Wow I thought it was just me when I did mine recently. I ran into the same problem haha; luckily I didn't put it all back together and tried testing it in the car before putting the front piece back on. I figured out eventually this was the method to recalibrate the speed, rpm and temp gauge. For the fuel gauge I set it back to empty and then let it recalibrate by itself slowly after turning on the ignition. Good to see you got the 220kpm overlay now too!
Hi there. Thanks on the tip. Does it work on any honda gauge cluster? I have the same problem on a crx and I can't fix it. It gets stuck. Greatings from Portugal.
@@JarrodWillemse Thank you. I believe it is not broken. The problem was that I took the needle off and I was not able to insert it on the correct position. But I'll try your tip. Thanks again.
How about the temperature gauge? Can you show hot to reset/calibrate the temperature gauge needle? Becuz after I removed and put the needle back on it was higher from the center mark
How to calibrate speedometer needle, the only way i find to drive fast till i hear warning sound at 122km then i set the needle. Is there any safer way
I'm trying to change the faces on mine, but how tf do you get the needle out without the stem getting pulled too? The needle would not fucken budge at all. Feels like Honda glued em on during assembly or something...
The fuel one is hard but you can move the sender float to 0% and 100% and check the needle position. The temp gauge doesn't matter as much as long as you know where normal range is. Most cars it sits in the middle anyways. Get the car up to temp and set it in the middle.
just picked up a new/used cluster and put it in now the fuel gauge goes to full, is there a way im supposed to reset it? not sure what to do i dont wanna have to pay to have it fixed if i can figure it out.. plz help
@@JarrodWillemse the reason we replaced the cluster is because the speedometer wasn't working so we got the new one from the salvage yard and just use that cluster but that fuel gauge was going past full so we put our original fuel gauge in the new cluster and it slowly goes all the way back up to full, everything is the right year and everything cuz it's a 93 Civic EX ours is the 95 so it's compatible it's identical
This one I’m not sure. I just made sure I put it back on the exact spot it took it off. You could try take the hanger out the tank and push the float to 100% and 0% to make sure they lined up.
Today is my lucky day, I have a civic just like your!
Sick thanks for watching!

Cheers bro I’m glad you were able to fix it too!
Bro i was troubleshooting mine for 30 mins at least . Worked like a charm ! Thank you! Mine was the speedometer 😅
All good fam!
@@JarrodWillemse this video deserves more views no doubt !
I have the same problem with the speedometer, i did this but now it’s saying that im going way faster than i actually am
Thanks man, this video really helped me.
No worries that why I made it!
Thanks. Fixing mines tomorrow
Cheers!
My prelude is getting rebuild rn ill get it back soon and if this is how i fix my gauges ill be so fkin happy 👌🏻👌🏻😁
Good luck hopefully everything goes well!
Yep it´s fit ya. Thx mate.
No worries!

Its universal most older style clusters work the same. It possible that the actual motor is broken.

@@BrunoMarquez-t2q yes make sure you push it far enough back on. It is possible to break the gauge removing the needles.
Thanks for sharing the info - how do you get around the dial going from 0-180? wouldnt that be off now?
They have a listing for both 180 and 220km/he cluster.
Cheers mate
No worries brother

At operating temp before my gauge was in the middle so I just put it back to the same spot once the car had got to temp.
Doesn’t matter if it’s slightly out as long as you know where it should sit normally. If it goes above that spot then you know you have a problem.
How to calibrate speedometer needle, the only way i find to drive fast till i hear warning sound at 122km then i set the needle. Is there any safer way
You can use a gps speed app on your phone to compare.
Will it work same on a vauxhall insignia
We don’t have that car in Australia so I’m not sure.
Does this work for all the needles on the cluster?
Yes they function the same but for the fuel you need to set where you think the fuel level is
Good day Jarrod , when you push the needle back on, do you push them all the in? Because when i put mine back on, it feel stiff
You need a small amount of force but not too much.
@@JarrodWillemse ok thanks, i will try again, because currently im sure my fuel reading is out, revs not moving and speed is out aswell

Yeh the first time you take them off there is a bit of glue. Make sure you grab it right at the base and not the edge as the plastic might chip.

How about the needle for the fuel gauge?
I suggest fill the tank 100% then set the needle to full mark. Or mark the position before and put back on the same spot.
How does this method apply for the heat guage and feul. I don't think im getting the most accurate reading.

Was your old cluster working on the fuel gauge before? Is it the same model cluster you had before? Some fuel senders have different voltage outputs.

Use gps speed on your phone
And petrol niddle ??

Wrong accuracy mate I know how to accurate exact position in needle. Also the gas and temp
Can you explain what I did wrong? Thanks
@@gaugeclustercustomcrazywor8691 can you explain me how can I do that, please? I really appreciate it. Thanks
