Got this mic since december 2020. Makes me sound a professional on Google Meet! If you're using for simple stuff like video calls, talk to your friends while playing warzone or record some content on business instagram, you probably don't need a better microphone.
Been using this mic for around a year now, sound quality is out of this world for $35, and I've been recommending it to anyone whose been thinking about buying a yeti or any other $60+ microphone. I honestly think its on par, if not better than most $100 mics out there
AWESOME review, Tom! Funny thing, I watched the video both on headphones and on my iPhone (11 Pro Max) and the Fifine sounded better on my iPhone! It's probably the highs that a lot of these cheaper mics provide a boost on, allowing us to perceive them as clearer and more mix-ready. But some people blame treble-accented microphones for listener ear fatigue. Being an audio geek, I would most likely not use it for professional VO client work, but it's really impressive. So much so, that I *could* even suggest it to VO beginners who are in need of entry-level equipment, which they will eventually outgrow down the road. As a fellow Mac user, I use LoopBack whenever I need to record multiple sources of audio. I don't know if I can record two USB mics on separate channels in my DAW, but I know for a fact that I can record or route as many devices and applications as I want to a virtual stereo out. It's like a virtual mixer! I also use it for client work. Whenever they are monitoring my performance through Zoom, I route everything into a virtual device that I have created in Loopback and choose it as the input for Zoom. That way I can play back what I recorded for them, share audio from videos or music or anything else you can think of. All apps of my Mac can be sources for Loopback. Super handy! Love your content! Did I say that today? Eh, maybe I did on another platform.
Thank you for this review. I'm a novice and I think the Fifine is fine for me. I usually use a lapel mic for my crafting videos but occasionally I would like to do a voiceover. Right now I need simple and easy. I do not hear much of a difference in sound quality. Thank you!
I've been using this mic for a couple of months. There is also a package that comes with a version with a removable USB cord, mic stand, small boom arm, foam cover, and wind screen. It was approx $85.
Apologies, It's a different model from Fifine but current prices are $61.99 before the 5% coupon www.amazon.com/FIFINE-Microphone-Adjustable-Instruments-Streaming-T669/dp/B07Y1C6GDS/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=FIFINE+Studio+Condenser+USB+Microphone+Computer+PC+Microphone+Kit+with+Adjustable+Scissor+Arm+Stand+Shock+Mount+for+Instruments+Voice+Overs+Recording+Podcasting+UA-cam+Karaoke+Gaming+Streaming-T669&qid=1607031857&s=musical-instruments&sr=1-1
Hello Tom, I have been using this mic for a bit less than 2 years now. I got it for free from a friend so I gave it a try and it turned out to be a great mic for simple every-day tasks. I might think this mic would be ok even for intermediate users. I have some issues with the AC sound coming in the mic, so I have to turn the AC off before using the mic. Thank you for your content, thumbs up and way to go!
Ahh yes, the dreaded A/C interference. Unfortunately there's not a ton that can be done about it, but depending on the software you use, you might be able to add a noise gate or some kind of voice isolation to help take care of it (although sometimes those things end up sounding worse than the original background noise 😁).
I've had mine for a little bit and done a little recording and have heard nothing but positive comments on the sound quality. I'm happy with the purchase tbh.
This was my first microphone that i ever bought, i think i made a good choice. After the cord broke, the next one I bought was also a fifine, the k669, it was even better, with a replaceable cord too. Fifine is a truly underrated brand for microphones.
I've been using this microphone for about 8 months now and have absolutely no complaints! I actually just put together a video on my channel to utilize Reaper VST Plug-ins and Voicemeeter to get better overall quality and clarity with these cheaper USB mics. Would also highly recommend a boom arm if you're using this to bring it closer to your mouth. Great video overall!
I couldn't tell the difference between the shure and fifine, only going to use this for law school. Great review man, you spent a lot of time talking regularly unlike other reviewers.
Thank you! I'm glad it helped. I think this would be an awesome mic for school use. Plus is small and easy to keep out of the way when you don't need it.
