Same, just wasted so much time trying to find an exit, finally realized I had to enter the portal, and made it to the ship with about 40 seconds to spare... Except you have to charge the damn ship and it's so slow. The game is fucking horrible at communicating this shit to the player.
Facts. I scored my first kill blew 3.5 minutes running around in circles looking for a fucking way out. (Was especially cool, cause the portals they give you together out are the exact same diameter and color as the legendary that gives you the two floating orbs which I happen I happen get) so I have 4 or so floating orbs of energy floating around all of which had no effect to make this anywhere Near intuitive. Dumbest shit ever. Just spent the last week trying to unlock capt now I'm here watching videos that arnt relevant to my issue..
engineer is also probably the easiest since when he steals your items, the turrets you put down before the succ will still have items so they will do quite some damage
This is a more useful tip than anything given in the video, really. I personally always wipe at stage 3 at the insane map wide aoe laser thingy. Catches me off-guard every time for some reason haha.
Me and my friend were able to cheese him on Monsoon when we stacked 20 fuel cells, 6 gestures, and a royal capacitor to kill him before he grabs your items.
Got to the item stealing phase and then I got one shotted as a loader with 1000 extra shield. I was mad, but the music is this game is so goddamn good.
pro tip for this boss fight, when he starts the item stealing phase, immediately spam all of your abilities to do as much damage as possible, if you do it right and have enough damage you can kill him before he even finishes taking your stuff away
I absolutely love this game, but this boss fight is a big disappointment Why have a 30 minute fight that can end with getting one-shotted by the boss. On top of that, the attacks are wildly unpredictable.
You ever wonder... if Mithrix had power to keep the moon from exploding or the moon is his power, you are able to beat him from gathering items like rockets to electric guitars and wisps
So I got to the part where he steals all of your items (this was my first time fighting him and I didn't know jack), up until this point I had spindel tonic, gesture of the drowned and 3 fuel cells + all the other good stuff. I forgot to turn on the tonic, and all those debuffs hit me like a truck. And then I died.
His basic attack is always a dash and a swing, he can only do a dash and a swing every 5 seconds, he can only slam his hammer every 5 seconds, if he does the hammer slam before a dash and a swing he will immediately follow up with one, he has 2 dashes he can use on a small cooldown, used only to close the gap and if he catches up he will use a dash and a swing, if he starts his sprint animation he will be able to shoot needles at you and remember that it's the only time he can shoot them, so don't run away too far from him, and he can only jump every 30 seconds, all of this can happen in phase 1 and phase 3, in phase 3 his hammer slam gains a Shockwave and makes a fire pillar, after landing from a jump in phase 3 he will create rotating fire walls from him, he will do it 5 times and go back to his regular attacks, and then in phase 4 he will use needle at you every couple of seconds, and spawn balls of energy if you are on the same level as him, overall the boss is EXTREMELY predictable
This guy is definitely Providence's brother from the first game. Similar fighting style with all those teleporting drop attacks and if you read Mithrix's monster log, his brother loves worms... Providence had 2 pet magma worms.
i recently got obessed with this game. just now i beat the final boss all went well except when the fucking ship could load fast enough so the moon blew up :)
i was on easy mode. round 23 ( just finished the commando do 20 runs in a row) said ok time to do final boss, at this point i literally had like 20 of every single item except lunar items. Got to the phase where he steals all my items and he one shots me...how the hell was i even supposed to have a chance at beating him?
Yeah my first time fighting him i made it to the phase, came to this video due to being pissed i made it that far without any guidance, only to have the items i chose for my build make him immortal, especially as my build was centered around transcendence which made the boss basically immortal.
i had just done 40 stages and had a buttload of items so i decied fuck it and go for the boss. up until stage 4 it was a cake walk .. once he tooks my items i hit him once he became invisible and next second he was right next to me and just blasted me lol. I was engineer too played on normal diff.
After a god run, first time reaching him, the moment he stole my items coincided with me coming down of 30 nonstop minutes of Tonic/crack, i became so so so slow. XD
i was on a run with loader to beat the game in 25mins and one of the adds on the last boss spawned inside the wall and lost the challenge....great game btw
Thing thing that sucks about this fight if you don't have moment items for whatever reason, its impossible to make it back to the escape ship rendering a run pointless.
@@fisheryboi835 On a lot of builds movement items arent neccesary, and with the cool new trading mechanics and scrapping i was trying out some cool tanky builds on monsoon.... and then I got to the final boss and couldnt escape in time... kinda shitty to force the players to have movement items but also add in and bolster mechanics that allow more freedom over item collection. Whats the point of trying cool new builds if I have to have a bunch of speedy items no matter what?

