Im super interested in how your experience went with the weight of these dreads! Me and my friend had been wearing wool dreads for a good month or so and wanted to try the dreadful hippie ones. My friend got a whole head of them, about 25 or 30 and oh my gosh they're so heavy compared to our other ones! It actually gave both of us quite a bit of pain and she had a headache for a week. She has somewhat fragile hair and the lady said that it would be fine if she used them on her hair. She actually ended up having some breakage and so did I, I was pretty sad about it. I definitely think the price is a bit high, especially for synthetic ones that are fairly easy to make at home (we actually started making our own because it's fairly easy and cheap). I'm sure these dreads work for everyone else but just thought I'd put my experience out there in case anyone else has experienced this as well haha. Anyways, love your videos and I think you look gorgeous with your dreads! 😁
Dang! That’s too bad for your friend! I know I definitely installed mine too tight. I think they could definitely cause damage if installed incorrectly! That’s awesome you have a set that works for you!! 🥰
Girl you are awesome- your tutorial really helped me with my sectioning. I would put WAYYYY to many on top and it was too much volume for me. I am happy with the way it lays now that I used your tutorial
I think since those are double ended (which is the only kind Dreadfull Hippie sells atm) if you left them in your hair you’d end up with a dread that has two ends. If you end up wanting them permanent I guess you could go to a loctician and have them cut the dreads in half and attach them to your hair. But these are more twist and seal, usually a loctician will use some style of crochet. If you do get single ended dreads and leave them alone then yeah those would be less of a weird look if your natural hair dreaded with it.
Well your right your hair is very bleeping cool and I would be one of the ones who would stare and wanna no more about it lol Thank You so much you answered a lot of my questions. I think I know the color and style I want now . I will be going to a rock and roll festival in a month so I better start ordering . Have a great day I love your style .
So how many do you recommend if we do the single threaded instead of the double? Same amount? but will be more parts or just 30. I’m wanting to do this so bad now watching all ur videos and i just dont wanna waste money that i really dont have my 9yo son also wants dreads and this is the perfect way so if he wants to remove he can and what length would you recommend for a 9yo lol ❤
I thought they would be too hot in the summer but. I actually didnt have that experience! They were great with airflow on my scalp lol I only swam with mine once and it was totally fine! I think when they are wet they get a bit heavy but thats true for showering as well. No reason you should stop swimming :)
That’s awesome! There are so many different manufacturers for dreads at so many different price points :) I’m glad you found a set that works for you! :)
It depends on the material and how good the quality is plus if they’re all the same colour or there’s blends or ombré etc plus if they include wraps or decorations. I had 50DE of synthetic in my entire head from Etsy for £300 but then got a full head of wool ones from a small business owner for only £170. A popular shop called Dreadful hippie gets a lot of people’s attention but they are very expensive compared to others. I would start with a set that’s not more than £200 ish, especially if you’re at all unsure if you’ll like it. My first set took about 6 hours to put in and lasted 2 months :)
How many dreads you'll need depends on how much hair you have. When I had dreaded my actual hair I ended up with about 90 pretty chunky dreads. It's not exactly a choice.
Hello, my friend, I am a manufacturer specializing in dreadlocks. We launch a new dreadlocks and give them to you for free. I just hope to get your comments. Thank you and have a nice day.

For price, it depends. My full head was about $250 from Girl on the Moon on sale too. $700 is A LOT of synthetic dreads.

Your twists are super cute.
What length are your dreads?
20-22 inches when folded in half but they can be made longer/shorter if they are folded differently!
Do you wrap them or wear a bonnet when sleeping?
No! I tried a bonnet and it worked alright but I was already used to wearing them down while sleeping 🥰 I did like the bonnet tho!
@@nicolepoulton Thank you very much! LOVE your videos and excited for my extensions!!
