I got burned by the sashimi mistake one time because I assumed it would go to the fridge first where I had a stock of carp, but it took from my inventory first where I had my catfish Another mistake I commonly make is forgetting to buy/plant trees so they can grow in time for their appropriate seasons. Especially if I am doing community center bundles
You gotta make sure to keep at least one of all the long growing crops(cauliflower, melon, and pumpkin) as Jodi, demitrius, and Caroline respectively will ask for them
I stick to only plant trees in the greenhouse, where they are not subject to lightning. Just plant them along the walls, and they produce in all seasons, too.

The burgler ring doesn't double your chance of getting a tooth from a lurker, it just rolls on the drop table again, which means you have 2 15% chances to get a tooth, rather than one 30% chance.
@@ingridplata2411 that's not really how it works, the actual chances of getting at least one are 27.75%, the way we calculate this is by squaring the odds of NOT getting it (85%), and subtracting that from 1
@@ingridplata2411 @Ingrid Plata on average, you will get three per 10 killed. So you using the 30% chance would work for doing grinding maths to figure out how many you will get. I'm simply saying the way it was worded is not correct, as edwardo pointed out, you technically have a ~27% chance to get at least one, and ~3 chance to get a second one
My first mistake in the game was that i thought that box for selling near the house was a chest for saving your things. So i was confused at the start why i have so much money. Then i realised that you have to build those chests 💀
I save almost all of my pine cones, acorns, and maple seeds. Some of them I plant for new trees, usually if I need to free up an inventory space, but most of them I keep. Before I got to a high level in Foraging, I would use them to make field snacks for going into the mines. Speaking of the mines... in the early game, I find it's best to go in there with just your pickaxe, your sword, and one kind of food that you have in good numbers (me and my five field snacks, lol). That way, you won't run out of inventory space when you have fewer slots. I only aim to get down five floors per day (find the next elevator door) and watch the clock. At about 11:30 p.m. it's best to exit the mines and head home. It will give you enough time to take the north path back to your farm without risking the curfew.
Also do not ship rubies, save them and use them at the desert trader for Spicy Eel. Spicy Eel are great to bring to the Skull Caverns, as it increases your luck.
Anything to do with Emeralds?? I keep them in my chest but idk what to do Edit: scratch emerald, ocean stone hematite all these "useless" ores what do I do with them?? 🙏🏽
Also in my first world, I never gifted the NPCs or watched the cooking show, NPCs can give you useful things like wild bait, and the cooking show tells you recipes and tips that can help, and if your wondering” what is cooking for, I don’t need to eat fancy food, I can just field snacks.” Well NPCs do like some of the recipes, and gift = happiness = hearts = cutscenes = romance = marriage = occasional gifts= Star thing and that is very useful
One mistake is filling my coop with dinosaurs, the eggs take too long and sell for too little compared to chickens. My recommendation: 1 dino, 1 duck, 1 rabbit, and then chickens 🐔 Another one: Only buying pigs for my barn and missing out on the amazing cheese as a health item option in mid game. Also selling all my cheese all the time. While with pigs it's true I can buy many salads, Gus opens at 12 and sometimes I need to get down the skull cavern and I cant afford to wait for gus. Stockpile some cheese.
@@jessier1219 Glad I'm not the only one who does this!! I keep all the common mushrooms in my inventory permanently. I love that they're always the lowest quality so my stack of 300+ mushrooms only takes up one inventory slot
I needed hay so I bought the recipe and crafted so many grass starters planted them nicely in an area on my farm went to bed and boom it's winter's first day all grass was gone and had to sell my soul to buy hay from Marnie :'(
Okay so the valuable thing about the mill and making flour and stuff (in my opinion lol) is that you can make a crap ton of bread and I use that for healing and energy - idk there’s probably something better, but bread is cheap and easy to make and it’s easy to get a full stack of it and it’s kept me safe enough to not die in skull cavern
Great vid! Though I have to say I disagree about rice and the mill not being very worthwhile. I find rice to be a great resource in the game because all you have to do is place it next to water (meaning no sprinklers necessary, and the rice will even be hydrated up to three or so spaces away from the water source!), then once you harvest it it produces SO much more than the amount you planted. One box of milled rice will sell for 100g, so if you end up getting about 116 milled rice (the avg amount I usually produce), you just made 11,600g in one day on rice alone!