"Only use 1 usb mic at a time" use a software like VoiceMeeter, its free and allows for you to input from 2 devices and output audio to 2 devices at the same time. You can adjust both devices independently of each other as well
speaking from experience, got the cable caught in the scissor arm of my mic stand... was able to splice the cables back together with a decent electrical tape job hahah so, if you're crafty... you don't *need* to throw the whole microphone away
Here in Oct 2021, still a good review and a decent Mic for kids schooling or some livestreaming and not spending hundreds of dollars to have. Found this MIc for 20 bucks at a local discount store.
I really enjoyed this video - I bought this FiFine mic to record half of cell duets so I could play along with them. I thought it did a terrific job for musical recording (cello frequency range)
Hey Tom. You can use the "Audio-Midi" utility in the Mac's Utilities" folder and select both USB inputs combined into one Aggregate Device. You could also use Rogue Amoeba's "Loopback" program to combine hardware (and software) inputs into a single audio device that every single DAW I've tried allows for multi-track recording
@@snakejuce Unless you're trying to have more than one person recording at the same time, there's really no need to do so. In "most" cases, a DAW won't see more than a single source so having multiple USB mics for a multi-person podcast can be an issue unless you try some of the methods mentioned above. Better still to go with XLR and use a USB mixer or USB audio interface
@@Vertshark Your reply is very much appreciated and did not go to waste. Thank you for that. But yeah, seeing as I'm a newb to this I had already purchased the USB mic yesterday. Wish I had seen your comments before. That being said though it will suffice for just streaming/podcast purposes, which is what I wish to use it for. I see people sitting really close to microphones. Is that truly that necessary? What's the max distance that one can still ideally capture voice audio? 2 feet would be pushin' it?
@@Vertshark Scratch that, that was a schupid question (regarding distance) on my behalf. Also just listened to some sound tests. 1 foot distance is fine and one can even go further.
Great video. The Fifine is a superb little mic. I used it for a year or so with more than acceptable results. Though if you work in a noisy environment then it will pick up background sounds such as computer fans etc. It also has a little self noise, though nothing that a touch of noise reduction can't handle. I recently switch to the Samson Q2U as it has a more localised pickup pattern which helps with the environment noise, and virtually no self noise. But if I had a quieter work space I would have been happy sticking with the Fifine.
Hi Scott, thanks for sharing your use experience! That's true. The self-noise level and the noise rejection of a condenser mic is not on par with a dynamic mic. Especially in a noisy environment, a dynamic microphone setup is a better choice if the budget allows.
Just picked one up for $7 at an Amazon resale store. I was surprised how heavy it was, which indicated to me it would punch above it's price level. I have a Sennheiser MK4 large diaphragm mic and audio interface for pro voice recordings but wanted to pick up a USB mic for down and dirty situations with a laptop, but still wanting to sound respectable. I figured this mic might be it. I am surprised that it seemed to have a little more bass to it compared to the Blue Yeti, but then again I am listening to this on a Bose Soundlink II bluetooth speaker, which is known to emphasize the bass frequencies. I will have to listen to this through headphones to get a better idea, but I also see a number of people commenting that they've been using this mic for a couple years and are very pleased. This is good news. Nice review. I like the mics you compared it to (price point).
@@hweart - No link. It is a brick and mortar store that you go to and search through bins and bins of returned merchandise. Everything is $7 on Saturday when it is first put out. By Friday it is 50 cents.
I wish mic reviewers do scream/shout tests, especially on cheap mics such as this FiFine K669. I've used this mic for three months, only then to realize that my mic cuts out when i shout/scream. Immediately upgraded to a Rode Procaster on a Behringer UMC22 interface, and alas, fixed the cutting out problem. I regretted every cent i paid for this NotSoFiFine mic.
