great docu style video alex! one cool thing i would've like to have seen was you doing a roux example solve near the beginning , middle and end of the month to show how you've improved in terms of efficiency finger tricks and algs learnt otherwise top tier video!
Great video! I once switched to roux for a while too, but I didn't get that fast even though it was even longer than one month, so what you did is really impressive. Now I might think of doing that again
Great vid. I really like the idea of going back in time & redoing the cube journey. I think I'll give Roux a shot! Thanks for the inspiration!
Really nice editing on this video! And im very surprised you learnt it so quickly. :D
Holy shit the storytelling is actually nuts, like the how theres more and more cubes coming in on the day counter symbolizing how you got into cubing. Good job!
Wow Alex, good job!!!!!
What you put in your mine, you will do it!!!!!
Love it!!
Congratulations!!!
Super vidéo. Tu m’as motivé à commencer Roux, je me lassais un peu de CFOP
Bro, just found out your channel and exploring and it is just EPIC! New sub :)
Wow this is was a really cool challenge and you did a great job with the video too.
I mainly do CFOP, but Roux is definitely a really good method, and it is very fun. I'm glad you had fun learning Roux.
I love your videos because they are always inspiring! Which cube did you like best for roux solving?
Thanks!!
I liked using the tornado v3 (the m slices were pretty heavy though), the Moretry Tianma, and the rs3m super. If I had to pick one for roux, I would pick the Tianma
This was a really well made video!!
Btw you can easily become sub-15 if you just get good at lse haha.
sub 12 roux user here, great job progressing through learning the method! Your blockbuilding is nice
Great video and editing! After seeing this you’ve inspired me to try the same thing! I have done about 100 solves with Roux over like the last year so I have a bit of an idea. Also, did you learn full Cmll? And do you mind if I make a video of my progression for a month like this? If I post it on YT I’ll definitely give you credit!
Cool!
I started learning full CMLL, but I haven’t finished it yet. I think I’ve learnt a little more than half of the algorithms.
Yea you can post a video on your progression! I’d love to check it out once it comes out :)
cfop cuber, tried to learn roux before and I gave up immediately after I saw the example solves lol, but now I think I'll take a try.
Roux is more fun . Impressive to see how fast you improved
Yesterday I was actually thinking about your channel and when you would make a video. I think you have a great potential to become a big cubing UA-camr
I started roux back on covid 19 home quarantine times, within that time i can consistently do sub 10 solves and can definitely say that it's easier to learn than cfop
Awesome!!!
besides the block trainer, any other tips on improving blocks?
ur so cool i wish i could solve like u do and make vids like urs
Insane video Quality
Great video! Keep trying it. You’ll get there. Puss in boots! Yeah!
Dude has been using several cubes throughout his journey.
U have the cubehead mat drip
Do the same thing with FreeFOP, i average low 12/ hig 11 with it.
*shows a clip on Sean villanueva* “all of these people use cfop”
Now I'm curious if you could do this all again but with Petrus. Still in one month using a new method you get sub 20, is really impressive.
Let's join the rouxvolution
💪
Cool
bro can you tell me,where did you get speedcube method for every method like cfop or roux
Hi, next do a month with ZZ pls. Also all the tutorials are outdated. Now we do EO cross then cfop
Now since you’ve masteredboth cfop and roux you should go back to cross -1 and make it even better
Hey you can make this a series with diffent methods like aBP Mehta ZZ CFCE and more
Amazing how i wish i could solve that one new friend here
Just wow
W
Called Rubik’s cube BTW good video
Sending support from Korea
I trued learning roux and all O can do is build blocks and I don’t understand it, I still want to learn it
If you need help, Kian Mansour has some great tutorials on his UA-cam channel.
Why don’t you use the Tornado V3? Do you really think the V2 is better? The V3 is incredibly good, and I’d be surprised if it’s predecessor is better.
The V3 is a great cube, and I would main it if I hadn’t just gotten the ys3m (which is great btw). I just like going back to the V2 sometimes. Despite being its predecessor, the V3’s feel is noticeably different when compared to the v2 (which isn’t a bad thing). So every now and then I like going back to the V2, and for some reason my CH V2 is really good lol. But yeah, the V3 is better, and it is the cube I recommend as of rn (might change with the ys3m, but I just got it so I’m not sure yet)
High school junior gang!!! Great job btw! I just discovered this channel and I am loving your content. I average 13-11 with cfop and I have to say that I love watching your videos while I do my averages. I think you do a great job being professional with your content and it’s the think I’ve been missing with cubing videos. Thanks for being an inspiration for me to cube!!