A mistake I made early game was giving a lot of gifts to a few random people but then not keeping up with it and not being intentional with my friendships so they would level up to the point where you can't lose hearts from them anymore. Also, consider making more money before starting to give a lot of gifts to villagers so that you won't stay poor at the beginning of the game. I was surprised how fast I made money with the forest farm because of all the foraging I was doing and only realized it had made a difference when I tried the 4 corners farm where you don't get as many foraging items early on.
plant your grass on the 28th and it'll explode on the first of the next month. you can do this in winter so by the first of spring you'll have huge swaths ready to refill your silos. also you can put something on top of the planted grass starter to keep animals from eating it, and it'll keep spreading out from there assuming they don't eat everything else a decorative hay bale from marnie will do the trick and look fine. a good reason to get lots of joja cola is one of the qi questys asks for 100 of seven items of as many colors and joja cola counts as a blue item. and while you're abusing Gus' poor vending machine and giving money to Joja you can give him some money by getting 100 plates of spaghetti as a red item.
Did you know that you can plant a few grass on the 28 of winter and then the very next day of spring you will have a huge amount of grass then you planted
Thanks. Yeah. My most common mistake, recently, is destroying crops by either axe or pickaxe, accidentally, just by some random misclicks when I walk through the crops fields.... 🙈 .. So I learned a strict rule for myself - always hold a scythe, always hold a scythe! whenever entering the greenhouse or the crop fields :D ... Oh and I also recently wasted some Qi seasoning when I stored it in my fridge "for later use" and ... then a bit later I went to turn a bunch of coffee into espresso ... oh gosh! 🙈... 😅.... Well, as the WoW mages say "oh well, sheep happens" 😅
I HAD NO IDEA WE COULD USE IT TO GET THE SWORD. I donated the first one and placed the second one in the missing bundle... I'm jumping off the closest cliff
I just started my first play through and I was farming tons of gold for strawberries. I didn’t get sprinklers so after I planted my 120 strawberries I basically just spent the rest of spring watering strawberries.
There's a really easy way to farm coal during any year and season. Just head to Floors 40-79 and farm the puffballs each day. Saves gold and doesn't take long.
Gifted an NPC a rare artifact when I was trying to access Gunther. Took me hours to find another one. Learned to never hold anything when entering buildings
Omg this video was a blessing, i've been giving Gunther every new thing I get and after watching this I knew to save the eggs, and a few hours later I got a dino egg from a fishing treasure! I def would've donated it if I hadn't watched this before!
Be careful in the mines. If you have your sword out and you lose all your health, you can lose your sword. Still haven't been able to replace it. Also, I accidentally threw away my pants, so that's also a thing. Just warning people.
True, I tried that approach but then realized that there's a 5% daily chance of getting one, which means on average you get one every 20 days, and you need 10, so it would take almost 2 years to get enough for the obelisk.
That Galaxy Soul tip was the most helpful. I always dove into the more dangerous Skull Cavern because big slimes can have Souls inside them. But trading in ores is much easier and more reliable
Indeed a big mistake but I need all the tips and tricks for stardew valley as i can get so i watch loads and i watch them multiple times to remember then
I built the mill on this playthrough as I had the remixed bundle for 100 flour for community center. It ended up saving me a lot of money buying 100 flours, just buying the wheat seeds instead.
I'm playing Stardew Valley on Xbox One and I honestly feel that without mods or cheat codes, I'll never see half of the things you've just mentioned. I don't have the time for grinding. It's a cute game, I love it, I do, but it's very hard, even with all the tips.
A Stingray Fishpond is a pretty good source for dragon's teeth. I like to keep some Ginger Island Totems next to Sandy's Oasis so the extras are useful.
"X key to interact with dialog faster [...] this is helpful if you want to buy a ton of joja cola for some reason" The reason is Qi's Prismatic Grange - it's the easiest thing to get for Blue if you don't have a stack of 100 blueberries / blackberries around, so this is actually pretty great.
And for better abundance for gathering hay try and to fix the bridge over by the Quarry, then enter Quarry Mine to get yourself the Golden Scythe. Do be wary of the Skulls in there, they do considerable damage if one isn’t prepared. But once you reached the end of the cave you will see a robed grim reaper statue holding the Golden Scythe. Get and click the statue to return to entrance where you entered. The Golden Scythe has a 75% chance to yield more hay then the standard scythe that has 50% chance.
