- The Fallout TV Show on Amazon is getting rave reviews and it may just be regarded as one of the best Fallout shows of all time. Ella Purnell as Lucy knocks it out of the park. Walter Goggins as The Ghoul Steals the show. And Aaron Moten as Maximus does an amazing job rounding out the trio in his Power Armor with humor sprinkled throughout. This Xbox news today is great as Fallout is taking the internet by storm with many jumping back into the Fallout games in droves.

Walton Goggins fits so well in the Fallout universe, He's such a great actor. Not to mention the OG Paul Atreides, Kyle Maclachlan.
Everybody who is a Walt fan should go back and watch The Shield. peak acting there.

I binged the entire Fallout show yesterday. Just... Fantastic. (!) Crafted engaging story arcs that span perfectly over 8 episodes. They set up season 2 brilliantly. Will watch it all again soon.

They foreshadowed a Death Claw and Super Mutants so hopefully be in season two along with The Institute.
They are both in the show…..
But not in full capacity just skeleton of deathclaw head , super mutant poster, super mutant hand , and random figure at vault tech meeting believed to be a super mutant

I totally agree Fallout TV show is more enjoyable. Also when you consider the Last of Us show if you take out Episode 3 not sure it holds up as well.

People complaining about the show contradicting Fallout: New Vegas are misunderstanding the reference to "the fall of Shady Sands" and the nuke. They are thinking that the nuke was the fall of Shady Sands. That is incorrect. The nuke is shown after the fall. Since that is a timeline it means the nuke happened *after* the fall. The fall of Shady Sands is more akin to the fall of Rome, which took many years. We don't know when the nuke hit Shady Sands, so it doesn't contradict Shady Sands still being in Fallout: New Vegas.
Its the first time the IGN score and user review scores have aligned. And yes, it absolutely IS better than the borefest of TLoU that was more invested in pushing unwanted agendas than showcasing a compelling story.

The Last of Us is already a movie like game. I would imagine it wouldn't be as difficult to make into a series.

Especially given the worrying stuff the producers said during production. It seemed like it was going to be filled with mary sues and 'diverse' casting to the detriment of the show. It wasn't. Then again, their previous Westworld show was outstanding for the first season, then was unwatchable going forward...
a spinoff from the source material is exactly what Halo and The Last of Us needed. Fallout is telling a fresh new story with genuine characters, not some rewrite for people to nitpick. A+ on the writers and actors.
It’s a masterpiece. The story, acting and action is so compelling. It’s incredibly faithful and exciting.
Turns out when you respect the source material and the audience that made the Franchise what it is... people like that. Go figure

Bethesda missed the gold rush here by not doing a Fallout 3/4 remake in time with the show launch (like the Last of Us did). But then again you just know it would take them 25 years to make it.

Sounds good so far. I'll probably check it out. I dont watch "modern" tv anymore. I guess you can say I'm a man who just stepped out of a cryo pod from 2015, so I'm very skeptical. If there is any nonsense, I'll be turned off real quick, never to return.
I'd probably place Fallout along side TLOU. Having said that, TLOU was like primed and ready to go for a cinematic adaptation. Fallout on the other hand I thought would be nearly impossible to bring to film, but somehow, they did an overwhelmingly great job. So in that sense, FO might be the better adaptation even if it's debatable on what's the better show.
Watched two episodes... then never went back.
I was pleasantly surprised how good the show was. I watched the first episode out of boredom and ended up binging the entire season.
I went back and started a new game for FNV. Doing a New California Republic play through. Probably do a brotherhood of steel with Fallout 3. I sided with the brotherhood in fallout 4 when it came out.
Yup, I saw the whole season last weekend.. Havent played any of the Fallout games yet but the sgow was frikkin aweaome!

I had low expectations going in after the mess Amazon made of the rings of power. But I had a lot of fun watching fallout. Actually wanted more episodes. Season 2 looks to be even better, Viva New