If it worked out for you thats cool man, but it really fucked me over and im not the first one to have this issue. I also had an issue where I got stuck on the outer island after a 20 minute run with no way to get back up, and jumping off did nothing for me. the lunar area def needs a rework in my opinion.
@@calenhoover1124 just get one hopoo feather, a few energy drink aswell if you're engi. You don't need to get back up just jump far enough and it puts you back on the map
i got to his final stage second try and i didnt know what was happening when he stole my items then he just oneshot me. really ruined any fun i was having in the game to get to the final thing and just be oneshot without warning or any indication of what to do.
i was playing randomly and i just testing some random codes on sky meadow and i found the primordial teleporter and then ive been oneshot by the 2nd mithrix xD
Beat the boss, got very lucky, only for my run to end because I took too long to get to the ship. After all the work I put in to get to that point, getting my W yanked from me because I had trouble getting to the portals felt so frustrating. Like, come on, that last part (including how the game doesn't tell you to get into the portals to escape the arena in the first place) feels like such a dick move.
Well fuck. I failed an hour run on Monsoon. Had no idea he would take ALL my items away. Even getting him to about 20% health he destroyed my last turret, but I never got a single item back, and he regenerated up to half hp. I got destroyed.
It's suicide to fight this boss with low mobility survivors. Last phase just make you helpless. Only way to kill him is to nuke him before he starts getting everything.
I saw this boss and i went "huh" and just spent the entire game in the air with artificer with only one feather, this boss can't do anything to you in the air
Yeah, caught me off guard when I ran into it. I thought it was a straight up cutscene and didn't realize (according to some in here) that you could attack him while he was stealing your items. So what I did (to get to his 4th stage at least) was focus my build on single target damage while keeping group damage to a minimum. So crits, bleeds, attack speed, and whatever would allow me to take a hit, or avoid one altogether.
Okay, so do this, what I said earlier, focus primarily on survivability, speed, and single target damage. Missiles, bleed, crit, armor, life vial, etc, you'll want at least one uke for crowd damage but that's about it. Roughly 10 fuel cells with a conduit should be fine for his final stage (I had 11). Keep your distance for most of the fight and use your utility to dodge. When he gets to the final phase, he'll be immobile for a moment. As soon as he starts moving immediately start spamming conduit. It should kill him before he's finished taking your items. I did this on monsoon difficulty with the commando using the artifact of command, sacrifice, and swarms, solo, so if you're playing on a lower diff, you should be fine with that advice.
@@kaneda7368 There's an area that's difficult if you don't know what you're doing, so easy you can walk away from the game if you do. At the bridge right outside the lunar shop, look down and to the left, you'll see green. Jump down there, try not to die (use your utility or double jump to catch yourself) and you'll find a portal to a place you can only visit once per playthrough. You'll want 1 plate armor, 3 barbwires, some scythes, seeds, and glasses. The area slowly kills you while your outside of the protective bubbles, you charge the bubbles by standing inside of them. It's 3 damage per tick but the armor reduces it to 1, the barbwire procs each time you get damaged from standing outside of one of the bubbles and the rest is for extra damage and healing. Basically, start a bubble, farm a bit, fill bubble, move to next bubble, repeat. This farming only really works if you're using the artifacts I mentioned earlier since otherwise the only items you get in that area is for finishing each bubble. Time doesn't move in this area, so you can farm as long as you like, go for a walk, watch a show, then come back, claim your spoils and leave the area with a ridiculous headstart in power. It may take some practice.
I'm new to this game so maybe I'm missing something. But I jus t defeated the boss, hooray I'm very proud. But now I can't leave the area!!! That stupid wall is still blocking me, I can't leave?! Am i just supposed to die here or what???
This happened to me too. It took me 10 minutes to figure out how to get back to the main platform by falling off the map as far away as I could. Really feels like they didn't plan it out properly
In the item stealing phase there seem to be crystals growing on him, I'm reaching for straws here but I think those are the items and what if you can hit the crystals to get your items back? Rather than brute force damage anyway.
my first time playing risk was on Mul-t and on drizzle, i first time and killed the boss... idk why people are finding it so hard, although i was lucky to get the red bear which lets u have another life.
Not gonna lie, this video is pretty unhelpful. Most of your tips can be boiled down to " he has this attack. Don't get hit by it." Like yeah, no shit. It would be better if you said how to avoid his attacks and strategies to approach the fight. Like the rotating energy move at 1:52. You could have told us to move further away from Mithrix because the space between each energy blast is more spread out the further away you are from the centre; so it's much easier to dodge the attack than if you were closer to Mithrix. This is a lot more useful than "you don't want to get caught in that."

