- This is my BENELLI 750 SEI, part of my private collection belonging to lowbourne classic vehicles. This is my favourite bike in the world and it’s just absolutely awesome. We have owned quite a few of these machines and all have been concourse condition, they are just simply glorious and a joy to listen to and to ride

I was 18 (1976) when I saw my first ever 750 SEI in the metal, bought by a family acquaintance. To this day it is still visually one of the most spectacular bikes I`ve ever seen. Congratulations sir. I`m glad to know that you ride it and don`t just hide it away in a garage somewhere.
Thanks for your kind comments
I saw Benellis, Laverdas and Moto Guzzis in 1977 while on holiday in Italy and we just stood in awe and drooled over these Italian masterpieces of motorbikes and their sound! They were very rare in Sweden, that´s for sure...
They are great bikes
@@robertmenghini.Lambomad I couldn´t agree more!
Yoooo!!! Laverda damn bro thanks for making me remember
Gorgeous. And probably the bike that hooked me on bikes forever. I'm 57 now and own a track focused Ducati V4S. But I remember sitting in the school library aged about 12 staring at a picture of this bike. Totally mesmerised by that broad bank of 6 cylinders. Still stunning to this day. Enjoy!
They are awesome bikes and thanks for watching
That machine is a beast, wow what a mechanical orchestra play out of those pipes!
Thanks for your kind comments
That Bike is awesome. I am a 74 year old ex biker, I still love Bikes. My Daughters have forbidden me from riding again. I always wanted a SEI, but could never afford one.
Beautiful Bike lovingly restored . I am so jealous.
Man, I'm also 74. Neither of us are going to be around for a long time. Scrape up the bucks and get a Sei! You will wish you had done so, when the last days come.
My best friend from highschool opened a bike shop in Corpus Christi Tx about 71 or 72, and sold Benellis. He heavily modified a Sei and drag raced it. It was a screamer.
In 2019 we were at the IOM Manx GP for the week. There was a Benelli SEI that would show up at the various viewing areas/pubs along the race course during the week. We ran into him 6-7 times during the week. It was red, cafe-style with low bars/partial fairing. Every time it showed up at any location, folks quit watching the race and watched the SEI. He always had a crowd around whenever he was leaving just to hear it start. Absolutely stunning bike.
Thanks for your kind comments
Gorgeous! Thank you sir for preserving and sharing a very big and fine piece of motorcycle history. And the exhaust is to die for!
Thanks for your kind comments 🙂
That is, until you hear a CBX. At redline, it sounds like a
Formula 1.
The one problem I had with my Sei was that my gas stops sometimes took over a half hour. Not because of the large gas tank, but because of the spectators needing to know all about the bike. I put a Rabid Transit fairing on it and rode it all over western North America. Fun bike.
Glad you have used and enjoyed your bike
Non ha avuto un gran successo, anzi.....
Guy, I have just seen two of them at a gas station on the highway, yesterday , near Le Mans, France. We were a dozen of jealous guys, just waiting to hear the two (70 years old at least) bikers start their engines and enjoy the sound of the 12 pipes.
Don't know were the guys were from (not french, maybe germans). The bikes were not in a brand new conditions, but obviously were daily used.
@@skozskoz9752 They were made in the 70's, not 70 years old!!! Guess I'd get a bit mixed up seeing double kinda thing too!!
@@skozskoz9752 ... sounds like the bike's still had their original exhaust systems. That's pretty surprising! Mine only lasted about 18 months!!
I was 14 in 1976, and I remember the Daily Mirror running a series of promotional "Win a Superbike" competitions . When I saw the one for the Benelli Sei, I immediately fell in love, and entered the comp with all fingers crossed. This gorgeous creation still evokes the same feelings 45 years later - thanks for reminding me.
Thanks so much for your kind comments, I know what you mean too! I was 16 in 1976 and bought my brand new FS1E to go to college. Happy memories eh!
I was 9 years old and living in Rome Italy !!! Alfa's Lancia's Vespa's and Benelli's Ducati's Moto Guzzi's Ice creams GOOD coffee all over the place. A great place to be at the time.
@@team3383 Got to ask IS there anything such as good coffee i always find no matter how much it costs or who made it always the same dire gut rot in moments
@@petenikolic5244 Travel ti Italy. Go to Rome train station. Ask for an espresso. End of.
@@robertmenghini.Lambomad Heh. Me too. I went for the AP50 because it had an extra gear. I'd have learned to drive after that, but someone gave me a go on their TS250 and it blew my mind. I ended up with a coffin tank RD250 with the first alloy wheels (as heavy cast iron). Most reliable bike I ever owned, and I wrote off two cars with it. Two mm off the exhaust port etc and it had a sharp power band.
I loved the look of the Benelli, and the Hailwood replica Ducati, but the reputation was that they were hard to live with, only good for sunny days, and good luck with the electrics! The first bike that showed me what good handling was, though, was the Moto Guzzi Le Mans (torque reaction aside).
Great restoration, btw.
I couldn't afford it in 76' , but settled for a Yamaha RD400 so . . . Also with a crackling exhaust note bristling with fetchers advanced for that day . Stunning Benelli , Thanks . . .
I had a 1977 model, it's a work of art, that one is in a better condition than mine was.
A Honda motorcycle dealer has it now in his collection.
You should have kept it!
As a little kid in a far away island in 1975, having few popular mechanics magazine to look at over and over again....I knew what this was as soon as I saw the image. That magazine had a review of road bikes. What stood away was the Suzuki Wankel and this 6 exhaust pipe Benelli. Now so many decades later just to hear what it sounds in real life versus my imagination then...is so interesting. Same with the Suzuki Wankel engine sound that I was able to hear recently on youtube. Some times without TV,. Without the real thing in front of us, just reading the writers description, we could imagine the engine sound pretty accurately. Life was different. Thanks for sharing. Made me go back in time to my childhood.👍
Thanks for your kind comments
She's a work of art! Greetings from the States! 2001 H-D 1200 here🇺🇸
WOW!!!; I have to agree; that is indeed the best sounding bike I have ever heard.
Thanks for your kind comments
My all time favorite 6 cylinder bike ! “ It’s bloody beautiful “ !!!
Thanks so much for your kind comments 😊
it's amazing to see one in such pristine condition especially since didn't think there were any of these benelli's left, good job....
Thanks for your kind comments
Outstanding job of restoration
Love the sound of this & the 750-4 Honda.
looks like a 6 cylinder to me no ?
@@billhamilton7524 yes it’s a 6 but the straight pipe Honda 750-4 sounded like a monster as well
@@Rokonroller Gottchya ,,my bad I misunderstood you ,
This beast sounds like a tank. Roaring beauty.
Thanks so much for your reply
Too much passion goes in to Italian engineering!!! Its a good thing!!!
I agree
Somewhere in 1982 I saw this bike at a dealer. I was with my father who was going to check out a bike for commuting, a BMW R75/6. Both were among other-then already- older bikes away from the showroom in some sort of room. Don't know if it was the 750 or 900. But it definitely was a sei in red, with 6 exhaust pipes in black. It was just standing there, about 3 to 4 meters at the right of the BMW. I said to my father, take this bike! It's gorgeous!! I was 7 years old.
Thanks for watching my video, your Father should have bought the Benelli!
When, I was much younger, my friend had one of these. We all thought it strange with our British and Japanese bikes but, it was colourful to see something that was out of the norm.
Wow, you weren't kidding! Pure artistry, has the deep low thumps of a Harley, but w/a swaggered baritone of a Ferrari. Both frightening & intriguing at the same time.. lol (the finest exhaust notes i've ever heard) 3:21
I agree, awesome sound!
THAT THING SOUNDS GREAT! VERY UNIQUE SOUNDING AND AWESOME! Thanks so very much for sharing that with us!
You’re welcome I agree is just awesome
The original 6 pot machine, gorgeous. A bike to be cherished.