@@Scoutingg then all the movie production people in hollywood are strange for recording screaming and shouting... a perfect (non-strange) world for you is if a character in a horror movie would just make a screaming face, but the audio clips out... good on you
You could try VoiceMeeter to mix USB audio, it's a Virtual Audio Mixer. I use it or more recently the audio mixer in OBS Studio to run my live classes on our VLE (Virtual Learning Environment)
Watched your review and a few others and last January I got a Fifine K669B myself. Early on I swapped the stand to one that can got higher and lower than the included stand. It's a lot better than the mic inside my webcam, though since its a condenser mic the noises in my area can get into the recording (and having a reflective room with no sound dampening doesn't help haha). Should have gotten a dynamic mic, but don't regret getting the K669B honestly since its pretty good and can pick up more frequencies than the webcam mic. I tend to use noise canceling for calls and noise removal effect when recording audio. Covered it with a few layers of socks later to prevent dust from getting inside the holes of the cover of the mic capsule and it helped a little bit with the plosives.
hey i personaly bought the fifine mic and there are actually multiple packages for it like you said in the video it would be great with a boom arm, but guess what in my pac it gets you a boom arm detatchable cord and windscreen but it was 60$ intead of 30$ just wanted to let you know

I own a similar model to the one in the video mine was 75 you can change the cord on mine and it came with a mic arm wind screen and a nylon arm thing i stream with it and am current making a video with it I think it sounds fine and even good with some audio engineering I haven’t actually had a bad experience with the mic yet but it’s only been a month I would personally recommend it
The Fifine K669B is the best! Since the cord is only USB, I use a USB Port - USB-C cable so that it can be compatible with my ipad and it works perfectly
I had problems with USB mics because of the latency and also because most of them are condenser and I need dynamic. The options with an external mixer are awesome. When the space currently filled by Rode, Helicon, and Zoom for podcasting mixers becomes more populated and the average prices come down, I'll probably get one of those instead of the generic functioning USB mixers I use.
@@tombuck yeah, I was expecting more of what the gold mic was like, but nope! From your video, I think I’d feel totally comfortable recommending this mic to someone wanting an inexpensive but quality solution. 🙂
I have recommended this one to a faculty member, or maybe the one a little bit more expensive, but def that brand, it sounds really really good for a first mic... or even just a mic in general... and if you practice using it (making sure you don’t get too loud, too far, etc), I could be totally fooled that this is a pro mic. Very freaky, but it is dependent on user getting good at using their own equipment.
Thanks for sharing your use experience and giving the insight on how to use the mic properly. And that's true, that's how you can get the best out of this USB mic!

The fifine has a much fuller sound in my opinion. I’m sold. Thank you for this very informative video and breakdown with sound test
Just bought this mic on Friday it will be here, can’t wait to use it!
I hope you have a ton of fun with it!
Got this mic since december 2020. Makes me sound a professional on Google Meet! If you're using for simple stuff like video calls, talk to your friends while playing warzone or record some content on business instagram, you probably don't need a better microphone.
Yes! It's a great mic.
Been using this mic for around a year now, sound quality is out of this world for $35, and I've been recommending it to anyone whose been thinking about buying a yeti or any other $60+ microphone. I honestly think its on par, if not better than most $100 mics out there
I agree. It's such an easy recommendation for anyone who wants to improve their audio quality.
I have used two FiFine usb mics for voiceover recordings and every time i edit the recordings I’m shocked by how good it sounds for the money.
Thanks as always! This is definitely a great little mic.
Weirdly enough I played back both the tracks from each of my headphones over each other and the fifine actually sounded better than the MV7?!
Hey- that’s kinda cool! It’s a great mic for the price.
Thank you for this review. I'm a novice and I think the Fifine is fine for me. I usually use a lapel mic for my crafting videos but occasionally I would like to do a voiceover. Right now I need simple and easy. I do not hear much of a difference in sound quality. Thank you!
This is definitely simple and easy and it sounds great!
“This sounds more than fafine to me!” 😂😂😂😂
I've been teaching remotely with this mic since April...it is a great mic for the price, works great with OBS and ZOOM...
Yep! The plug and play simplicity is awesome.
I've been using this mic for a couple of months. There is also a package that comes with a version with a removable USB cord, mic stand, small boom arm, foam cover, and wind screen. It was approx $85.