Hey Destin. FALLOUT is so good 👍. I keep saying that I'm going to watch the HALO series but have yet to do it. Not sure when you'll see these comments but I watched this video on Saturday and Sunday (which is today) I has too see why you said what said and OMG you're so right. This show is GREAT! I just finished the 1st episode and I'm loving what I've seen.
I binge-watched the whole series twice in a row in less than four days. I've never done that in my life before so yes, I'd say the show is amazing!
I'm not even that big a fan of the games, I find the survival elements a bit tedious and I prefer The Elder Scrolls. But I've always liked Fallout's universe so this series is really satisfying.
In comparison, I can recognize that HBO's TLOU is a great adaptation, but it was a chore to watch because it's just a depressing drama draped in a post-apocalyptic setting, there's no real sense of mystery or adventure. Which ironically is precisely what every TLOU fans boast about when defending their precious IP... "It's not about the infection, it's about the characters!1!" lol
Fallout is giving us interesting and well fleshed-out characters AND a mysterious story (even for the gamers!) that keeps us guessing the whole time.
I loved watching this show. Great writing and captured the dark-humor that I've enjoyed in the games.
Im player of Fallout 1 and 2 (not finished), and finishing 3. Never play 4 yet and just trying New Vegas for a while. Not too familiar with the lore of course, hence why cant judge how faithful the tv show is but Im enjoy the show currently (Binge it and at episode 4 now) and always enjoy the game Im manage to play.

It's alright in a good way.. I was expecting a bit more.. but It's reasonable. I kept me interested and I want to watch more.. so.. it's a good show.. just not as great as I expected it to be. I tought they'd show more of the pre bombing in the 1st season but apparently it will be like those shows where they show you glimpses of the past thorough the whole series. Walton taking the show on his shoulders though.. The girl not so much. I found her a bit hit and miss when they try to make you care about her.. LOL I swear I called her DUMBASS on her actions but hey.. she'll learn the hardway.
I hope they make it better and better.. and I hope they are not afraid (due to budget) to go deep into the details of the story.

I'm knew a little more about Fallout than TLOU going in, but I've only ever played a little bit of FO3 and never touched a TLOU game.

I wouldn't worry about the viewing figures of both shows if I were you. As long as you enjoy the shows that's all that should matter.

There is a small subsect of the Fallout fandom that thinks the only Fallout game is New Vegas. Everything else is garbage, and if you enjoyed it, you're also garbage. It's a small group, probably 10% or so.
Fallout 76 is a great opportunity to play with friends. It's not the same as the single player RPGs, and was never intended to be, but it is a fun sandbox for co-op. It also has a great community. F76 is worthy of time spent. Much more than say, Destiny 2.
It was mostly the PlayStation fanboys that got mad over you saying fallout was better than the last of us they hate if anything even remotely has anything to do with Xbox is better than anything that has to do with PlayStation

While I don't think it's better than the Last of Us, I do agree it's fantastic ... I also watched the first six the first night, and then the rest as soon as I woke up in the morning. They knocked it out of the park. Btw, how great is streaming TV right now? House of the Dragon, the Last of Us, Shogun, Constellation, and now Fallout.

I have no idea why Microsoft/Bethesda didn't hire a team to remake Fallout 3 and New Vegas in Unreal Engine 5. Let the team fix the combat/animations for modern day. Not only do you get a remake, it can be a test run for Bethesda games in Unreal Engine.
UE is not made to handle games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls. You can hate the Creation engine all you want, it was tailored specifically to Bethesda's needs, which is the ability to handle a ridiculously high amount of data in memory about every single object's persistant location in the game.
@@ParadoxalDream Also remakes of open world games this large and dense is no small job, even if they were to recreating them in Creation Engine 2 from Gamebryo, let alone UE5. The animation systems, physics, assets, models/geometry, etc... would need to be rebuilt. I do think it'd be worth doing, but not by a Microsoft internal studio who could instead by working on something new. They could contract out to a 3rd party studio specialized in remasters, like Bluepoint, Nixxes, Vicarious Visions (before Blizzard acquired them), among others.
@ParadoxalDream what year are you in? Unreal Engine supports open world now. Why do you think CDPR switched to Unreal? In case you didn't know, Unreal is far ahead of Creation Engine now.
@@Velly2g We’ve seen no proof yet of UE5’s ability to handle large systemic open worlds at the scale of the biggest devs, especially not on current generation hardware. Rockstar, Ubisoft, Bethesda, Kojima, Guerilla all use custom in-house engines, even Nintendo for BotW & FromSoft for Elden Ring. CDPR will be the first real test and it’s still just a pipe dream.
@@tronam You don't understand the business of gaming. All those companies pay a 30% commission to Sony/Microsoft/Steam to have their games on those platforms. They do NOT want to pay a extra 5% commission to use a outside engine so they use their own. Microsoft doesn't have to pay that 30% fee, 90% of Microsoft studios use Unreal Engine. CDPR met with the Unreal team and then decided to switch.. 343 just switched..
If you have a game engine that you use for multiple games like major publishers do, it makes sense to keep that engine. If you have a engine for ONE GAME, maybe you should consider switching over to SAVE money.
