First! Nice review mate! For me personally, it’s kinda crazy how it’s both mushy but also a little forgiving but also stiff but also has some feel but also has ok ball pocketing but also has low power LOL.
It has a good balance of just about everything but nothing really stands out for me. Although spin and control are really good, I don't really have the feel for control on my touch and angle shots. It seems a bit contradictory when I described the string but I think it suffers a bit from an identity crisis. But it's still a good string, just not something I would play a tournament with if that makes sense.
@@opencourt808 I completely agree with your sentiment! I'm not even sure "identity crisis" is the right way to describe it. It's just a good string that does everything 7/10. That's actually a REALLY hard thing to do, which is why I feel its so popular. Every time I hit with it after a while I go like: wow, this is so good, why am I trying to find a different string? Then after a week I remember: oh yeah, I want it to be a 10/10 in one or two things LOL! But yeah, I'm in the same boat as you: I wouldn't play a tournament with it either.
@@opencourt808I recently tried out O-toro and thought it had great comfort and feel, I think hybriding it with Hyper G in the mains might give me what I’m looking for
It's work well with soft/low RA racket such as Clash, ball pocketing and spin is amazing and low RA balance the stiffness of string bed, your PS stiffness + hyperg stiffness may not a gd experience.
Thank you for the review. I tried Hyper G 1.15 on my Blade 98 16x19. For the first 2 hours it was wonderful, it increased the sweet the spot, gave me great pocketing, as well as power and spin. But the honeymoon lasted for only two hours. After that it became very inconsistent and very launchy. I am wondering what happens if I pre-stretch it? I will give it a try.
@@opencourt808 The numbers would suggests otherwise. The Hyper G gauge 16 is: 219 stiffness, 26 % tension loss, Energy return 89 and spin 7....The Tour Bite gauge 16: Stiffness 203, 47% tension loss, 85 % energy return, and 6.7 spin.... It would suggest that the Tour Bite is the mushier of the two. Mushy means soft and energy absorbing where I come from.
@@benjaminjensen111TW's measurements aren't that accurate. If you compare Tourbite 16L vs. Hyper-G 16L there, you'll see that the Tourbite 16L is a lot stiffer (238) than the Hyper-G 16L (208). What doesn't make sense is that the Tourbite 16L is somehow stiffer than the Tourbite 16, according to their data. I wouldn't trust their numbers totally.
Good observation. Looks like he/they have Swithed the stiffness number for the 16L and the 16. all the other tour bites stiffness goes down as the string gets thinner. So you are right. the tour bite is stiffer at 16 ...238 and hyper G 219 I think he/they also made a mistake with the MSV Focus Hex gauges. I think correct meassures but didnt put in the right box in the Excel. So yes need to read the numbers with some cautiousness.
@@nakmuay5034 hmm. I just realised that the stiffness numbers in the excel most likely has been switched on TB 16 and 16L. making the TB 16L (1.25) 203 and Hyper G 1.25 218 making the 1.25 gauge Hyper G stiffer than TB

@@opencourt808 Hyper G is my go to tournament string. I can string it low and I just don't miss the ball.

I'm with you - not a fan primarily due to the feel. I prefer crisper strings like Tour Bite and Lynx Tour.
I think you should a thinner gauge
You have a Pros Pro string machine but no Pros Pro strings?
There doesn't seem to be any demand for Pro's Pro string reviews
Hi I'm wondering if the Hyper-G or Silver 7 Tour has more string potential?
If we're strictly speaking spin potential, the hyper g provides more but the silver 7 tour is more predictable
Just to confirm, the snapback on the 7 tour is not good compared to the average poly? The spin potential mainly comes from the bite to the ball?
Its for heavy hitters. I think your level is mid level club player. Maybe that why you dont feel at home with Hyper G?
I don't feel at home with it because it is very mushy. I like crisp strings like tour bite.
