  • On this episode at Inspiration Nation HQ we're back on our SEMA project and installing D2 coilovers on the 1988 Chrysler Conquest TSI (Starion). These coilovers require a little more DIY and we'll be showing you all the steps you'll need to get your ride road worthy. My D2s just arrived today and this video is exactly what I needed. I have a really clear idea of how to get the job done now thanks to you guys. Thanks so much! Subbed to keep up with the progress on your build too.

When you lower the Conquest, the front control arm ends up pointing up, so the camber curve starts to suck and it understeers even worse. Go get you one of the T3 roll center correctors. It's a spacer between the steering arm w/ the lower ball joint and the spindle on the strut. It leaves the ride height alone, but corrects the control arm geometry. (I am not affiliated w/ T3)

Those sleeves are zinc coated. You'll want to wire wheel off the zinc coating near your welds to avoid inhaling anything harmful. I ended up just removing all the zinc and painting the whole thing once I was done. Also it was pretty difficult to find new bearings/nuts/lock washers/cotter pins for the hub so be careful while removing all that.

Whats up, Barry! It's Erik, Paul's GT4 tuner. This project is SICK! I've always loved the Conquest TSI. It's going to be a bad mofo with an LS2 under the hood! If you ever need help from me in regards to the tuning/electrical side, hit me up. I'll message you my contact info on tiktok.

Are you doing new wheels for your BBK? I'm looking for a BBK for my conquest but I want to keep the stock wheels, I guess I'm a glutton for punishment lmao
