"The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth."
eh, deostn justify it
@@j.b.5422 Does it justify the village? Or is saying that just siding with the village because it's the village and not some child?
Kieran just spent all his time studying competitive pokemon just because you lied to him
This man became the best at his school because we saw some cute ogre thing without him and still lost
I mean, I'd feel betrayed too honestly. If I had the chance I wouldn't lied to him in Kitakami tbh
The saddest part about this whole storyline is probably that he spent weeks, or maybe even months studying, training his team, defeating the Élite 4 and becoming the best trainer in the Blueberry Academy only to be defeated by the one who betrayed him
@CoffeeTheFannyFan I mean, we started all over again and we're friends again, but yeah. If I had my team at the same level as his I'd probably lose ngl
Honestly if some rando showed up in my hometown, befriended me just to lie to me, beat my ass three times, and then my favorite Pokémon chose him over me, all in the span of like a day and a half, I’d be on my villain arc too.
This man really went from "3 baby seals taped together" to being out for your BLOOD.
YOU HAVE SOME NERVE BRINGING THAT "OGRE" HERE OF ALL TIMES!!!
-kieran, if you send out ogerpon
B O N K
-Ogerpon
Hey that ogre Is named ponyo and she likes eating PBJ sandwiches and taking naps all the time! Give her hugs you edgy fuck!
*throws bricks at Kieran Jojo style*
And the best part is that Kieran's AI is programmed to target Ogerpon AT ALL TIMES - it's like she was having applied permanent Follow Me effect on her.
Like, wow, that REALLY was surprising, but in a good way - it feels more "realistic"
His Dragonite is also effective against 3 of Ogerpon’s forms
That's what he said to me before Dragonite oneshot it with a Super Effective Hurricane with the Ogrepon being 10 levels higher. Closest he will get to RIGHTFUL vindication!
Gamefreak knew what they were doing giving this kid Incineroar with intimidate, fake out and a sitrus berry, a tera normal dragonite with extreme speed, prankster Grimmsnarl with screens. His whole team is competitively viable for doubles
Starting with Hurricane Dragonite and Drizzle Politoed was the first sign this team’s built different
His tera's Hydrapple, though.
@@ricardorunos9782 at least it's super effective against Ice, but Steel would be way better
@@Rageouzsome say the reason he goes with tera fighting is because of how hard he's fighting to win
Fighting spirit, that sort of thing
Funny how he was easier than Amarys for me his team died the moment I saw him send out that Politoed when I led with Archaludon carrying its funny little electric move
"Sorry Kieran, but you stand no chance like last time."
*Five mins later I'm down to my last two Pokemon.*

Best guitar I've ever heard

"I will nail your body to this entry way"
-kieran, probably
Seeing the music evolve over the dlcs from little kid, to upset child, to a character who's built their team *specifically to wreck you and the Ogre in a battle,* I have some qualms about the direction of the music but I can see the vision for it. The music plays from Kieran's pov I think, where his overflowing anger is matched only by his desperation to finally get a win against the MC. He wants to end this fight as quickly and brutally, to strategically outmatch you at Pokemon....which is virtually impossible unless the person playing the game isn't taking things somewhat seriously.
I don't believe that Kieran has the same gravitas and presence that other Champions/Powerful Endgame Bosses have. Red, Steven, Cynthia, N and Ghetsis, etc, they exude confidence that they'll be able to defeat you with their music. Kieran is different in that the music here is racked with anxiety and his sense of magnified inferiority towards the main character. He tries to put on a fully confident vibe with his expressions and words and actions, but the music says otherwise. There's nothing else for him except to win. He's got no idea what he'd do in the event of a loss and hasn't planned for it....He mentally can't handle that possibility. Which is why if you beat him here, his immediate reaction is a dazed shock.
On the flipside, if Kieran ever gave the player some actual difficulty at any point in time, this music hits the intended vibe the composers wanted. This is someone who was semi-dangerous after they started shuffling and shuffling their team over and over...and is now very dangerous after they've built a potentially competitive viable team. For players who don't get into competitive pokemon, Kieran could be a real threat.
I appreaciate watching Kieran's descent and spiral of desperation from a narrative standpoint, because even if you don't agree with how he's presented, you can't help but agree that he's a well executed character. He might seem cringey at times, but imagine if you kept losing to a random person over and over, without being able to overcome it for some time. You'd also start to lose it a bit. XD
Very well done.
arent u also a lil kif the protagonist are like 11 in sv wich along with kanto and alola are the youngest protags the only older protags were unova and kalos maybe dpp if u count 13 as not a little kid. kinda hypocrytical to hate on little kids when u play as one lol

@@jet_set8648 true
They did that for most of the NPCs. I remember struggling a bit with a random NPC trainer that was running a team that starred a Swift Swim Kingdra with a Life Orb alongside a Drizzle Politoed. I only won because the Kingdra killed itself with its own Life Orb recoil.