Apologies, It's a different model from Fifine but current prices are $61.99 before the 5% coupon www.amazon.com/FIFINE-Microphone-Adjustable-Instruments-Streaming-T669/dp/B07Y1C6GDS/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=FIFINE+Studio+Condenser+USB+Microphone+Computer+PC+Microphone+Kit+with+Adjustable+Scissor+Arm+Stand+Shock+Mount+for+Instruments+Voice+Overs+Recording+Podcasting+UA-cam+Karaoke+Gaming+Streaming-T669&qid=1607031857&s=musical-instruments&sr=1-1
i paid 44 euros cause i looked on idealo
Hello Tom, I have been using this mic for a bit less than 2 years now. I got it for free from a friend so I gave it a try and it turned out to be a great mic for simple every-day tasks. I might think this mic would be ok even for intermediate users. I have some issues with the AC sound coming in the mic, so I have to turn the AC off before using the mic. Thank you for your content, thumbs up and way to go!
Ahh yes, the dreaded A/C interference. Unfortunately there's not a ton that can be done about it, but depending on the software you use, you might be able to add a noise gate or some kind of voice isolation to help take care of it (although sometimes those things end up sounding worse than the original background noise 😁).
i love the mic personally, ive had a few friends buy one after hearing how good mine sounds
I've had mine for a little bit and done a little recording and have heard nothing but positive comments on the sound quality. I'm happy with the purchase tbh.
Good to know!
This was my first microphone that i ever bought, i think i made a good choice. After the cord broke, the next one I bought was also a fifine, the k669, it was even better, with a replaceable cord too. Fifine is a truly underrated brand for microphones.
You definitely made a good choice. It's definitely an underrated brand! But maybe that's a good thing because it keep them affordable 😁
How long did it take to break? Its at 50% sale and im concidering buying it
I've been using this microphone for about 8 months now and have absolutely no complaints! I actually just put together a video on my channel to utilize Reaper VST Plug-ins and Voicemeeter to get better overall quality and clarity with these cheaper USB mics. Would also highly recommend a boom arm if you're using this to bring it closer to your mouth.
Great video overall!
Glad it's been working well for so long!
Bro thats some quality content from a channel under 100k subs. Really Hope You would reach a million one day. Thx for the review mate, appreciate it!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate the kind words.
You can adjust both devices independently of each other as well
I have it for two years and it is working amazing.
That's great to hear!
I'm going to get this now! Thanks for the advice
I'm happy it was helpful!
I've used this to do international interviews. Shocking how good it is for so little money. I paid $29.
i felt the FiFine sounded better than the Shure mic.also, i noticed your EQing at the end made your voice sound more muffled compared to the raw
i bought the mic couple days ago and I am getting it today and im honestly excited to get it:)
I hope you really like it!
speaking from experience, got the cable caught in the scissor arm of my mic stand... was able to splice the cables back together with a decent electrical tape job hahah so, if you're crafty... you don't *need* to throw the whole microphone away
I'm glad you were able to fix it!
Here in Oct 2021, still a good review and a decent Mic for kids schooling or some livestreaming and not spending hundreds of dollars to have. Found this MIc for 20 bucks at a local discount store.
Nice! That's a good deal!
VB-Audio do the voicemeeter which allows multi usb mic inputs . Google VB-Audio
Great vid just ordered a fifine 👍🏻
Thanking you for review these microphones, hope to purchase one of these soon.
Glad it was helpful! Hopefully you find a mic that's perfect for you.
This review was more than just FiFine, Great job 👏🏽 😜👍🏽
I really enjoyed this video - I bought this FiFine mic to record half of cell duets so I could play along with them. I thought it did a terrific job for musical recording (cello frequency range)
It's a great mic overall!
Great to know, thank you! I knew there were smarter people out there!
What's the benefit of combining my mac built-in microphone with a USB mic? Or is this something I should avoid (for example for a stream/podcast)?
