No Sir Frank Worrell Windies opening batsman and fast medium pacer? How about Bernard Julien, Keith Boyce and Joseph (Joe) Solomon? I will throw in David Halford while I am at it.
Did you guys hear about BERNARD JULIEN. Well he opened bowling W.I. along with Keith Boyce. Also bowled back of the hand stuff. He made one test century that I can recall. Held some brilliant catches and was dubed the next sobers. In my view he should be in the top six.
Vanburn Holder , Sir Iaac Vivian Alexander Richards ( although the great one kept his bowling mainly for One Dayers ), even Rohan Kanhai was probably a better All Rounder than Bloody Roger Harper . Bernard Julien and Keith Boyce were both Victims of World Series Cricket . I seem to recall Malcolm Marshall scoring a Test Century against India back in the Early 80's .

My top 10 would have Keith Boyce and Bernard Julien. Here we go:- Sobers > Walcott > Hooper > Gomez > Collie Smith > Keith Boyce > Bravo > Constantine > Bernard Julien > Harper Honorable mention: Eldine Baptiste/Sammy/Collis King
You are absolutely correct. Though these players couldn't make our top 10, they were definitely handy with the ball, and all of them had a golden arm. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

This is one category that the West Indies has struggled with. I too have struggled to come up with many alternatives. If I had to choose I would add Malcolm Marshall he was nice with the bat and I believe he was a couple of test fifties. Franklyn Stevenson comes to mind but he never made it in the West Indies test team. Bernard Julien and Gayle were decent as well. I didn't like the Harper selection but if you added his fielding to the mix. I can't hate on it as he top draw when it comes to fielding. David Holford wasn't bad either.
Thank you for your feedback and your insightful comment. Malcolm Marshall was definitely a good lower order batsman. Who would you replace for Harper on this top 10?
