I think you should try to report the warehouse, if they’re not trying to suspend holiday pays, then they should close the warehouse for the holidays, why? Cause it’s all about the fairness, and it’s unfair that people who have families who need to spend time with and they had to miss it due to work during a holiday. So my main point is that, try to talk to the state or something? Hopefully what I said helped.
I need some help here. I work for a management office as an admin in a residential building. The employer who hired me told me that they do pay holiday pay but the HR from the employer asked me if I worked OT I said no. And on Memorial day I did work 10-7 my normal hours, but the management office was fully closed because maintenance and building manager are off due to the holiday. So I need to know if HR need to pay me holiday if worked based off what I was told that they do pay holidays? I worked 96 regular hours but on of the regular hours was on memorial day.
Thank you for making this video. I’m hoping someone can help me find the answer to this question. I calculate my employees salary as an hourly equivalent. When calculating holidays exempt salary employees have off, do I subtract the hours, or add the hours actually worked when calculating the salary? What is the standard for this method? Does the same rule apply to PTO?
In the UK Christmas Day and Easter Sunday retail shops must close (they don’t have a choice by law) we get 20 day plus 8 bank holidays as a minimum holiday entitlement which is law but must employers give at least 25 plus 8 bank holidays and that is rising as it’s becoming much more competitive. I find it shocking the rubbish amount of holiday US employees get. Also bank holidays in the UK are always on a weekday and if the holiday falls on a weekend they are moved to the closest Monday for example Christmas Day is on Sunday 25th so the official Bank Holiday will be Monday 26th. This is to ensure that people who don’t work weekends are given the full 28 days annual entitlement which is required by law.
the warehouse notifies us that startig 2023 no more holiday pay will be made. it's a big company. D--- -----L what can i do?
