12:59 Definitely, historians who study ancient times often have to deal with lost works or second-hand references as premier material. My favorite analogy is by Trey the Explainer, when he talked about lost books: Imagine historians thousands years later try to figure out the plot of the movie Joker, but the only source they have is the meme review “This happened to my buddy Eric”. Their predictions will probably be off by a long shot.

Back in the 90s, I encountered a kind of joke archeology book (the name of which I do not recall) in which archeologists of the future dug up sites from the late 20th century, and drew conclusions from them that were comically, but understandably wrong. The part I remember was them stating that the TV set was a divine religious relic, because everything in the main living room was oriented toward it.
