It's so frustrating that you can't know what is true and what not so many doctors say it's bad and the rest say it's good. Both of them have studies behind which support them...

MDs are not the best sources of nutrition advice beyond basic knowledge (like recommending you add spinach to your diet if your blood work shows low iron). Registered dietitians go to school for like eight years just to study food whereas MDs only get one or two classes on basic nutrition. If you need more specialized advice, I’d recommend either following RDs online or setting an appointment with one if that’s feasible for you

Been telling people that Chinese have been eating soy foods for centuries and they often live above the age of westerners and not just modern westerners but going way back centuries before processed foods became a big thing in the industrialized western world. There are 10 people who are too intellectually challenged so they want cancer, or who just hate that women are finding a way to survive and men too, my husband had prostate cancer. the 5 years I spent being vegan and exploring the wonders of soy, he would not touch it. He got stage 4 cancer, could not wait for a diet change, he had surgery vs. chemo and radiation. He is vegan now because he had to go through the horrors of that surgery to know there is something dreadfully wrong with the American Diet.
In my family: my mother and my sister died of breast cancer; on my husband’s side, his mother died of breast cancer. She had fought cancer for years, started as colon cancer, went to the uterus, then on to the breast. She LOVED Dairy, but Dairy did not love her. Almost all of the tastes and textures can be mimicked by plants.
You don’t have to give up good eating. Things really do taste good. If your family would prefer you dead to alive, is your family’s issue. Educate them and don’t die!

It’s not adults that take phytoestrogens that concerns me.
It’s the soy in baby formula that concerns us.
      1) we know phytoestrogens (in soy) will reduce the size and function of genitals in growing mammals. Experimental data shows this.
      2) we know phytoestrogens effect humans, menopausal women benefit form it. Doctors tell women not to take it when going to IVF.
      3) we know that drinking VERY large amounts of soy milk in some men will cause physiological changes akin to estrogen.
The idea that this will have no effect on growing male infant genitalia is absurd . Why is everyone ignoring this?

It’s not adults that take phytoestrogens that concerns me.
It’s the soy in baby formula that concerns us.
    1) we know phytoestrogens (in soy) will reduce the size and function of genitals in growing mammals. Experimental data shows this.
    2) we know phytoestrogens effect humans, menopausal women benefit form it.
    3) we know that drinking VERY large amounts of soy milk in some men will cause physiological changes akin to estrogen.
The idea that this will have no effect on growing male infant genitalia is absurd . Why is everyone ignoring this?

Plus they rely on desensitization of people to the suffering of animals. It’s just a different level of greed than from someone who grows vegetables. The issue isn’t health, someone can have their biochemistry changed and still be healthy
    1) we know for a fact that giving young mammals so overtime will change the size and function of the genitals.
    2) we know that doctors tell women going through IVF not to eat soy because isoflavins will affect the outcome. we know postmenopausal women eat soy for benefits. Soy definitely affects human biochemistry in a significant way.
    3) Every study measuring the effect of soy on men is always geared toward adults and their testosterone levels or overall health. That was never the problem.
Changes in the body we don’t want is what we are concerned about. Everyone is pretending for some reason human males are the only exception to changes in biochemistry from soy.

It may have been that particular restaurant. They may have been adding a lot of salt to the food unnecessarily. They have been under the misconception that people found vegetarian food to be “bland”, and so thought they had to salt it up. Otherwise there is no logical reason why soy products should contain more sodium than meat products. Besides, most processed meats also have had a lot of salt added to them.

Most people to don not interact with Soy in any manner discussed in this video! Most people interact with soy as an oil. "To produce soybean oil, the soybeans are cracked, adjusted for moisture content, heated to between 60 and 88 °C (140-190 °F), rolled into flakes, and solvent-extracted with hexanes. The oil is then refined, blended for different applications, and sometimes hydrogenated. Soybean oils, both liquid and partially hydrogenated are sold as "vegetable oil," or are ingredients in a wide variety of processed foods." These compounds are not health soy beans but foreign materials in the body.
Understand that if they can make a tire out of it, then the more processed it is the less you should put in your body.

95% of all soy is GMO. This means it has residue of an herbicide called glyphosate. Soy can raise estrogen levels and decrease testosterone levels. Soy protein isolates can be found in diet shakes, diet bars, vegan meat patties, and even baby formula.
Soy protein isolate can be hard on the liver. It's also not fermented like tofu, tempeh, or miso and is not easily digested.

Several factors place you at greater risk of developing endometriosis, such as:

Going through menopause at an older age
Short menstrual cycles - for instance, less than 27 days
Heavy menstrual periods that last longer than seven days

Most people referred to as "soy. Boys" don't eat soy unless it is in miso soup served with a teriyaki dish.
They do, however, eat a TON of metallic iron filings in iron fortified possessed foolds. This toxic form of iron drive oxidative stress, and when bio-copper runs low, estrogen becomes the plan B antioxidant.
      Metallic iron filings drive hyperestrogenemia.

Should you avoid soy products when recovering from an iron deficiency if your on a plant based diet? Or should you just have soy products separate from high iron foods/ meals? Slightly hard as it’s used for protein in main meals. Any help is much appreciated

I also wonder whether soy is healthy because it so happens that, since the intervention of Monsanto in the agriculture of Argentina, all soy is 100% GM. There are some 'organic' soy products but, are they really organic? Inevitable question.

I have recently bought Dr Bernards book. And I have gone completely vegan with no animal products, no Dairy, no oil. My question is about beauty products. For example, I have some cosmetics & a bath oil that has coconut oil, shea butter and olive oil in it. Knowing that the skin is the largest organ of the body, and a permeable membrane, will using these products affect the diet in any way?