The Q2U is a really cool mic. I don't have one, but several friends do, and it always sounds great. The USB/XLr versatility is a huge bonus.
Hi Scott, thanks for sharing your use experience! That's true. The self-noise level and the noise rejection of a condenser mic is not on par with a dynamic mic. Especially in a noisy environment, a dynamic microphone setup is a better choice if the budget allows.
I'm not hearing much of a difference between the 3 microphone. I'm getting the fifine. Thanks for the review.
$7 is an absolute steal! Glad it's working out for you.
give us the link omg
@@hweart - No link. It is a brick and mortar store that you go to and search through bins and bins of returned merchandise. Everything is $7 on Saturday when it is first put out. By Friday it is 50 cents.
I have one, never regret, especially for the price.
Excellent, I've just purchased one of these. £20 October 2024 UK Amazon. Just for in game chat on my PC.
Dang, great deal!
I regretted every cent i paid for this NotSoFiFine mic.
you are strange if you want your mic to pick up screaming...
@@Scoutingg then all the movie production people in hollywood are strange for recording screaming and shouting... a perfect (non-strange) world for you is if a character in a horror movie would just make a screaming face, but the audio clips out... good on you
Oh really, for my Fifine K669L I don't have a cutting out problem
Also, how do you like my review on it?
ua-cam.com/video/qM9WExzDR5Y/v-deo.html
Thanks for the review :)
I get my Fifine in few days, can't wait !
You'll have a ton of fun with it!
You could try VoiceMeeter to mix USB audio, it's a Virtual Audio Mixer. I use it or more recently the audio mixer in OBS Studio to run my live classes on our VLE (Virtual Learning Environment)
Can you use it on discord?
@@myxie7463 should be able to, it shows up as an audio input device in Discord
Can you connect this to an iPad?
Watched your review and a few others and last January I got a Fifine K669B myself. Early on I swapped the stand to one that can got higher and lower than the included stand.
It's a lot better than the mic inside my webcam, though since its a condenser mic the noises in my area can get into the recording (and having a reflective room with no sound dampening doesn't help haha). Should have gotten a dynamic mic, but don't regret getting the K669B honestly since its pretty good and can pick up more frequencies than the webcam mic. I tend to use noise canceling for calls and noise removal effect when recording audio.
Covered it with a few layers of socks later to prevent dust from getting inside the holes of the cover of the mic capsule and it helped a little bit with the plosives.
hey i personaly bought the fifine mic and there are actually multiple packages for it like you said in the video it would be great with a boom arm, but guess what in my pac it gets you a boom arm detatchable cord and windscreen but it was 60$ intead of 30$ just wanted to let you know
That's a great deal!
Great presentation Tom. I've been using Finfine mic for almost a year now. I use it for my zoom meetings, voice recordings, and other media. I use it as my Ecamm Live main mic. Its great considering the price. No issues so far.
That’s awesome to hear! It really seems like anyone who does regular video conferencing should have at least some sort of USB mic for better audio.
@@tombuck exactly. Now I want to take my voice to the next level. I am watching your videos to see what is the best way to do that. And if you have any advise for me I will appreciate it :). I am a Mac user and use Ecamm for my broadcast.
It sounds decent. I'd like to try this budget mic
Yep think this is what ill pick up for starting out streaming. Thanks for the review very helpful
This rereview was pretty helpful. I hear gogood things about this brand regularly. Really fifine.
But really though, this brand seems a step up from the Neewer stuff for someone new to audio.
It looks like they have a whole line of pretty decent mics, I'm definitely impressed.
8:23 YUP!!!!!!!!!! Pretty darn close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great review, thanks
Thank you very much!
HI Tom. I just wanted to say a HUUUGE 'Thank You" for all you do and sharing your videos. I really enjoy watching t hem. I have a question about the color correction on your videos. How do you do them in bluish color? Thanks again.
Thank you sir! The honest answer is that I'm probably color grading my videos wrong. BUt I like the way it looks, so oh well. I use a plug in for Final Cut called "Cinema Grade" that makes it super easy to adjust colors and settings.
