Home-made crumpets are less doughy and not as heavy as shop-bought crumpets. Serve them lightly toasted, oozing with butter. Recipe at www.thebreadkit...
Only thing to note to those new to crumpets: let the metal rings get up to heat before you add the batter. That way the batter will cook and shrink away from the ring. The ring will lift off clean when the crumpet's sides shrink.
Madam, you are a culinary genius. I've just tried your recipe for the first time, and I'm delighted! I had always assumed that crumpets were difficult to make, but your recipe and technique is perfect. Thank you very much for sharing this.😊💕
I've made this recipe twice now and they always come out delicious! Such a wonderful recipe! Made me instanteanously love crumpets since the first time!!
I love your show. It reminds me of my time when I worked for the NHS in 2007... Just to mention it: never use tuna-cans. They're laquered from the inside with a epoxy-resin that will when heated contaminate your food with reasonable amounts of bisphenole... Anyway, everyone needs eggrings!
That was very nice to watch. I love the way you explain it so clearly, peacefully and in such a friendly tone. It makes me feel at peace instantly. Thanks Titli.
The idea with the empty tuna can is pure brilliance, something i have never even thought about till now, thats enough to subscribe to and like your channel 😊😊😊x
This is the most sensible recipe I've come across. An up to 2 hr rising time, and a recipe ingredient ratio that is easy to half or double as needed. Thank you!
We don't have crumpets in America. I had no idea they were this easy to make! You, dear lady, are a treasure and have just changed my life. Thank you for the video!
Finally found a recipe that is a true crumpet and far better than most of the so-called professionals came up with their versions. The only thing I found was that the hydration level was a bit high so I added an extra 50g of flour and bingo crumpets that were edible and very tasty. Thank you very much for the recipe.
Can't wait to try this recipe. ..I lived in London and I loved to have crumpets ...we don't have it here in Brazil so I really will try to make. Thank you!
Oh I'm not sure if you are still making any videos but I wanted to thank you for all your teaching videos! You've helped me to become a better bread maker!! Thank you so much!!
Wow! Fascinating. I actually didn’t know crumpets were made like this, and I’ve been eating them for decades! Lovely lady. Wish she were my neighbour.... I’d be round for a cuppa everyday! 😊😊
I’ve been living in UK for 7 years and I used to have crumpets with marmite, bacon and poached eggs....now that I have moved I can’t have those lovely crumpets, but thanks to your video I will make them and I can have them again. Thanks 🙏🏻
Made these this morning and will never buy them again from a store, they were fantastic! Thank you do much for this recipe, however every time I lightly greased my crumpet ring it did make me chuckle ;) x
God bless Titli for sharing this absolutely fabulous crumpet recipe, it's the best, the easiest and tastiest with the best possible results over all. Just delicious! Thank you!
Thank you , I decided to make my first crumpets and was spoilt of choice with many recipes on UA-cam , I chose your and you didn’t let me down , they came out great and taste wonderful too Big thumbs up!
In looking for a crumpet recipe on UA-cam, I loaded 5 videos on different tabs with the intention of watching all of them to learn better how to make them. I watched yours first and then deleted all the others --and then I subscribed. Well done and thank you!!
I'm an American, and I've always wanted to know how to make crumpets because they look so darn delicious. Definitely going to try my hand at these soon!
Thank you so much for your video! I came here because I was curious how crumpets are made, I thought it was much more complicated. I can't wait to get in the kitchen and knock up my own batch!
I have just made these and since going vegan this is one very big breakfast that I missed You are a utter genius they turned out amazing thankyou so much.❤️👌🏼👍🏼👍🏼😍
Hello: I did them and they turn out great. I didn't have the ring crumpets so I used cookie cutter. My mother really enjoyed them. Thank you for share this recipe with us, your explanations were perfect. A hug from Colombia :-)
I made these last night and they are really nice. Nothing like the rubber discs you get in the supermarket. Soft and delicious. Will be making these again for sure. Hang on, I have some left over from last night, see ya :)
Magnificent crumpets....living in Hong Kong I'm sure a batch of these "slathered in butter" and then spread with Marmite will be just the ticket for taking my mind off all the rioting!
Thank you for this easy to follow recipe! And the tuna tin idea! I wanted to try them today but didn’t have an official ring for it but I do have tuna tins! ☺️
My mouth is watering right now, I tried to make them once and everything I did looked exactly the same but I thing I tried to fry them and used too much heat and oil instead of cooking them slowly, I have the crumpet rings and they cost a ton of money in the stores and I'm sure they are not as good as quality home made crumpets, I think it's time to try again and be more patient! Thank you for the recipie! ***** XOXOXO
@Susan Taylor, with all due respect, here in the west coast we recognize them as two very different things. If you haven’t tried a crumpet yet, you can find them at Trader Joe’s or Safeway sometimes. Not sure if you have one of those in your neck of the woods.
Decided to give these a go. I’ve also made her bloomer. Let’s hope they come out ok. I followed recipe for granary bread and was delighted with results. I live in France and crumpets you cannot buy.
I really enjoy crumpets Thank you for showing us how to make them. I will be trying this in the next few days. I am a crumpet junky. butter and peanut butter on them yummy
Thanks for the video. You make it look so easy. Can I ask a couple of questions? If I make the batter the night before, would it be OK to let it sit until morning? Once the crumpets are ready to eat can I put them aside and heat them in the toaster in a day or two?
Absolutely fabulous, thank you so much! Spotted the Cresta Frothy Man reference, nice one. I really can't wait to do this, I only have one crumpet ring, but we get through a lot of tuna so.... even better you solved that too. Thank you so much for posting this, subscribed.
Only thing to note to those new to crumpets: let the metal rings get up to heat before you add the batter. That way the batter will cook and shrink away from the ring. The ring will lift off clean when the crumpet's sides shrink.
Did she say "all frothy mann" 😂😂, literally made me crack up Haha! Love it! Amazing video btw! X

What a delightful lady, and beautiful-looking crumpets, too.
Very nice woman. Appreciate your time and enthusiasm.
Thanks for the recipe. I had headache finding the difference between crumpets and English muffins. Your recipes cleared it! 😊

Big thumbs up!
Can’t tell you how delicious these were. I shall make these again
OH MY GOSH!!! I am definitely making these. Love crumpets. Thank you for the lovely, simplistic video
When I made I found putting the batter in a warm place for 20 to 25 minutes worked best for me, more than that it collapses on itself.
I find the opening very soothing with the easygoing song and the therapeutic kneading together. Kudos!

Love your videos. In America we call these English muffins. Thank you so much for the lessons.
That is a bit strange because English muffins are not crumpets.
@Susan Taylor, with all due respect, here in the west coast we recognize them as two very different things. If you haven’t tried a crumpet yet, you can find them at Trader Joe’s or Safeway sometimes. Not sure if you have one of those in your neck of the woods.
