Not sure if you've noticed, but Harry reviews a variety of products from various tennis brands. Frankly, this information was enlightening for me. I had no idea Solinco made a 20g string. Feel free to share your "sponsored ad" comment on other videos where he covers Wilson, Yonex, and Head products.
Maybe 10 years ago I played with a 19 G poly in one of my old wood Slazenger Challenge frames. It was great but it lasted only about two sessions on court. I usually play with a gut or gut poly combo but I enjoyed playing with something different. Plus the cost of gut compared to poly is astronomical.
I'd been experimenting with strings for years and years. I've really liked freshly strung soft copolys hybrided with either slippery polys or a nice soft synthetic gut. But I found that while feeling great and having excellent spin potential, those setups just didn't last long. They played pretty well maybe 3 months max, though usually only 2 months or so. I bit the bullet maybe a year and a half ago and went with natural gut and slippery poly crosses. This setup doesn't have quite as much spin potential, but boy does it last a long time! I really like the Luxilon natural gut. It feels crisper than other natural gut brands. I might try out uber thin polys some time, but I doubt they'll last nearly as long as what I'm using now. Since I'm not a string breaker, natural gut seems to last forever without any noticeable drop in playability...
I use a fisherman’s knot (think that is the name) and I slip a 16g bit of string in the knot to assure that it doesn’t go thru the grommet. I have no idea if this is recommended by pro stringers, but for me it works great.
Only Racquets I like 19/20g Solinco in are small head size or super tight pattern. Otherwise they are not durable enough. I prefer Tour Bite Soft in slightly thicker gauge for comfort.
I'm not a big string breaker and have been using 20g Hyper g for almost a year now. This is something I'll always go to.
What tension do you use and how often do you restring? Thanks!
when ppl say they break their strings, does it mean the string snaps?

@@farishmzn yeah. pretty much snap.
I used Tour Bite 20 once and absolutely loved it. I don't break strings either, but I busted the 20 gauge in 15 minutes.
Hi. You mentioned that you strung Coach Rob's racquet with Hyper-G 20g at 46 lbs. What tension was he playing when he used a multifilament? Thanks.
The Solinco Promotional Channel is in full flow.

LOL. He's just posted a video "HOW TO GET A SPONSORSHIP FROM SOLINCO?" Promote Solinco much? 😂

It's true though, he does do alot of Solinco promotion.

Man, he is hitting continental forehands with almost zero spin. Why should he play with any poly?
cos Harry is promoting Solinco instead of Wilson?
This poly will lose tension way before Rob breaks his multi.
Harry seems funny, thats it. Just a legal business guy, making money with comments, like mine😂

Exactly what I was wondering….
And tips on stringing 20g? It always goes through the big Yonex grommets. Specifically starting knots

Tried Hyper G when it first came out. liked it a lot, but playability lasted about 1/2 of what I got from Alu Power.
Who is running the shop when you’re out making vids 24/7?????

Solinco advertising....
Spend a little more money and get a real ball machine instead of fast trak
What a sellout, he doesn't need/want to play with poly and he 100% will not use poly in the future. There are better ways to flaunt your sponsorship