I just started playing stardew and this has already saved me from making any future mistakes. So far the only mistake I've made was thinking there were 30 days in a season. I am so going to use those egg incubators.
the bomb one happened to me as well, kent sent me a mega bomb in the mail and I accidentally placed in near my crops, it was the start of the day so I easily reset
Mine is defeating a lava lurker with a full inventory. Just sometimes on the lower levels when you don't have a dragon's tooth in the inventory. Realizing the mistake after the lurker is killed and you get the inventory full icon.
@@ezlilyy That's exactly what happens, yeah :[ I usually have a full inventory in that location, and as a result I didn't even realize lava lurkers could drop dragon's teeth for a while lol. I'm not sure how visible the tooth is before it's consumed by the lava, but I personally didn't notice them at first.
Everyone: Dino eggs are hard to find! save them! Me: Accidentally gets 2 of them in the same day from fishing because I wanted a super cucumber. *Laughs in RNG*
I managed to get 2 Dino eggs from the same dinosaur in the mines the other day (with the burglar ring), it was the very first dinosaur I found on that character too!
Yes, I have accidentally blown up cheese makers and fences.(it's why I do not carry bombs around anymore unless I'm going to the mines) Also I've donated a prismatic shard to the museum before getting the sword before 😅 ended up getting another fast but that was a dumb thing to do. But I learned after to not do that.
Both my saves I'm working on were both lucky enough to get a dinosaur egg in that first spring 😂 my second save is still currently in that first spring since I started it recently, but this save had been so lucky. I got the trashcan hat, dinosaur egg, and first ancient fruit seed all by the 11th of spring and within like three days of each other aha. (It's kind of funny too because I tried to recreate Komaeda Nagito from Danganronpa 2. For anyone who doesn't know, his ability is the ultimate lucky student, so it's kinda ironic that he ended up being this lucky)
I was so mad a few years back. I dug up a dinosaur egg in one of my random moments of "till every peice if land on the damn map" and found it near the bus stop. It was summer day 16 of my first playthrough and I was so excited to give it to the museum. As soon as I donated it I had a feeling that I could have made more eggs. You can. And I also learned how stupid rare these things are and it made me even more upset. 🙃 I still to this day haven't found another dino egg in that play through and it's been like 5 years. I have found more in other playthroughs but the haunting of this now makes me keep the first of everything I find until I can confirm it's not rare or I make multiple.
I blame Kent. STOP SENDING ME BOMBS IN THE MAIL KENT!! Like seriously who does that?! Also my worst mistake was putting a dinosaur egg in the mayonnaise machine and then starting the day over. Didn’t get the egg or the mayonnaise 😓
Great video! another thing with the grass is that animals can straight up eat the grass without you having to harvest it, so if you plant grass in any or your animal enclosures, you won’t have to harvest it as often (you should still have hay for rainy days when the animals don’t go outside and obviously for winter)
Also this is a pretty dumb mistake but i built my coop next to my farm and kept placing grass starters for my chickens. Grass starters can't spread on grass😭 they would eat them took me a whole 3 seasons to realize
One tip that I have is in the 1st year try and make as much money on parsnips as possible before the egg festival Which is the 1st festival you will attend there you can buy strawberries do not plant them right away by as many as you can And save them for the next year The amount of money you will make that next year with those strawberry seeds is strawberry seeds is unreal A gold star strawberry goes for 180 These strawberry plants will produce strawberries throughout the entire month By then you should have a seed maker Use a portion of those strawberries for next year's yield Rinse repeat And once you get fermentation barrels you can turn it into jam and make even more money Great video by the way love thanks for all the tips much appreciated
Well, after watching through this, I can confidently say that I have never made any of these mistakes. It’s probably because on my first farm (which was a co-op) I didn’t get trusted w/anything important and we only finished one year. Also, on my second and current farm, I check everything I do with websites and UA-cam videos, like yours! Great video!
I found a starfish on the beach and I was excited about it and when I saw abigail I ran over and gifted it to her and she hated it. I was so upset, I would love to be gifted cool seashells and starfish and sand dollars and stuff, and she just ripped my heart out
my biggest mistake is i chose the river map because i loved fishing. during mid game i realized i wanted to stop fishin and decorate my farm n stuff but too bad
I remember playing on the farm with monsters and wearing inferno ring (the one that blows up killed enemies). One time I’ve accidentally blown most of my kegs with starfruit vine. After that I’ve never wore this ring
I just got 2 dinosaur eggs the day after each other, one from fishing and one from the little worms. I felt soo lucky. I got the ancient seed from the same fishing chest as the dinosaur egg too.
