Love your videos!!! One suggestion, if I may, you should put the water supplies on before dropping the faucet in place. Makes life way easier, especially with those cheap faucets.
Good job fixing up that five car pileup of a disaster in the kitchen. But what was with the lady randomly burning her household trash on her outdoor patio? That's some stuff you see in Afghanistan or Iraq! Great Work
Givers gain.. it's better to give than to receive and I believe that... Anybody who has anything must give back.... Great message again here Steve... Trust me I have done my Fair share of rental properties and I will do the same for those.. myself. Robert jr NJ here Asbury Park
That's really unfortunate about the 10 min flood - yikes! Quit drinking in the morning and call the plumber first thing, lesson learned here. Love the dog in the beginning and end too!
Nice job steve. I like to pack the escutcheon on the sprayer with putty. Makes it harder to tighten but keeps the splashing dish washer guy from calling me back.
Hi Steve, I just want to give you a friendly tip ok? When you installing a new faucet, take off the aerator before even running water, that way if there is some dabries in the pipe it will flush out. After then put the aerator back on and it will not be clogged from start.
Nice work Steve , never heard of project source before but it's what they bought . I never can understand when people turn off the angle stops just a simple test by opening the faucet to see if they hold will prevent a flood lol.
That's a Lowes store brand pile of plastic for $37.00 that is labeled a faucet. There are disposable white plastic sheets that can come in handy for nasty cabinets like that. The commercial housekeeping crews use them in office building for piling up the trash bags to protect the carpeted floor until they haul them all down the service elevator to the trash dumpsters/compactor.
It ain't gonna be cheap today! Lol. You get what you pay for. Good service costs money. After being flooded myself from hurricane Sandy I can attest to the fact that ANYTHING is cheaper than a flood! You fixed her up good Steve. I don't think her son will be her 1st choice as a plumber anymore!
nice work cleaning up that disaster. what is your preferred brand faucet Steve and did thy put the rubber gasket between sink and the strainer and not under the sink at the strainer nut?
Fine job Steven!! Seeing we had a rainy day today, I looked back at your kale soup video and cooked up a pot for myself. I don't understand it. The wife is a "Port" and I asked her how to make kale soup. She says, "I don't know!!" I said,"No problem, I'll just look back at an old Steven Lav video! Next level Momma! LOL!!!
I get not replacing things just to make extra money. But for the time and price why not just replace the whole angle stop? Cut the copper and install new ones. Faster and now it’s all new...
I know how that son felt. Fixing my parent's 'quickie fix' leak: shutoff leaked; supply line shutoff leaked; main shutoff leaked. Had to shut off at the meter and systematically repair each shut off to get back to the original what was supposed to be a quick fix.
+Cooll Asice she has a name already she is a rescue dog 7 years old her owner died at 80 years old dogs name is baby . she is a great little dog i am trainer her to be,,,,,,, a proud master hvac technection lol
Its really is sad/disappointing when some younger ones cant even hold a screwdriver nor do anything decently right... :\ I'm 24 - and I can vouch for my self being pretty darn handy with my hands since I was like 10 // (mostly in electrics, some plumbing, patching/fixing things up (almost everything heh), and even some "precision works" - minuscule things - like; watches, jewellery etc.)... My home hasn't seen a technician of any kind in the last 10 years, all because of the regular maintenance and "TLC" given' to it :) -- well... except only once, when the water meter had to be changed and the plumbers came to do that... In Russia there's an expression for "unhandy-people" and it goes by: "If you cant fix it with your hands - then your hands are growing from up your ass" (roughly translated - albeit, in Russian it doesn't sound as crude as I translated it hehehe - but you get the idea) :)
Lesson learned from the son i presume, when you turn off the valve, double check the faucet to make sure its completely off. Then go to basement shutoff , then main if necessary
+Ryan Losinger ya she was under the sink was nasty black with mold i would burn it also . she was durning all her trash out back with a mask on very weard . plactic and all .
Steve you make me laugh sometimes about you saying " why are you wearing gloves steve" must be a rookie who says that.. this all common sense.if steve did not wear gloves the dog would have been sick by now. Good job Steve .
Customer supplied parts suck then they call you back in a week when it fails thinking you should warranty it I have a friend that told one of his customers you are so cheap that you take your own hamburger to MacDonald’s and expect them to cook it for you
Would be a bear to get the plumbing lines down if they were attached. I tried it once, it doesn't fit. And with that cheap faucet, the lines would probably crack while trying to get it to fit the sink top hole.
hahahahha, that ladys son sounded real smart... He didn't even have the basic common sense such as verifying that the water shut off actually worked BEFORE disconnecting a line, or even having the common sense to STOP unscrewing the connection! water had to have been coming out of that joint before it popped off and flooded the place! No common sense......
Love your videos!!! One suggestion, if I may, you should put the water supplies on before dropping the faucet in place. Makes life way easier, especially with those cheap faucets.
Nice one Steve! Boozing in the morning, wowzers. Funny how people think what we do is easy. They mess it up 90% of the time.
+Lex Vance i see this alot

Hi Steve, I just want to give you a friendly tip ok? When you installing a new faucet, take off the aerator before even running water, that way if there is some dabries in the pipe it will flush out. After then put the aerator back on and it will not be clogged from start.

A trip from another plumber. In this situation you could have put the supply lines ON before putting the faucet on the deck. Patman
Patrick Gamache and buy a set of line wrenches or at least one 5/8” open end wrench.
nice job Steve, looks like you definitely stumbled onto leaker on that job....keep em coming buddy.
Hilarious when you said Saturday afternoon doing a faucet change out for a lady with no money😂😂

+Ryan Losinger ya she was under the sink was nasty black with mold i would burn it also . she was durning all her trash out back with a mask on very weard . plactic and all .
Wow. My friend's mom cuts everything into tiny pieces before recycling it. Different strokes for different folks I guess!
+Ryan Losinger i was afraid she was going to throw me on the fire when she seen the bill
+steven lavimoniere Where I live, a lot of people burn all of their trash to save money.
hey steve, great informative videos.
Steve you make me laugh sometimes about you saying " why are you wearing gloves steve" must be a rookie who says that.. this all common sense.if steve did not wear gloves the dog would have been sick by now. Good job Steve .
What was wrong with the faucet that she had? It is better to repair the old, quality item than to replace it with the China special.
Nice repair. That was a mess
Maybe they got the faucet on a black friday deal for $14.99

IT'S AINT EEZY BEIN' CHEEZY!
ten MINUT! hahaha lol :DD
Why didn’t you just put the lines on first then slide it inside the holes of the sink so you don’t have to kill you’re self doing it under the sink ?
Would be a bear to get the plumbing lines down if they were attached.
I tried it once, it doesn't fit. And with that cheap faucet, the lines would probably crack while trying to get it to fit the sink top hole.
U guys ever see a faucet like this
+Anthony Gruner we try to keep this channel clean because kids watch it .so no waked out video links will be allowed
hahahahha, that ladys son sounded real smart... He didn't even have the basic common sense such as verifying that the water shut off actually worked BEFORE disconnecting a line, or even having the common sense to STOP unscrewing the connection! water had to have been coming out of that joint before it popped off and flooded the place!
