Because of you I am using roux
Same here
@Liam Avellana no, why?
@Liam Avellana oh, I didn't remember XD
Cool trick. I do the same thing for DR influencing, but for SB Pairs, if I don't like my first pair (or see the next pair is bad), I influence. Otherwise, I solve the pair as it is. Will try incorporating this trick more. Seems handy. Do agree though, forcing this always is going to be a bad habit. Doing this in moderation, is key.
I dont use roux but ill still watch:)
Nice!!! My FB and SB are so slow compared to the rest of my solves. This will definitely help! Thanks Kian
This was very helpful. Thank you!
From sub 1 min in november to sub 17 in february
So help ful! Thank u
Agreed. Focusing solely on EO would be just like using the Petrus method. That's not necessarily a bad thing, just a different method.
Thanks bro its helpfull
very useful
I might actually not use this as I have no idea how to do OH. This one seems to be too advanced for me to digest all the information. Might have to look into this video another time. Nice video!
that's super interesting! excellent video, as always!
it's a little above my level, so it's def. going to take me some time to understand it fully.
Kian, if you happen to have time at some point, it'd be super helpful if you can do a video with some more examples of this. also how to notice when they're misoriented?
I feel like I'm behind a lot of people because I never did CFOP. I'm finally getting started learning one-look CMLL, at least.
It's not so much about knowing whether it's misoriented or not. The point of the video is that edge orientation shouldn't be your main consideration when deciding between R or Rw moves, as many people assume it to be. In reality, what helps you decide which move to do is looking ahead to the 2 different pairs you can produce by doing each move, which is usually independent of EO and can only be analysed on a case-by-case basis. It does turn out to be that the oriented edge cases are better than misoriented (on average, maybe 70% of the time), but it's not enough to justify blindly orienting everything.

thanks for replying; this was super helpful. I went through some solves, and watched the video again, and it all makes sense, now.
I'm still terrible at 2nd block, so it's going to take me a while to incorporate it, but I think this will help a lot.
YAS
lmao i might actually try to practice this/integrate it into my solves pretty soon
:antoboye:
Hi Kian! Nice video. I actually just started practicing this like 2 days because i feel like my misoriented edges in SB are making me turn so slow in OH. Also random question: have you tried OH pushups while OHing a cube?
I have tried that, but didn't have much success with it. I always fall over when doing OH pushups, can't seem to figure out how to balance properly
@@Kian_Mansour I'm not a gym expert, but i think all you have to do is separate your feet a decent distance. If you're strong enough, then strength should compensate for the balance. i'm gonna train myself for this :) . my PB is still 1
Im sub 22 with roux after a month and i use 2 look cmll and I have a really good fb like 9 moves or less and my look ahead is decent I dont know what im doing wrong for sub 20.
now im sub 18