I'm on y1 day 45 and this video definitely helped me, already subscribed, and the best is that I got practically no spoilers of anything, amazing video.
Your voice is extremely soothing and easy to listen to! Love the detailed content, I'll be sure not to make any of these mistakes c: Thank you for your hard work!
I ridiculously underestimated the scale of this game when I first started playing. It is massive! I recently played Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and it's almost as big as that.
Tip 14 : addon if you can't afford to do runs in the volcano for whatever reason you can fish a stingray from the pirate cove, put it in a fish pond and they will sometimes give you a Dragons tooth.(and cinder shards)
Most people probably already know this, but if you’re digging in a trash can make sure none of the NPCs can see you. If you want to be friends with the NPC them seeing you digging in trash isn’t going to help you.
Some addendums to this. 1: Grass no longer dies in the winter, but it does go dormant and won't grow. 2: Rice on it's own doesn't sell for very much, but you can now turn 1 rice into 2 vinegar using kegs, which doubles how much it sells for.
Make sure to check the wiki to find the safe blocks that npcs wont walk on before you place down your chests! I made that mistake on my first game and Willy kicked dozens of gold and iridium star fish I was about to sell him into the ocean like a jerk >:(
I find that the best way to not mess up sashimi is to a) keep fish off my person, and b) place a bunch of, say, chubs in the fridge first, then your other fish, then a bunch of some other cheap, easy to load up on fish like sardines in the last slot. That way the fish needed for specific dishes are protected by a wall of cheap fish padding.
The sword (or any other weapon) can give hay only if you have enchanted it (and enchanting costs a prismatic shard). Not very useful to enchant a weapon to obtain hay
So many times I have gifted an item to the wrong person. Ugh… it was a rare item too. I’ve bombed my farm about twice now!! Once was RIGHT AFTER I finished my morning tasks & was preparing to go the mines. ALSO, when using staircases, switch to another item as soon as possible so you don’t place two on the same floor!!!!!!!!!
dont put valuable item near water, because if you want to move it and use pickaxe it will throw the item to the water and you will lost the item forever, it happens to me once, my rare scarecrow i put it near the water, and when i want to take it using pickaxe it throw into the water and i cry a whole day
i know you can take back stuff you donated to gunther just replace was on there with something different. it has be a new item you never gave to him though.
personally, i think you should buy every single building. coop, barn, mill, slime hutch, etc. it gives you a part of the full farming experience of stardew!
Straight up never did the bomb thing on accident... But have done it on purpose to pick up slot of machines at once to move to the shed when I was lazy...
i always did a big research on every gem or rare item i get to make sure none of npcs that i’m planning to friend need it or it has any other use i learned from other games to always search up anything i don’t know about it

My way of getting a lot of coal is to craft a lot of charcoal kilns. Since wood is abundant, I get a steady supply of coal that way.
Should I place every fish/foods in the fridge?

Is it possible to use mod in mobile
The burgler ring doesn't double your chance of getting a tooth from a lurker, it just rolls on the drop table again, which means you have 2 15% chances to get a tooth, rather than one 30% chance.
Yeah, which means you have a 30% chance that at least one of those rolls will give you a Dragon Tooth and a 2.25% chance to get two!
@@ingridplata2411 that's not really how it works, the actual chances of getting at least one are 27.75%, the way we calculate this is by squaring the odds of NOT getting it (85%), and subtracting that from 1
@@eduardoxenofonte4004 I like your funny words, magic man
@@ingridplata2411 @Ingrid Plata on average, you will get three per 10 killed. So you using the 30% chance would work for doing grinding maths to figure out how many you will get. I'm simply saying the way it was worded is not correct, as edwardo pointed out, you technically have a ~27% chance to get at least one, and ~3 chance to get a second one
Your education was a waste of taxpayers money
My first mistake in the game was that i thought that box for selling near the house was a chest for saving your things. So i was confused at the start why i have so much money. Then i realised that you have to build those chests 💀
Omg lol i just started playing the game and did the same thing last night. Had no idea until i saw this comment

Yeah, and if you leaves the mines at 1 am it will give you just enough time so that you can collapse right next to your bed
This is exactly what I do!
