i bought one of these brand new. i lived in ohio at the time. i went into the army in 1977. was stationed at schofield barracks in hawaii. i had the bike crated and shipped to hawaii. great bike and i loved riding it in hawaii. The good old days.
I bought a 1975 in HS and went in the Air Force in 76. Also had it crated up after I went in and had it shipped to Charleston SC. Rode the hell out of that bike for 6 years. Got my money's worth out of it!
Amazing to listen to it....... I was seventeen when I passed my test and had saved up a deposit to buy one from fletchers Leeds. I had the time of my life, and nearly lost it a few times but that's growing up and learning what not to do. I loved the sound and I will look back at those happy days with great fondness.
Yes I bought one from A friends brother in ‘76. $400 looked just like this, same condition. Not so good 4 years later as I rode the hell out of it. College days.
I had one in college in 1984, nothing at all like this condition. I remember the dealer had one set of 3 points and condensors left and sold them to me for a ridiculously high price. I sold it just after graduation because my parents didn't know I bought it and I was going to be living at home for about 2 months and transition. It took me 25 years to get my second bike and now 12 years later I am on bike 3 and 5.
hi would you have a rough idea what a 1976 GT380 in good going condition is worth as a man i know has one and his selling it are they collectable Thank you
@@robertmenghini.Lambomad well I looked to see what they look like off the bike and they split one into two. Not specialist, factory made. Still.cool though
They split the middle cylinder pipes in half . This way it was balanced out in the rear . I sat the under 400 cc class at Thompson drag race way in the 1/4 miles 13.4 and 116 mph ....
Recalling the legendary Bike, Between classic and modern, really like the sound of the exhaust.
Thanks for watching my video, they're awesome bikes
