Truly a superb portrait, all your years of gaining artistic knowledge and skill is paying of and is demonstrated in the confidence of your pencil strokes as well as how flawlessly you've captured the essence of your subject
I was just two weeks ago myself in Moscow in the Tretyakov Gallery! It’s been a while since I saw such inspiring masterpieces :) please keep creating your art and your videos - they got me back to drawing and sketching 🙈
Oh wow!!!! Its soo cool! Also had this feeling because the last time I was there before was about 5 years ago hahah)) thank you so much for kind words, Im glad if things I go was useful to you)
hi Ksenya, fantastic, certainly the copy of the Renaissance is fundamental, in particular the anatomical study and human figure... but I think the best comes with sanguine red ocher in the attitude of a sketch that is not too finished and heavy, just as you say... Its important the study of outline , wach draw (Da vinci,Michelangelo, delSarto..) and engraving stamp (Durer, Rembrant, Morandi.....) I enjoy these videos, continue and happy that you study Italian.. Auguri e buon lavoro d'arte 🤗🎨✌️🎨❣️
hey Kseniya, i grew up in Germany and have a russian citizenship. I am concidering Studying Art at the imperial academy once i finish school, and my Russian is Alright for day to day conversation, but nowhere near fluent. I worry that a lot of the technical terms in university are going to be overwhelming for me. Do you have any friends that study with you, who are foreign students? If so, how do they deal with this? Great informative Video by the way
Hey)) thank you))Oh wow thats amazing!!! Nooo, don’t be afraid, knowledge of basic Russian is already amazing, and you will easily and naturally learn the terms since you will be in the environment)) I have many foreign friends and they learned all this easily, but there are also many Chinese students who do not know the language well enough even for simple communication, but they still study well, somehow understand what the teacher says, other students will always help you and explain in English or through a translator what the teacher said) the most difficult thing is studying anatomy, but even here the guys still cope! and Russian lessons for foreigners at the academy are thematic and just focused on artistic and anatomical terminology, so feel free to come, everything will be fine)))
Hello Ksy, can i ask what type of paper you’re using? Is it coton paper ? I might have missed a video but i’m very interested in the paper you’re using at the academy for graphite, pastel and charcoal. Your work is breathtaking.