This mic gets delivered to my house today! Cant wait!
Exciting! I hope you like it!
I just bought one.waiting for my order
Seems like a good mic.
I have a Samson Q2U, and I love it. It is both USB and XLR, and for the price it’s a steal.
Thanks for the great review!
The Samson is awesome. I don’t have one, but I’ve done streams/podcasts with several people who do and it always sounds great.
u've got an amazing background
Thanks! It’s a very fun space.
I already have an condenser mic with Audio interface but still I want to buy this. I loved it.
Hey nothing wrong with having a nice mic collection 😁
1:05 - 5/10 - Good start
3:37 - 5/10 - not really a pun but holding the flow
Only 2 puns? What's going on here? I might have missed a couple, I'd have to rewatch later
I’m just realizing I missed the chance to talk about “condensing” information about this condenser mic 🤦🏻♂️
I really didn't focus on the voice output from microphone comparison, I hit the like & sub button because your voice sounds very relaxing! Mabuhay from the Philippines!
Wow, thanks so much Christian!
I feel like the $35 one sounds better then the $250 one!
I think so too
Great review and Thank you for not saying "Without further ado" 😄 Usually I stop the videos there😄
I feel that my videos have just the right amount of ado, so there's no need to go further.
@@tombuck well until now this is the only one what I have seen from you but I'll have a look later as I'm looking for a budget mic and it is hard to find a good review nowadays. Everyone does the same, same gestures and overused phrases, they just copy eachother and I can't watch that. I prefer to watch someone who has his own style.
I own a similar model to the one in the video mine was 75 you can change the cord on mine and it came with a mic arm wind screen and a nylon arm thing i stream with it and am current making a video with it I think it sounds fine and even good with some audio engineering I haven’t actually had a bad experience with the mic yet but it’s only been a month I would personally recommend it
Sounds like a great setup!
The Fifine K669B is the best! Since the cord is only USB, I use a USB Port - USB-C cable so that it can be compatible with my ipad and it works perfectly
That’s awesome! It’s a versatile little mic for sure.
Interesting! Totally didn’t know what to expect with that mic. Great video, as always, Tom 👍🏽
I was pleasantly surprised. The last cheap mic I tried didn’t sound very good.
@@tombuck yeah, I was expecting more of what the gold mic was like, but nope! From your video, I think I’d feel totally comfortable recommending this mic to someone wanting an inexpensive but quality solution. 🙂
Absolutely- I’m going to be passing this one along to a friend who needs one. And I won’t feel guilty since it sounds good 😁
Huge fan of Fifine ... and not just because they keep sending me microphones. 🎙
Why do they send you them?
@@MarXPG3D1 Because I'm a UA-camr as well and I stream products on AmazonLive
I have had this mic for a while. For some reason my mic had a little echo. I got a pop filter and now it is a really good mic for the price.
Been thinking about getting this for a while.
It’s a super nice mic overall, especially for the price.
@@tombuck Thanks! I got to say when I watched this I thought you had at least 100k subs, keep up the good work.
Yes! Buy the mic before watching reviews seals my intuition
I got the T669 Fifine and for what you get in the bundle it's an absolute steal! 🙌🏻
Woah, that is freaky...I need to lie down 😬
@@tombuck ha! yea, with that said... beginners are the least careful with mic technique... sooooooooo.... lol
Thanks for sharing your use experience and giving the insight on how to use the mic properly. And that's true, that's how you can get the best out of this USB mic!
I've been using this for more than 2 years now, and it's amazing! I don't really see any audio quality difference with Blue Yeti for some reason, which is crazy considering the price! (also I edit my audio a lot so my audio quality is very high)
where do you edit your audio quality??
I am really surprised, the 35$ mic sounds great!
Thanks for this review! Especially for doing comparisons with high end mics.
I'm happy that it was helpful!

I do need a gold accent for my desk.
For an added touch of class 🎩
Surprisingly it was sounding better thn bule yeti to me.... Going to order this mic after watching this, fixed cable is not a big problem for me
