We know the game and we're gonna play it
I just want to tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand
Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
@@RandomPerson-ez2zu did i just get rickrolled by a comment
My brother just bought a 1990 chrysler imperial and the mileage doesn't go up this video surely helped me out. Thankyou Chrisfix
Now you can't tell me that not every used car lot in America doesn't have this video in their favorites and their watch later playlist. 😂
Mechanics are losing money because of you
They are going bankrupt
Imagine this
It’s 2020
Chrisfix is super popular
Everyone can repair their own car themself
Nobody knows what a mechanic is anymore
Chrisfix, you are really a mechanic lvl 100
Sad thing is, modern cars are almost to hard to fix yourself.
a lot of people take it to the mechanic because they don't feel like learning
2020 sounds like a wonderful year what’s the worst that can happen
Did this to my '94 Mustang. Remember how that worm gear goes on the motor, learned that the hard way lmao.
Best Mechanic On UA-cam💯
"ask me how I know"
hey Chris! how do you know that? OMG, that's amazing!!
chris say in comment above you : from experience
7:11 How do you know? I'm curious.
From experience :p
I totally thought of Ferris beulers day off.
lol
Same!
I didn’t realize that was so easy to fix, this is one o the most awesome channels ever
@ChrisFix I suggest you lubricate the plastic gears with some plastic lubrication. Or just use some Vaseline. This will increase the lifespan even more.
Be warned don't just use any oil or WD40 this will damage the plastic!
+Marfnl disse thanks for the tip! Silicone works best but def don’t use Vaseline because it is petroleum based and will disintegrate the plastic which is why the gears went bad in the first place.
Some plastics like nylon are self-lubricating.
Thanks Chris! I have been trying to figure out why the odometer on my 4 wheeler wasn't working for the past couple months until now! I found some gears and tore apart the dash and got it working great! Keep up the good work!👍 Excited to see more videos on the mustang! #Driftstang #ProjectCrowdComtrol
Let me tell you something I’ve used many of your videos you’re the best in these demonstration help or DIY videos thank you great step by step
The Clicks Are So Satisfying
Hey @ChrisFix i have a video request could you please make a video on how to install a sub woofer in the trunk because all other installation videos are either very short and confusing or extremely long. So if you could please make a video on all that I would be grateful. im sure i cant be the only one who would want this.
A professional job, thank you for sharing your knowledge
Best regards. Rico.
This is very well done vid. EXACTLY what I needed for my 1995 Stang. Got quote for $500 then a refurb for $211 then a gear kit for $14!
Chris Fix: "Brand spanking new." 👌😁
+The Lopez Way haha yes
+ChrisFix try double clutching.. Makes for better shifts, easier on clutch plate and keeps momentum up to helps with racing.
+ChrisFix So since all your mustang videos are pre recorded, is the drift stang actually a drift car as I type this?
+EliteOps101 Farming granny shiftin, not double clutchin....
Is there a "before" picture of the dashboard lights for comparison?
just look up 94-98 mustang LED speedometer conversion on google
U re freaking genio master....greating from Guatemala 🇬🇹🇬🇹🇬🇹🇬🇹🇬🇹🇬🇹👊👊👊👊
I did it!!!! Fixing up a 98 mustang for my daughter!!!! Thanks for the great video,,!!!!
Bet you some money they fucked up the gears trying to roll back the odometer.
Who thought of Ferris beulers day off when he mentioned taking off miles in reverse
Yeah lol
Yeah
SAME
yes
I did 😂
some LED actually work as diodes , that why polarity matters
+Fabian Perez thanks for the info
LED stands for light emitting diode!
LED's are diodes. :-)
Light emitting dildo