every fucking guide i see people are playing with Artifacts.. When are people just going to admit this boss is aids? Not balanced properly, and can kill you instantly with untelegraphed abilities?
i dont think the boss is that hard just annoyingly long and bullet spongey. after you kill him once you have to kill a bunch of normal enemys okay thats ok annoying seeing how we just killed him and he was easy to dodge but took a long time. Then he respawns agian. and you have to do it agian. like i spend more time on the boss then it takes me to come to the boss
Yeah this. Also, he plays on drizzle and still dies.. i'm not gonna shame people for what they play, but if you do a guide be sure to have some competency in what you teach.
@@canel6256 Imagine expecting a boss guide to actually mention some boss mechanics, tactics, survival strategies or useful tipps like a recommendation for when to fight or skip the boss in a run, or what items are especially usefull or.. anything, really. What we got instead was some guy doing a gameplay commentary on drizzle. That's it. I did the run on monsoon. The most helpful thing offered by this video was the commend section. To leave some tips myself: movespeed is required, as his telegraphed attacks are insanely hard to dodge in stage 3. An extra life would be grand. Burst damage and kiting, or high health sustain helps. Engineer is kind of OP since his turrets take care of stage 4 by themselves. That's the bossfight in a nutshell. That plus the actual boss mechanics would have made for a basic proper guide. As it is, however, these 3 lines are plenty more useful than the entire video.
Yes, and I do recommend doing what me and my friend did... "Me and my friend were able to cheese him on Monsoon when we stacked 20 fuel cells, 6 gestures, and a royal capacitor to kill him before he grabs your items." Use the scrapper if needed to get more fuel cells whenever you find a 3D printer.
Hey bro, sorry to bother you with a bit of a weird question, but every time I kill Mithrix on his final phase, the game crashes. Any chance you, or someone in the comments has a fix?
He is the final boss. The fight has multiple stages tho.. after you defeat him once multiple mobs spawn, when you clean those he returns in a stronger form, and after defeating that one, he returns very weak but steals your items. Imho stage 3 is the hardest.. if you've beaten all 4 no other boss should spawn. Can only imagine you defeated stage 1 and thought the spawned mobs were a new boss?

but now, its not working anymo, sad. the latest patch makes boss invulnerable from any damage. when he;s done stealing your stuff, the hell begins.

There's a glitch where the spinning laser blast can go through the ledge though. Only happens sometimes.

i used the missile launcher and when i got to the 4 stage of the bossfight i spammed E and got all my items back

I beat him on my first try, then I died because I got stuck on some black hole, I think it was a void reaver... fuck.
In the item stealing phase there seem to be crystals growing on him, I'm reaching for straws here but I think those are the items and what if you can hit the crystals to get your items back? Rather than brute force damage anyway.
That's exactly what happens: if you shoot the crystals, you get some items back.
This is literally like saying "get gud"
New to the game, just beat him and tried running away but the force field is preventing me
my first time playing risk was on Mul-t and on drizzle, i first time and killed the boss... idk why people are finding it so hard, although i was lucky to get the red bear which lets u have another life.

Not gonna lie, this video is pretty unhelpful. Most of your tips can be boiled down to " he has this attack. Don't get hit by it." Like yeah, no shit. It would be better if you said how to avoid his attacks and strategies to approach the fight. Like the rotating energy move at 1:52. You could have told us to move further away from Mithrix because the space between each energy blast is more spread out the further away you are from the centre; so it's much easier to dodge the attack than if you were closer to Mithrix. This is a lot more useful than "you don't want to get caught in that."
I beat the boss without knowing how to sprint.
"enjoy the fight its alot of fun" meanwhile me and my friend fought him and decided to quit playing this and uninstall. interesting.

i dont think the boss is that hard just annoyingly long and bullet spongey. after you kill him once you have to kill a bunch of normal enemys okay thats ok annoying seeing how we just killed him and he was easy to dodge but took a long time. Then he respawns agian. and you have to do it agian. like i spend more time on the boss then it takes me to come to the boss
Well your tutorial is basically saying : "dodge his attacks, kill him", no useful tips really
Yeah this. Also, he plays on drizzle and still dies.. i'm not gonna shame people for what they play, but if you do a guide be sure to have some competency in what you teach.

@@canel6256 Imagine expecting a boss guide to actually mention some boss mechanics, tactics, survival strategies or useful tipps like a recommendation for when to fight or skip the boss in a run, or what items are especially usefull or.. anything, really. What we got instead was some guy doing a gameplay commentary on drizzle. That's it.
I did the run on monsoon. The most helpful thing offered by this video was the commend section.
To leave some tips myself: movespeed is required, as his telegraphed attacks are insanely hard to dodge in stage 3. An extra life would be grand. Burst damage and kiting, or high health sustain helps. Engineer is kind of OP since his turrets take care of stage 4 by themselves. That's the bossfight in a nutshell. That plus the actual boss mechanics would have made for a basic proper guide. As it is, however, these 3 lines are plenty more useful than the entire video.

Yes, and I do recommend doing what me and my friend did... "Me and my friend were able to cheese him on Monsoon when we stacked 20 fuel cells, 6 gestures, and a royal capacitor to kill him before he grabs your items." Use the scrapper if needed to get more fuel cells whenever you find a 3D printer.

You can just use a normal teleporter to keep the run going. :) It will be hidden somewhere else in the level.
the outer ring of the primordial teleporter is interactable - you can use it to switch between staying on the planet and going to the final area

There's a switch on the teleporter to align it with the planet to keep the run going. otherwise it spawns aligned with the moon

Is him the final boss. I ask you because i beat him and another boss has appeared in the same arena.
He is the final boss. The fight has multiple stages tho.. after you defeat him once multiple mobs spawn, when you clean those he returns in a stronger form, and after defeating that one, he returns very weak but steals your items. Imho stage 3 is the hardest.. if you've beaten all 4 no other boss should spawn. Can only imagine you defeated stage 1 and thought the spawned mobs were a new boss?
