the Swedish parliament to raise awareness about climate change, holding a sign that read "Skolstrejk för Klimatet." Since then, she's continued to strike on Fridays (which became Global Climate Strikes), she's delivered blunt speeches on the world stage, and she's ignited a global youth-led movement to fight climate change.
Greta Thunberg's protest began with a tweet from @GretaThunberg:
"Vi barn gör ju oftast inte som ni säger åt oss att göra, vi gör som ni gör. Och eftersom ni vuxna skiter i min framtid, så gör jag det med.
Jag skolstrejkar för klimatet fram till valdagen."
Which, translated in English, reads:
"We children usually don't do as you tell us to do, we do as you do. And if you adults don't care about my future, neither do I. I will school strike for the climate until election day."
In one Greta Thunberg speech, she says, "We have come here to let you know that change is coming, whether you like it or not. The real power belongs to the people."
In this Greta Thunberg interview, One Small Step host Lucy Biggers chats with the young activist to discuss Thunberg's experience starting a global environmental movement and to talk about what other ways we can all work towards combating climate change as we move forward into the future.

Rollling I have to disagree with you. See, you got half of the picture right but didn’t get the full consequence of increasing carbon dioxide. As CO2 gradually increases the heat coming from the sun will stay longer inside out atmosphere thus making global warming. As our planet heats up the ice sheets in North and South pole AND Greenland melts thus eliminating the ability of sun light to reflect off of the ice sheets; less ice sheets means more heat. Increasing CO2 in our atmosphere will affect all living things in the planet. Hope this enlightens you.

Actually, Greta is an excellent representative of the climate religion. If she were any more rational, it would be easier to mistake it for a viable position. Her ridiculous arguments make it easier to see the climate religion for what it is. I care more about the environment than ever before by taking small steps you talk about....recycling, trying compost as much as possible within my home, picking up trash in my neighborhood, decided to buy new things, clothings but careful with what kind of material I choose, stop eating most meat.
Planning to see recycling bins and compost bins in the community I live as a start.

Warming is a huge part of it but not the only thing. That's why they changed the name to climate change. The changes in temperature among other things that are causing ripple and domino effects regarding weather and environmental quality all around the world including over heating, draughts, sea levels rising, floods, stronger and more frequent hurricanes, pollution, and so on.

One question about the facts: are planes only producing 6x more co2 than trains? I thougt it was much more, about 75 000x more.
That's correct 75 000 is a more accurate estimation.
I think there is a lot of variation, some trains still run by fuel which makes their carbon emissions higher, though they're still much more efficient than planes (less carbon emissions per person per kilometre). Many trains run by electricity though, which can be green, or not - that again reduces the emissions accordingly.