You know you love a character and it's story when you make a new team just for the dlc due to your main one crushing everything in it due to being too op
Kieran I want to EARN a win from you
I tried that at the start of the dlc, but I guess the team I put together just wasn’t strong enough so I had some trouble with it, so I ended up mixing the two teams, plus even my level 100 starter was knocked out in a few fights. The dlc was a fun challenge, I did end up using a few items throughout it, but even then I still got wrecked. I tried to revive a Pokémon in the middle of the drayton battle, and instead he one shot both the Pokémon I revived and the one I wasted the turn of.
@@snakemaster254
Sounds fun
My team was Sandslash, Illumise, Sinistcha, Cramorant, Hatterene and Ambipom, brought over from the Teal Mask. I could have bowled him over using actually good pokemon, but it felt good to strategise around him with so-called "bad" pokemon
@@NotMirrors based
I honestly did Kieran dirty. See, I had to train up my Terarium Pokemon to be even capable of handling Drayton's Elite Trial, but I went too far. Combine that with the overpowered monster that is Gardevoir, and I ended up sweeping Kieran with little difficulty thanks to her, Sceptile, Infernape, Lucario, Ogerpon, and Greninja (who didn't even get to fight him because GARDEVOIR IS OP).

I was able to beat him with Lapras, Minior, A-Exeggutor, Flygon, Golurk, and Skarmory. It took a good amount of strategy and I was even slightly underleveled. This DLC made it actually feel like the battles were challenging. It was a lot of fun.

People kept "warning" me of how Kieran's team is good and competitively viable.
I used my regular Blueberry Team and it was a challenging match (and thank God for that). Comparable to BDSP Cynthia but at least its not as BS as in BDSP's situation where you battle a very competitive League when you don't have the resources to build one without finishing main story first.
I did not save and repeated the battle twice with my Trick Room team and Prankster Tailwind team aaaaand the battle became too easy.
Also, I really, reeeeaallly like this music. It represents "Champion" Kieran to a tee.
Going into this with a new team that I had only used in the dlc story, I knew I’d be in for trouble. So I did the one thing I thought I could, brought in the Lapras I’ve had for years as a safety blanket. I relied on him so heavily and he is the only reason I got through this battle.
This is a battle that demands competence. So many other Pokémon battles in the series almost anyone could beat. If I had tried this battle as a child, I most certainly would have lost. I’m so happy to see this battle in the state that is in, it felt genuinely good to get through the battle.
One of my favorite battles in all of pokemon. My team was pretty decent and still nearly lost. All my pokemon fainted except my Araquanid, which had +3 atk and defense from my contrary superpower malamar. Once I started stacking stockpiles on my Araquanid, it was over.
This battle had me on the edge of my seat, ngl. I cheesed most of the DLC with my Dragonite I've had since my first game and a Guts Flame Orb Ursaluna that I use for raids (swords dance over belly drum all the way btw) and he managed to KO both of them. I had to juggle my other members as I used revives, and it ended up being a shiny Skarmory of mine that i named Fork that dealt the final blow in the end. Genuinely an insane fight.
(somehow fork was an mvp even though i didnt use her much. she helped out tremendously in the tough endgame battles, so all hail fork! she's coming with me to the next gens.)

ok so funny story
when he brought out hydrapple, i had only 3 pokemon left, those being flareon, clodsire and ogerpon. flareon proceeds to kamikaze flare blitz and lands a crit, deleting like 80% of his health, but she died in the process. hydrapple made quick work of clodsire too, so i was down to just ogerpon. before i let her out, though, i thought "wouldn't it be funny if kieran had special dialogue for if ogerpon gets brought out?"

Everyone's noting the competitively viable Incineroar, but I interpreted it as something else. My Starter and strongest Pokémon is a Meowscarada, a Grass/Dark cat Pokémon so my headcanon is that he trained Incineroar, a FIRE/Dark cat Pokémon as a mirror. He wanted so badly to be me, to win against me that he picked a Pokémon that's similar but different to my Starter, one that has a Type advantage.

There are two different sides when you compare Kieran in this fight and Nemona with her best team. Nemona wanted the challenge and enjoyed it regardless of the result, but Kieran didn't enjoy the fights because at the end he always losed.
That's the difference between a good sporter and a sore loser. Both are real reactions to losing. Either you still enjoyed the challenge like Nemona and move on, or you sulk in your own missery and become bitter like Kieran.
Kieran in this fight is literally a toxic player made character, he hated losing so much that he literally forced his way to the top hard enough that the rest of the Blueberry Academy actually feared him or wanted to see his downfall.
Unfortunately gf still don't understand that such battles must proceed by competitive standarts, without items in battle(except held items), and with lvl50 pokemons. Then and only then it would be hard
everyone's talking about how cool this battle was when, um. errmmm. i had a shiny trick room team. and his drizzle politoed gave my azumarill another option for destruction. i don't think any of his pokemon posed a big danger to me until the rain wore out and he got to his hydrapple. oops.
it was still a good team tho! i just already had a comp-ish team good to go. ish. i was tempted to bring ogerpon, but i didn't. azumarill sweep
英語版だとゼロの秘宝って直接エリアゼロの秘宝って言ってるのね
Carmine in the alternate timeline:
This mofo over here getting all worked up over a puny little ogre, before obliterating it with Dragonite's Hurricane even harder than Exodia obliterated Kaiba.
Dude's seriously metal at this point and it sucked to largely see him go back to the way he was at the beggining instead of just simmering down a bit and remaining an antihero when it was all said and done.
NGL, the music has that kinda vibe you’d hear in a Sonic game.
Face me, "Champion"
Kiran began acting like a competitive bigshot, so you know what? IM NOT HOLDING BACK ANYMORE. I assembled a team i have accumulated for 20 years and destroyed him. He only knocked out 2 of my pokemon.
Wait, you actually had your Pokemon KO'd?
so now you bring ogre into this "pon" bonk his last pokemon dies
*Do you wanna bad time.*
