Alot of them don't get it...
This is so true. People say they can’t afford to learn high-income skills, but what it really is is that they don’t feel like doing the work to change their lives. They may not necessarily have the money, but they find a way to buy an unnecessary item or they found a way (through loans) to go to college to learn a low-income skill when they didn’t have the money. It’s all about mindset.

I had been on the two sides of the fence when it comes to depending on Uncle Sam's provisions. Thank God my family and I are dependent free now. Working towards financial freedom.
WEALTH BEGINS WITH MINDSET…
The part where you talked about the expenses of having a house vs an apartment hit home for me. My mom keeps pushing me to get a home and I don’t want to be house poor and struggling. She’s like “there’s home insurance, so you don’t have to worry about things breaking ,” 😅I don’t mind waiting a bit longer for a home.
Purchase a home warranty and renew it annually.
Don't purchase anything until YOU are ready!!! PERIOD!!!!!

The middle-clsss socio-economic strata is such a wide spectrum income range. Conventional wisdom would lead one to think that the higher up on that spectrum a person occupies, the better off they are doing. However, no matter how high on that range one may be, if their debt takes away a substantial amount of that income, living paycheck to paycheck will be their reality.
Conversely, if a person is not on the higher end of that spectrum, but they have no consumer debt at all, their modest income goes further than those individuals who make much more money, but are "owned" by debt. The middle class can be fine to be in if a person's paycheck is not "held hostage" by creditors and the like.
Making more money rather than less is a good thing if consumer debt and/or lifestyle creep is not attached to it.

I was so bad with money and investing but now I’m taking in all the information about money wisdom and applying it. I am still paying off some debts and getting ahead in some areas not yet there but by Gods grace perseverance and discipline I will get there.

I love this and love you King AO. The content has been so helpful. I would truly appreciate if you would discuss compound interest strategies. I have been trying to get this info and no one is talking about it or giving a valid place to put the money to grow. My bank says monthly compound interest but the student loan for example is daily. No on can get ahead like that especially when you incorporate inflation. Thanking you and your team in advance. Stay on point AO because you are making a difference! My family told me that we’re always going to be in debt. And i just don’t believe that. Its a total rewiring of my brain but its going to be worth it when i set my kids up differently
Your family is WRONG! I will NOT be in debt!
I can sadly understand how my emotions drove my mood when i was younger. My mouth got me into more trouble than i can count.
I don't operate on disrespect. People cant seem to speak to one another politely or with corrective criticism.
It was a lesson hard learned because it caused me to lose jobs, become homeless for a minute, and gone hungry.
But now i won't do anything that would sacrifice my security and income. This means I keep my mouth shut when inwant to argue and I don't have an interest in dating coworkers or supervisors. It's to a point that i dont even hang out with people after work anymore. I got badly burned by previous coworkers.
There's a motto i have for myself that i taught my nephews and interns at work. Its goes, "Don't get your honey, where you make your money." Especially for males to understsnd to not mix pleasure and business at work. More so now that males are ruthlessly crucified by females. Their lives can easily be ruined.

This is the sad reality. I have to distance myself with some friends and families because I can't take the negative mindset. I feel sad sometimes because I miss them but I owe it to myself to surround myself with people with possible mindset.

Thanks for this information...i admit I've been settling with being in my comfort zone and not rising to the occasion of my successful future. This is confirmation for me... my family of 8 will follow the path to wealth. The uncomfortable pressure right now will produce the oil for my kids' kids' kids' kids' kids.

The problem with moving to less expensive locations, is the jobs available in those areas pay considerably less ! So, you need a greater income to live in the larger populations, and have a higher paying workforce there too.
To your point about not reacting to the individual who is saying negative things about you shows maturity. I'm sure that person doesn't have that much of an impact to your life that what they're saying even matters. Keep doing what you're doing and Stay encouraged.

We become what we digest in our hearts, our minds, and our souls. The old adage, "change your mind, change your life" is definitely applicable to this episode. We MUST stop settling for the struggle and become financially literate. This will allow us to leave an inheritance for our children's children. It's time to build legacy because our life's decisions impact our families/future families. Let's goooo!!!

I absolutely agree about buying a home. I listened to financial people on UA-cam and bought a home that we can afford on one person's paycheck. What I didn't realize was Capitols Heights was the hood. We had gun shots coming through our home. I wish I had waited to buy a home until I was financially ready and could afford a Bowie or Montgomery County. We had to move and leave our home. I know God used in that neighborhood. However, man I was sad that I didn't strive for a better neighborhood. I was sad that I fed into buying a house was better than renting. However God make no mistakes.

When I talk about changing my mindset I get met with so much debate. People really try to convince me that fixed and variable expenses are the same as debt. “You’re always gonna have someone to pay anyway”.

A poverty mindset is a scarce mindset, and in this mindset the person is trapped in his or her delusions. 😢 many people believe that it's okay to stay on the ground level and can't think or go to any higher levels. We all have invisible wings that can push us to higher altitudes. It's just a matter of when and how we're gonna outspraying our wings and just sore. AO thanks again!
