Bullying is really, really awful today. Many people my age don't get why young people break down over bullying. They'll say, "well I was bullied in school and I didn't lose it." The thing is, everything is progressive. Fifty years ago bullying was one thing, but today it has progressed and it's a lot worse, especially with social media.

@@izzydeadyet7336 same I’m ADHD af and caught hell in school from teachers and kids it blew. Being removed from school was the best thing about it. Once I finally decided to try to go to college at 22yrs old and finally medicated I was all of the sudden brilliant and got very good grades. I loved every moment and managed to do this as a pretty severe opiate/heroin addict. Eventually H caught up to me but that’s another story and it took a long time to do so which is not most people’s case. 100% do NOT reccomend H (though it’s not too likely you’d actually find it now days anyway)

Looking them in their eyes apologizing I had tears . Im not sure if other bullies / a holes went through trauma but sometimes there’s a reason kids lash out .

The whole gun thing remains ridiculous to anyone that isn't indoctrinated by American culture. If you want protection from the government, your little handgun isn't gonna help you, so that part of the conversation doesn't make a lick of sense anno 2024 as opposed to in 1791 when the constitution was written. If you feel like you need to protect yourself from gun carrying criminals, the main reason they carry themselves is because it's extremely easy to legally require a gun and they feel the need to protect themselves just as much as you do.
In places like Germany, France, the Netherlands and even the United Kingdom, gun related homicides are 30 times as unlikely compared to the U.S. The majority of policeman in the UK don't even carry a firearm, because they rarely ever have to contend with someone carrying a firearm.
The data is in, folks. If you're able to reason logically in any capacity, you should vote against the legal possession of firearms.

My dad put me in boxing and within 3 month of training i went back to the bus stop and fought the kid again and got the cops called on me. Best day of my life. Doing drugs will ruin your writing. If you really like writing, and you’d like it to go anywhere, keep them separate.
The acts do not facilitate eachother.

    • @janinesnyder8250
      @janinesnyder8250 2 години тому

Because doing drugs isn’t usually a unique perspective everyone is trying to hear about, so don’t start there.
Junkies get high and scribble out drivel all day long. Some even create their own languages, or solve complex problems only they understand.
It is not special. It is not marketable. It is not something you want to cultivate.
Keep the writing separate, and you might come out with something worthwhile. Someday.

This scares me so much. I have a (great) nephew with autism and his Mom is absolutely horrible at supporting him and only makes things worse. He's bullied at school, has other mental health issues and isn't in the therapy he needs to be in. He's been in and out of psych wards and he has access to guns. I worry so much he's going to make the wrong choice some day and unfortunately there isn't a thing I can do. He just got out of another psych ward and instead of going home hes moving in with his grandpa and changing schools. But, IDK that will be enough and he'll still probably have access to guns. I am all for the 2A but some kids absolutely should not be around them at all and he's one of those kids. I hope and pray this change will be enough but if he ends up doing something crazy I'm not going to be surprised. I feel very sorry for him, he shouldn't face the bullying he has, he has legitimate mental health issues and his mom is totally unstable but I just pray it doesn't end up hurting other innocent kids as well.

This is (not the only reason) but one reason why.. you should always just be nice to everyone if possible.. you never know what someone is going though.. idk how people can be mean to others. I was bullied growing up, even my closest friends that I grew up with since 5 years old all used to gang up on me and make fun of me and called me "emo" and "depressed" at 8 years old.. well I wouldn't have been sad if they didn't gang up on me and laugh and make fun of me lol... Now I can look back and just laugh and just say whatever.. but I never wanted to hurt or retaliate. At that young age (I'm not gonna go into detail) but when you go though certain things.. and you don't have a support system, you learn to disconnect and just stop having feelings and good and bad things just have no emotional affect on you. I'm sure some people know what I'm talking about. As I got older... And never learned how to deal with feelings, I turned to substances.. worst decision I ever made. Now I'm in recovery almost 2 years sober and I learned how to process emotions and open up and trust people. Took a long time to let those walks down but when you eventually do trust someone and know that they won't laugh or hurt you or tell everyone your business.. it's such a relief. If you're going through anything... ANYTHING, just please know It doesn't last forever. Bad times are temporary, and you are worth it. No matter what you've been told, how down and worthless you feel... YOU ARE perfect the way you are and don't let anyone tell you differently.

Very happy and proud that he was able to catch himself before it was too late. I just wonder what would have happened if he (or anyone else in a similar situation), wasn't able to receive help and had access to a gun whilst in that dark place.

Stay on the right path Kenneth. Looks like you are surrounded by the right people and on a better path. Don't let them steal your shine, people who bully are miserable and misery loves company.. fuck them! Take what you've learned, and focus on the positive.

For some reason, it’s impressive that he’s never done any hard drugs. Please keep it that way. If no one ever told you, you are doing a good job at something… and that’s staying clean.

I do think anger is an important emotion to go thorough however. Suppressed and repressed anger is even worse I believe and not acknowledging it. Anger protects and justifies when your boundaries are constantly crossed and your hurt. I have righteous anger I’m dealing with and I’m welcoming it for a time. I know I will eventually forgive as that’s what my religion calls me to do but I’m no longer going to suppress my anger as before.

My son gave up basketball and karate to continue to be a part of band. Band is hard work, takes a lot of practice etc. Being outside practicing routines in 100 degree heat with 80 percent humidity. They started practicing 3 weeks before school started. Early mornings, late evenings. Going to games then getting up early to travel 3 hours to competitions. It was brutal. He did not have time for all 3. He graduated 5th in his class of 350 so academics were important to him. He started marching with the high school band in 7th grade. He told me that some of the best people he has ever met was in band. In our area the band kids were not the super popular ones (I am sure it is different in other areas of the country) The kids were close and were very accepting of each other. Sometimes the kids labeled as "geeks or nerds or weirdos are the most genuine ones. Of course there are exceptions to the rules.

Marc is a very smart interviewer. Writing sounds like an excellent outlet/emotional channel route, as well as an admirable art form. Anger is a normal emotion, surely seeing a therapist is helpful in discerning if the hate is worth your effort, do not stop going. That haircut looks fun, unfortunately, certainly it's a verbal target from others. One of Marcs former interviewees had given an account, something named like "Nobody really cares" where he explained that if you shaved your head and went to a supermarket where they didn't know you, they do not share the feeling of newness that you would. Perhaps a trim will aid you in fitting into an automobile, but chose your kings wisely, Fear and Loathing to Maine could pigeon hole you into a reality that you may find fun, but it is also very risky. Good luck young soul, you seem really cool.

You said to him “you were just telling me what you remember fighting about. Not taking a side”
    And he said “okay. Yeah”
This is why I watch your videos mark. Because I was that kid who couldn’t sort out reality without taking a side.
Your work is instrumental and I hope to god you can keep it up as long as you want.

Seems like a good kid that needs some guidance, A support structure outside his parents. Positive masculine investment like an uncle. The reason we all must strive for self improvement is to be supportive to others.

I have always taught my daughter to treat everyone with kindness as you dont know their struggles .This kid would have been one of the reasons. This hurts my heart for what he went through... and luckily.. he didnt get his hands on a weapon.