Also do not ship rubies, save them and use them at the desert trader for Spicy Eel. Spicy Eel are great to bring to the Skull Caverns, as it increases your luck.
Anything to do with Emeralds?? I keep them in my chest but idk what to do
Edit: scratch emerald, ocean stone hematite all these "useless" ores what do I do with them?? 🙏🏽
Also in my first world, I never gifted the NPCs or watched the cooking show, NPCs can give you useful things like wild bait, and the cooking show tells you recipes and tips that can help, and if your wondering” what is cooking for, I don’t need to eat fancy food, I can just field snacks.” Well NPCs do like some of the recipes, and gift = happiness = hearts = cutscenes = romance = marriage = occasional gifts=
Star thing and that is very useful
One mistake is filling my coop with dinosaurs, the eggs take too long and sell for too little compared to chickens. My recommendation: 1 dino, 1 duck, 1 rabbit, and then chickens 🐔
Another one: Only buying pigs for my barn and missing out on the amazing cheese as a health item option in mid game. Also selling all my cheese all the time.
While with pigs it's true I can buy many salads, Gus opens at 12 and sometimes I need to get down the skull cavern and I cant afford to wait for gus. Stockpile some cheese.
By selling the eggs i mean mayo btw
I have the mushroom cave & i stock up on those, sure you have to eat a couple to heal up, but theyre free and you get so many if you have that cave
@@jessier1219 Glad I'm not the only one who does this!! I keep all the common mushrooms in my inventory permanently. I love that they're always the lowest quality so my stack of 300+ mushrooms only takes up one inventory slot
@@kristenserovski6125 They also can be made into some pretty powerful potions, when combined together. Always a must to have.

I needed hay so I bought the recipe and crafted so many grass starters planted them nicely in an area on my farm went to bed and boom it's winter's first day all grass was gone and had to sell my soul to buy hay from Marnie :'(
Oh no that sounds terrible...
I can just picture it, day 1 winter with no grass and no Hay 😅
I ran out on day 4 😔
I would be like:
Hay where'd it all go.
I'll see myself out.
@@PerfectPitcher13 😞
my animals been starving for 10 days now 💀
Okay so the valuable thing about the mill and making flour and stuff (in my opinion lol) is that you can make a crap ton of bread and I use that for healing and energy - idk there’s probably something better, but bread is cheap and easy to make and it’s easy to get a full stack of it and it’s kept me safe enough to not die in skull cavern
And you dont have to use eggs which for me is my money maker. I would rather do bread or tortillas lol
I did exactly like you with 3000 flour turned it all for 2000000 cash and 70 que gems
The mill “advice” was non-sense 😢
I turned my Crimsonfish into sashimi by accident.
Good thing i didn't go to sleep that day so i just rolled back .. had to still catch it again tho.
Dodged a bullet there!
At least it wasn't the Legend or the Glacier fish, I find those hard to catch
plant your grass on the 28th and it'll explode on the first of the next month. you can do this in winter so by the first of spring you'll have huge swaths ready to refill your silos.
also you can put something on top of the planted grass starter to keep animals from eating it, and it'll keep spreading out from there assuming they don't eat everything else a decorative hay bale from marnie will do the trick and look fine.
a good reason to get lots of joja cola is one of the qi questys asks for 100 of seven items of as many colors and joja cola counts as a blue item. and while you're abusing Gus' poor vending machine and giving money to Joja you can give him some money by getting 100 plates of spaghetti as a red item.
Did you know that you can plant a few grass on the 28 of winter and then the very next day of spring you will have a huge amount of grass then you planted
I think grass just regenerates naturally spring 1
When u wanna talk to someone make sure you’re not holding something you want to keep
Thanks. Yeah. My most common mistake, recently, is destroying crops by either axe or pickaxe, accidentally, just by some random misclicks when I walk through the crops fields.... 🙈 .. So I learned a strict rule for myself - always hold a scythe, always hold a scythe! whenever entering the greenhouse or the crop fields :D
I know the pain of donating the first prismatic shard too well
I just recently got into the game and a few days ago donated my first shard T-T
I HAD NO IDEA WE COULD USE IT TO GET THE SWORD. I donated the first one and placed the second one in the missing bundle... I'm jumping off the closest cliff
@@malakmoustafa9063 same here man, just yesterday too 😭 i wanna take it back
I just started my first play through and I was farming tons of gold for strawberries.
