For those who think $220 is low, Season 3 was released in 2015, nearly 10 years ago. Nowadays, the fine for breaching biosecurity ranges from 550 to 5,500.
I think it's low because I know from earlier episodes that's not the maximum fine for the time. I think some got $340? These are very blatant and nasty smuggling attempts.
It's just amazing how people just think they can travel into a country with a half a suitcase full of dead animals and think it's o.k. obviously they have done it before and got through

Im only 9mins into the video & i can already tell the young man from canada has ingested drugs by his body reactions & answers to questions he wasnt asked, you dont refuse a search (its just a frisk & we are required by law to do it), unless you dont want me to find something, The officer can call for an internal search if he feels the young man is not being honest & upfront with him & thats ALOT LESS FUN😂😂

Nah, with all the technology customs use they have had to get smarter. They have been forced to spread their risk and reduce detection by sending smaller amounts through on their mules instead of hiding large quantities inside of pallets of goods. They are obviously frustrated by this and don't want to go to the effort of doing this time consuming task. So, they try to send a slightly larger quantity through, hoping THAT is small enough to get through. It is just pure laziness on behalf of the drug pushers abroad who now have to spend more time, effort and money on their "business dealings" and they hate the added expense. Remember, it's a business to these guys and everything comes down to the bottom line. All businesses try to reduce expenses and increase profits.
The guy with the dreds is ridiculous for thinking he can talk his way out of *not* being checked for drugs at Border Security. I mean if these people are trying to bring drugs through, you'd think they'd have come up with a more plausible, less wildly suspicious excuse SMH
I can handle returning Australian citizens becoming a bit frustrated even rude with their own border security people however when visitors are rude well that really gets my goat!

The dogs don’t get a treat. They get a special thing that they always get when they mark for narcotics, food, money etc. In Australia it seems like it’ s a roll of cloth. You could see it when in the mouth when the dog came out of an interrogation room.

It' s because it's a TV show, from the legacy TV networks. They have probably 5 minutes commercial break every 10 minutes or something, so each time they have to recap everything. For example, in the US, a 40 minute TV series episode is broadcast during a 1 hour slot, there is literally 20 minutes of commercial for 40 minutes of content..
I love these sniffer dogs ❤🐕 . They obviously enjoy their jobs very much. However, I don't understand the special thing the handler gives to the dog. It looks like a folded towel. Why does the dog like it so much?
They like the toy/towel so much because it is the reward used during training. The reward is given to them after they find the drugs. Once found, the trainer gives them the reward, gives them praises and plays with them.

It' s because it's a TV show, from the legacy TV networks.
They have probably 5 minutes commercial break every 10 minutes or something, so each time they have to recap everything.
For example, in the US, a 40 minute TV series episode is broadcast during a 1 hour slot, there is literally 20 minutes of commercial for 40 minutes of content..
Either you have drugs or you don't just send him back to wherever he came that's being obstinate

I love these sniffer dogs ❤🐕 . They obviously enjoy their jobs very much. However, I don't understand the special thing the handler gives to the dog. It looks like a folded towel. Why does the dog like it so much?
It probably contains some kind of dog nip, meat or some other type of scent.

They like the toy/towel so much because it is the reward used during training. The reward is given to them after they find the drugs. Once found, the trainer gives them the reward, gives them praises and plays with them.