That is drop dead gorgeous! What a machine. Sounds fantastic! What a lucky boy you are.
Thanks for the kind comments
That is the most beautiful motorcycle I have ever seen OR heard!!
Thanks
I have seen this bike once in my life, around 1976 parked in Sitges, Spain.
It made an impression on me as I still remember it clearly.
It was parked among 2-stroke single cilinder Montessa's, Bultaco's and Ossa's, streetlegal trail bikes upto 350cc which were the (affordable) cool bikes for the local youth at that time. Nowadays you don't see them anymore and it is a lot quieter.
I remember those incredible bikes, not very expensive and thinking how about taking them from Spain to Portugal and other legal paperwork and logistics 100x more difficult then.
@@franciscorompana2985 I drooled over them as a 14 year old Dutch boy (my parents had just moved to Spain) and I remember them for sale in El Corte Inglés Barcelona. We had nothing like those bikes in Holland, just standard mopeds and normal motorbikes.
@@flyingdd yes. They where at the big warehouses (El Corte Inglés) together with clothes, furniture and food. 😀
Beautiful bike, absolutely stunning.
So amazing! Best looking Benelli I've seen and heard. Wow.
Thanks
Lovely bit of kit I could spend a couple of hours just looking around that easily 👏
It is awesome!
Fabulous bike. 1 of the best bikes in the world. Icon.

Wunderschönes Bike🤩Allzeit gute Fahrt und viel Spaß mit der SEI 👍
My neighbour got this bike, his uncle sent it to him from USA, its going to be around 30 years ago. I remember anytime he pushed the bike from garage group of people from street flocked!

Beautiful! Looks/Sound :)
I remember these, you have done an exceptional job!
Thanks
The Sound is made in heaven
I was roped into playing darts for the Lochcarron Hotel in the early 80s.
The venue was miles away at the Kintail Lodge Hotel, and there was a 750 Sei sitting right on the bar!
It got polished every time a glass was.
The journey home was a tad hairy though.
How incredible! Thank you for sharing!!!
Thanks
Shame really that many won't ever get to experience these glorious machines.
Fantastic restoration work!
Thanks
Sounds magnificent!!
I confess that I never knew nothing like this beaut, impressive!!!.
Cheers
Sounds like a perfect orchestra

Nothing short of stunning mate. I remember seeing one brand new in a bike shop on westgate hill in Newcastle. It was £6,995. A long time ago. Some guy bought it (as investment) snd left it on display in t
About 1980/81 Benelli were closing down their sales in the UK. I forget the details. The last few 750-6"s were sold brand-new for £1800 each.
Beautiful........everything !

Wow.... STUNNING bike!!! I wish that was for sale again by the manufacture almost exactly like that! AMAZING bike man!!!!! Thanks for the video!
Glad you liked it, and it would be brilliant if manufacturers made bikes like this again instead of soulless electric stupid bikes!
I remember seeing a 900 at Olivers Mount Scarborough years ago what a gorgeous sound. That's a mint example.
Thanks
Sounds like a funny car.I wish they still made them like this.