Just warning people.
could they not get the sword back at the adventurers guild?
you can get it back in the item recovery shop
Can also have a fishing pong with sting rays to get dragon tooth.
True, I tried that approach but then realized that there's a 5% daily chance of getting one, which means on average you get one every 20 days, and you need 10, so it would take almost 2 years to get enough for the obelisk.
Fishing pong xd
That Galaxy Soul tip was the most helpful. I always dove into the more dangerous Skull Cavern because big slimes can have Souls inside them. But trading in ores is much easier and more reliable
Mistakes you make are not watching all of ezlilyy videos! They have helped me so much!! Thanks forever!
I didn’t know you get a free ostrich egg
how did you not know these things?
Indeed a big mistake but I need all the tips and tricks for stardew valley as i can get so i watch loads and i watch them multiple times to remember then
I built the mill on this playthrough as I had the remixed bundle for 100 flour for community center. It ended up saving me a lot of money buying 100 flours, just buying the wheat seeds instead.
They asked you for 100 flour for the community centre? That's crazy I didn't get that in a bundle
Yea my friends and I got that in the remix too! Luckily planting wheat isn’t too difficult
5% daily chance for a tooth = 1 tooth every 20 days. If you need 10 teeth, it takes almost 2 years. Not great.

True!
I forgot about fertilizer, but yeah don't turn your expensive legendary fish into fertilizer 😅
The chest in the fishing spot is genius. I’ve been playing since 2016 and NEVER thought of it!
Setting a bomb inside the house, and walking out the door, because the map wasn't loaded when it went boom, all the chests survived the boom.
Chests with items in it won't break.
i make this mistake a lot: losing in the egg hunting game against Abigail

makes me angry that i get like 8 eggs and and abigail gets 0 and still wins...bs
And you can flex your Golden Scythe to the townspeople
I just started playing stardew and this has already saved me from making any future mistakes. So far the only mistake I've made was thinking there were 30 days in a season. I am so going to use those egg incubators.
the bomb one happened to me as well, kent sent me a mega bomb in the mail and I accidentally placed in near my crops, it was the start of the day so I easily reset
Mine is defeating a lava lurker with a full inventory. Just sometimes on the lower levels when you don't have a dragon's tooth in the inventory. Realizing the mistake after the lurker is killed and you get the inventory full icon.
Wow I have never had that happen to me,
does it drop into the lava and get destroyed? ?
@@ezlilyy That's exactly what happens, yeah :[ I usually have a full inventory in that location, and as a result I didn't even realize lava lurkers could drop dragon's teeth for a while lol. I'm not sure how visible the tooth is before it's consumed by the lava, but I personally didn't notice them at first.
That happens to me all the time! It's so depressing to see the tooth flash on the screen briefly before it falls into the lava.
Yes, I have accidentally blown up cheese makers and fences.(it's why I do not carry bombs around anymore unless I'm going to the mines)
Also I've donated a prismatic shard to the museum before getting the sword before 😅 ended up getting another fast but that was a dumb thing to do.
For anyone who doesn't know, his ability is the ultimate lucky student, so it's kinda ironic that he ended up being this lucky)
is the trashcan hat important??
@@morgang.5734 no its just a hat but its quite rare
I was so mad a few years back. I dug up a dinosaur egg in one of my random moments of "till every peice if land on the damn map" and found it near the bus stop.
It was summer day 16 of my first playthrough and I was so excited to give it to the museum. As soon as I donated it I had a feeling that I could have made more eggs. You can. And I also learned how stupid rare these things are and it made me even more upset. 🙃
I still to this day haven't found another dino egg in that play through and it's been like 5 years.