Thanks!! It means a lot to hear that people are inspired by my content! Good luck on your cubing journey!!
Hey Alex I have some kinda request cause your video about zz and roux was magnificent Im gonna ask you to do something like them for Abp method
Thanks a lot
Your fan Harrison Hoxley ❤️💜
@@CubingWithAlex well that's really cool
so I'm just waiting for you to do your thing 🔥
Its funny how failing reminds us of why we started at all
I could never use Roux coz holy hell I can never do a smooth M move
I have been cubing for like 7 or 8 months, and when I was averaging around 16 seconds with cfop, I was like, "hmm, why don't I try roux?" and I did, and now after a couple of months, I am averaging 16 seconds with roux. Once I am finished learning full cmll, I am sure that I can get to sub 15. Knowing both methods helped me to get method neutral for cfop/roux. Being method neutral definitely has its benefits, like not getting bored of cubing, and also it can help you take advantage of good scrambles. I recently got my new pb of 8.61, starting with roux, and once I finished the blocks, the cross edges were solved so I switched to cfop mid solve and it got me my pb. Anyways, great video!
On a cube racing app i just raced against a roux solver he was avg 15-20 seconds and i was about the same on cfop fresh from waking up i won because i got a lucky 11 solve not oll skip
Sean Patrick Villaneuva doesn't do cfop
Revorouxtion
Try ZZ for 31 days next time ?
can u give me tips on cfop because i average mid 30s and high 30s and i cant get better i try try but i cant do anything to get faster i have f2l 12 sec pll and oll together 10 sec cross 5 sec
Your cross takes too long, you should make sure your cross solutions are efficient and you plan the whole cross in inspection
@@adasmi5 yea still if it was 3 seconds it still would be slow of a solve I want to be sub 20
@@L_CUBES First improve your cross, then work on F2L and/or learn full PLL if you don't know it yet. Good cross, decent F2L and full PLL should let you be sub20
How are y’all not subscribed yet
How did you get sub 20 so fast?!?! Tell me your secrets.
"so i guess you can say i did a lttle building off camera"
well, you technically did a little *block* building off camera :)
i've been learning megaminx plls for the last month lol avg 2:17 pb of 1:42. aparently 56 plls in total
as a sub-55 solver, dont recommend to learn so many plls so soon, i know at most like 35 plls and i have a 50.36 official avg, focus on star, f2l and s2l efficiency first, but if you want to learn plls first, that's your thing, stay on it :D
Great video! Don’t mean to be mean but you do a lot of that ackward “ eh hm hm “ laugh a lot 😂😂
I also want to learn roux can you pls tell the tutorials from where you learnt it?
@@CubingWithAlex Thanks, I also watched Kian mansour tutorials But it would be very nice if you can give me the link of the videos
Since I am bored from CFOP and sometimes I get really bad times with it so, I want to get sub-20 with roux in 1 month :)
Alex, also how you made your first and second block efficient? Since I take around freaking 15 seconds to complete my first and second block only :( I dont know how to make my blocks efficient :(
after seeing this vide i start to think i am bad at cubing and want to give up, bro in month got roux sub 20/15 and i cant do cfop sub 20 for so long dam
It just takes time and consistency. I’m sub-13 with CFOP, so I was able to get sub-20 with roux pretty easily due to many of my CFOP skills crossing over to roux. It took me like 4 years to become sub-20 with CFOP (due to me taking many long breaks). The best advice I can give you is to just keep practicing and don’t give up!
@@CubingWithAlex glad i am not the only one who struggle with getting sub 20 i solve for like 10 months idk if i am solving good for how long i cube
Improve your LSE and cmll recognition a bit more, and sure you can get sub 10 and beyond!
You aren’t supposed to try your roux silly, you’re supposed to start your gumbo with it
I have used roux for 1.5 yes. And he is already at my level 😢
What i gathered:
Roux is good for PB's.
Roux is for the intelligent but lazy, those who refuse to learn and blindly grind 100s of algorithms to get faster solves.
bruh i average 27 - 50 secs at roux😅😅😅

ZZ method Petrus method Corners First method Blindfolded method Heise method Layer By Layer method FMC method? Belt Method Ribbon Method oNe SiDe aT A tImE CFCE

“Yesterday I took the SAT, then I did some school 😂“ life of the student cuber. Great video! You are like a really amazing editor and great storyteller, and I could tell that went into this one.
