i think that most people will misinterpret the message. The “broke friends” are the ones who lack saving money and have little desire to grow or save for the future. For the people who are pursuing education and do not have the money yet, that is completely different as you desire to make more money. You are not broke friend but a growth one.

I really love your show young man but I hope people don't forget to look at the fact that they were once broke and needed a friend not based on bag (money) only. I hope we as humans remember to be humble and not forget our humble beginnings. sometimes it seems when people of color make money they become so prideful they start cutting off people that don't have what they have achieved, forgetting they needed someone to show them the ropes of making, saving and investing money when they were BROKE. I am not talking about you, Anthony. Just sharing something I have been seeing on UA-cam a lot lately. Everyone wants to sit at the rich table but no one talks about cutting off rich, rude, unethical and prideful people like they talk about cutting the broke and maybe unmotivated people. Again, love your messages just food for thought. There should be limitations to how far we should let people get involved in our lives whether rich or broke based on things like integrity, love and respect. Just saying!

This is such a necessary conversation. We need to be talking about having savings, what savings accounts are for, which ones yield the best interest rates. Having early conversations about investing just so everyone is more familiar. It's not about making anyone feel uncomfortable or excluded. It's so we have familiarity and curiosity. That way more friends and family might be open to learning more and starting their own savings and investment accounts. Too many people are intimidated and put off by these conversations. It should be like talking about the new cute neighborhood restaurant. - An option that you might like.

Facts on the average car payment. But if by the time i pay off the car it needs a new transmission i'mma have to get another car. 6 figure earner with a car that will be paid off in 2 months. People who travel for work need functioning cars. That whole lemon car thing Dave Ramsey likes to push works for people who don't go anywhere. Period. I can be upset about my car payment but I'm not upset about my amazing occupation and how it helps people. I met a nurse who told me she spent her entire life saving and not doing anything just to fall down and break her hip at 57 years old and never walk again. She warned me then "You enjoy your life and don't live in fear of the unknown future." best advice ever. I don't regret debt and enjoying life.

    • @emby20591
      @emby20591 10 місяців тому

Well said 👏🏾. Also, having a bad car is impractical and can cost you more in the long run. An unreliable car that is paid off can cause me to miss out on work and school, and thus leave me with little income (bcs I’m not making any and using most on the car). And soon I’ll have to replace it anyway! I’d rather make modest monthly payments (less than 30% of income) on a reliable car and work towards getting higher income via school rather than deal with that headache. If you’re spending responsibly in other areas, a car payment isn’t that bad. We shouldn’t be so zealous about being debt free that we forget to enjoy life itself when there’s room to.

Being an avid reader, I came across a report by Northwestern Mutual on the same topic and found that if I choose to put a lump sum into solid investments, I am more likely to have a higher balance over time. I really love your show and program. I understand you 100% about the car payment. I also believe it can be an investment if you turn that liability into an asset and pay off faster(uber).changing your car to H ofc(if you wanna get insurance for accidents). That way the car pays for itself and you earn as well. It's all about being wise with your spending as well.

As u elevate ur mind and surroundings this naturally happens… u can’t keep talking to the friend who situation never changes because simply u don’t have time. Things that don’t energize u toward the next goal simply won’t do. U are out traveling so u meet ppl that have travel money u out here networking so u meet ppl with influence and over time ur schedule gets packed with ppl that make plans not just talk about them… sorry not sorry

I totally agree but let’s stop calling it an emergency fund but call it something else. Typically when you save for an emergency an emergency happens. Spending money on a date is standard but spend within your budget a partner is an investment and trying to avoid courting them the right way could be an epic fail, otherwise you might settle for someone you typically wouldn’t build with

Anthony y I do not like that comment about supporting parent. Bro our parents were barely able to buy food and put clothes on our backs.
There never had the opportunities like we have today to build wealth. My parents are dead but it would be an HONOUR for me to meat their needs if they were alive, especially my mom. Remember what Jesus taught about the pharisees teaching people to dishonor their parents by saying that the money in their pocket was a gift for the temple? He stressed the commandment says to honor your father and mother. God will give you sufficient for your kids

It feels so great to not have any Consumer Debt.
I'm giving a "Thumbs Up" to everyone in the comments who have paid off their Cars.
    👍
Thanks Anthony for Another great Video!

If you're into financial responsibility and your significant other is not and is the opposite it wont work. Either you're going to follow that lerson and follow them or the other way around.
In this lifestyle you'll have to be a bit selfish when you're building your wealth as it pertains securing your financial future.
As it pertians to car notes i couldn't tell you how many people say in crazy when it comes to me wanting to buy it straight out

This is all fine and good but sharing how you feel and think is not outlining a practical pathway. Dramatically describing the problem to overshadow the lack of a solution is theft.

You have to save your self first before extending a hand of help to them.
Also when they are not willing to pass through the curve of wealth creation, you have no option than to cut off.