Oh Noooo that is so much worse than just giving it to Gunther 😅
Great video! another thing with the grass is that animals can straight up eat the grass without you having to harvest it, so if you plant grass in any or your animal enclosures, you won’t have to harvest it as often (you should still have hay for rainy days when the animals don’t go outside and obviously for winter)
Also this is a pretty dumb mistake but i built my coop next to my farm and kept placing grass starters for my chickens. Grass starters can't spread on grass😭 they would eat them took me a whole 3 seasons to realize
Gets two dinosaur eggs from fishing alone: 👁️👄👁️
One tip that I have is in the 1st year try and make as much money on parsnips as possible before the egg festival Which is the 1st festival you will attend there you can buy strawberries do not plant them right away by as many as you can And save them for the next year The amount of money you will make that next year with those strawberry seeds is strawberry seeds is unreal A gold star strawberry goes for 180 These strawberry plants will produce strawberries throughout the entire month By then you should have a seed maker Use a portion of those strawberries for next year's yield Rinse repeat And once you get fermentation barrels you can turn it into jam and make even more money
Great video by the way love thanks for all the tips much appreciated
I never thought of placing chest next to fishing spots, I totally forgot you could place these outside of your farm lol
That is not how probability works with the lava lurkers, but great video. Didn't know about the galaxy thing
4:34 it’s not about the money it’s about the food
I'm on y1 day 45 and this video definitely helped me, already subscribed, and the best is that I got practically no spoilers of anything, amazing video.
Once I’m done with Legends Arceus, I will be going back to my Stardew Valley addiction.
Even better then using the x button for yes and no prompts, you can use y an n key to signify yes and no!
Oh my, that makes so many things so much easier! I will definitely use this, Thanks!
Don't rely on your water bucket. Rely on sprinklers. You don't have the energy
Hehe, you still fight the lurkers like I did on my first plat through. Use your watering can to get out closer to them on the obsidian. ;D
Tip 14 : addon if you can't afford to do runs in the volcano for whatever reason you can fish a stingray from the pirate cove, put it in a fish pond and they will sometimes give you a Dragons tooth.(and cinder shards)
I mostly use the mill for aesthetics. It looks pretty.
The mill is really good looking, just like the Well
Most people probably already know this, but if you’re digging in a trash can make sure none of the NPCs can see you. If you want to be friends with the NPC them seeing you digging in trash isn’t going to help you.
Except Linus will gain friendship with you
Some addendums to this.
1: Grass no longer dies in the winter, but it does go dormant and won't grow.
2: Rice on it's own doesn't sell for very much, but you can now turn 1 rice into 2 vinegar using kegs, which doubles how much it sells for.
Keep stingrays in ponds and they’ll give you dragon teeth every so often.
i accidentally turned my free ostrich egg into blackberry cobbler T-T
0:33 thanks for this. I found a prismatic shard about a game year back, and i didn't want to donate it until I found another one, but this is better

My only mistake in Stardew first Time playing was I put a red mushroom in the soup in Stardew valley festival. After that I was all alone. ;(
This is the most pedantic comment I've ever written, but technically rolling a 15% twice gives you a 27.75% chance of getting a tooth, not 30%
Well yeah, but that remaining 2.25% chance is a chance to get 2 dragon teeth so it's better I would argue (to be even more pedantic!)
I don’t even know what most of these stuffs are but I still continue to watch vids like this so I won’t make mistakes you guys made on my current save
Thanks for the help I really need this!
Glad it helped!
when i was trying to talk to a npc i give a good item on mistake and i became sad after that
i never bombed myself. but maybe because i only played like 150 hours of stardew valley
I just started out. Accidentally planted 25 cauliflowers in the 20th spring, forgetting they take 12 days to grow AND spring ends in the 28th.

harvest your grass always with the sword, because it costs no energy ;)
A scythe cost no energy either.
The sword doesn't give you hay, the scythe does and it costs no energy.
@@laly2482 Good point.

The sword (or any other weapon) can give hay only if you have enchanted it (and enchanting costs a prismatic shard). Not very useful to enchant a weapon to obtain hay
another mistake, don’t choose the lake farm. i have it and it’s full of little islands and gets rid of so much space.
you carry bombs on you 24/7? i keep mine in a chest infront of skull cavern entrance
i keep mine in a junimo chest because i only really farm normal mines sometimes
So many times I have gifted an item to the wrong person. Ugh… it was a rare item too.
I’ve bombed my farm about twice now!! Once was RIGHT AFTER I finished my morning tasks & was preparing to go the mines.
ALSO, when using staircases, switch to another item as soon as possible so you don’t place two on the same floor!!!!!!!!!
dont put valuable item near water, because if you want to move it and use pickaxe it will throw the item to the water and you will lost the item forever, it happens to me once, my rare scarecrow i put it near the water, and when i want to take it using pickaxe it throw into the water and i cry a whole day
i have a rarecrow next to the water... what do i do ??
i know you can take back stuff you donated to gunther just replace was on there with something different. it has be a new item you never gave to him though.