Should not damage them, unless you connect them to a power supply higher than 14.5VDC.
Nobody makes better, easy to follow videos than you Chris ! Thanks !
chrisfix really your videos make worth this UA-cam.
appreciate your hard work + share yours skills you born 4 this
How did you learn this? Amazing!!!
sadly you're the only person fixing this stuff
Actually, no. A lot of people have or had this problem like myself. Didn't really know how to fix it till now.
I’m 3 and I already know how to do this shit ! Get it together 8year old !
I have the same problem like the one in the video so I'm going to fix it tomorrow
I friggin did it today! I only cursed trying to get those cables out of the back. You're either a wizard or you edit out all the times it doesn't go smooth 😂 the satisfaction I felt watching the trip meter spin though 👏👏👏
THANKS FOR LEAVING US HANGING ON THE LED!!! :((
i wanted to see them at night
+Wyatt Braun He showed us at the way end
Same. I wanted to see the LEDS in the night time.
imgur.com/4CIYCIU imgur.com/hLvHaPP Here's my v6 if you want an Idea.
+Eden Resausk seems bright, thanks!
It would be nice if that piece under the car had like a chip in it that would keep record of the actual miles.
yeah an then you can scan it using the obd 2 port
@@deadbushpotato2331 not every car has one , I believe 1995 and newer do , I'm sure 2000 and newer do , since I found it in my dad's car , long story short , he was kinda impressed
@@maskedredstonerproz yep older cars don't have the port
@@deadbushpotato2331 I know , cuzz chrisfix said it , and I couldn't find it on my dad's old vw golf 2 , that he sold a few years ago because it had too many problems and wasn't worth fixing
I'm 8 years old so when I'm older then I know how to do this stuff and be smart :)
Saba Amjad thats what i did and now I'm about to get my permit

Taehun Lee sweet
Man i don't why i'm addicted to these videos LIKE I REALLY LOVE THEM
Another fix is to make sure your Number 8 fuse inside the car, under the driver side dash, is working if your speedometer and odometer aren't working.
Thanks for sharing!
@@chrisfix wait you still reply to videos that are 3 years old! What a respectful guy
5:30 MADE IN MALAYSIA , Im a proud citizen , motor made in malaysia thats in a drift car/race
How do you know everything?
School. Expensive school
Maybe he learned lots about cars. I know a lot of things from cars my dad learned me
@@MaynardFreek umm no, he graduated university as a marine biologist.
Google? Other UA-cam channels?
Thank you Chris. My mother purchased a 95 Cougar 59k from a dealership two years ago. The car (looked) the mileage. speedometer works great. Best I could find was $240.00 for repair. Not interested in using the car for resale with the mileage. I just want the odometer and trip o meter in Working order.
Sad addition, when I took the instrument cluster apart, without knowledge on how to fix it, the check engine bulb had been removed and the ABS bulb burnt out.
I've never, ever sold a car without telling it's known secrets.
9:20 - It's dual wield time!!!
7:14 i know that feeling... everything is done and then... life hates you😂
+MyCombatforce haha yep
Cant tell if edditing or dual weilding drills...
You can see the split down the middle
Struck gold finding this guys channel!
You forgot to check the led lights
My truck has the cable
Good
chrisfix. I have one question: are you ASE certified?
Who cares? The only place that matters is in stealerships. I know a few ASE guys who know less than some shadetree mechanics.
Glad to see first class content. Keep raising the bar !
so how do them led lights look like? :DD
Watch the end of the video!
Sneaky way to get your check engine light to go off, remove the bulb 😎
Lmfao
Lucky most cars have an OBDII port. An bluethooth scanner cost around 12 Euro's 😂
5:30 a motor made in malaysia. im a proud citizen

Eh ada jugak orang Malaysia tengok video mat saleh. Saya scroll bawah ni pun sebab nak tengok ada tak Malaysia komen.
Hahahaha
Serius aah aku baru perasan hahahah
Yeah, that made me smile. (We will assume those gears came from somewhere else.) :)
My odometer hasnt been working for more than 10 years already, good thing I hardly drive my mustang now that I have another car. But after watching this video , it makes me want to fix it myself..You make it look easy, I hope it is!.
Chris, how I wish you released this video just a week before. I made the mistake and used a napkin to whip mine and it left several scratches :(. Any advice on what to use to clean it? Learning the hard way I threw out all the napkins and stocked up on lots of microfiber towels. Thx in advance.
Sorry, by cleaning I mean to remove the scratches.
+Papa Gleb hm, well you can try fine swirl remover but I feel like that might make it worse.
+Papa Gleb I understood haha
+ChrisFix thx for the reply but if your not sure then I'll leave it as cause it's a 2017 so I rather not take a chance to make it worse. Thx again. Love the vids and this project so looking forward to more.
I see you getting the hand of stick shift. It's my fav type of transmission as there is much more fun that can be had with it.
+Papa Gleb You might try a headlight restore polish compound, they are made for plastic and make headlights look new. Maybe test it on a junkyard cluster first.
