Sometimes when I listen to RM speaking, I forget that he’s still in his twenties because what he says is always deep, philosophical and thoughtful, which is rare for someone his age. BTS couldn't have had a better leader. We all can see that he was born to be one, anyway.

I’m not namjoon but I taught myself English when I was a kid because I was frustrated because I couldn't sing neither understand the English songs I liked
But It didn't felt like studying I actually enjoyed it

Sometime people think Armys love BTS because of their look/visual, they don’t even give BTS a chance to listen to them. They don’t realize that BTS is much more than that.... more than just a boy band. They are inspirational.

RM has two mixtapes, the second one "Mono" is made to be listened as a whole, RM said so himself. It's a masterpiece. It would be cool if you could listen to it and record your reaction in one sitting, it's the best experience ever! It's important to experience it as whole. You can cut it and upload on UA-cam as several videos.

I mentioned in one of your videos that my teenage dtr is in the dark place because of identity crisis and she and I watched this video together. She has been happier and communicates with me more more often. It’s a long process but I know we’ll get there with family support, therapist and BTS.

This speech was like nothing I’ve heard amazing. This why RM BTS leader. Leader of best group in world. I have that shirt with what he wrote my boss boss asked who RM is he amazed. I cried when I saw this live was May 2018 I believe. He truly amazing he wrote himself he went through a lot all guys have. They are face UNICEF Youth Against Violence so proud I’m ARMY for sure

I forget where I saw/heard/read this but someone had said that BTS and their popularity in the US is partially due to RM. He's their face so to speak as group leader and had to field the unknown world that they were dropped into which was even harder because he's the only one fluent in English (at that time). He handled the pressure with such grace and dignity that it's hard not to imagine him being a leader since he's very natural but charismatic. Once you get to know them more you'll be able to see how much the others really do respect and love him. It's funny because the boys have said in behind the scenes clips that RM is the one who SEEMS the most put together when out in public but when they're at the dorm he's a bit of a hot mess. He has a brilliant mind but doesn't know how to boil water or cut onions.
Edit: They also did this presentation in the middle of a world wide tour so that's even more stress added on but he did so well.
I have seen that speech for like a hundred times. It always give me encouragement and motivation to move forward irregardless. Watch their preparation as well. It’s a long video so you can watch it on your own, you would see RM wrting his speech and practisinh it from korea flight to US and how his members support and adores him. Ugghh i love them so much! 💜💜 if only I can tell them how they have saved my life twice.

Watching coverage of this speech on a news channel started my discovery of BTS. As a then 56 yr old woman in US, I was blown away by how this young man from across the world could speak words that touch my heart so deeply. Kim Namjoon’s speech touched on the same feelings that I experienced in my lifetime & experienced again watching my child trying to navigate this world that can be cruel, difficult & unforgiving at times. This speech lead me to become ARMY. Every step in my journey to learn more about these 7 multitalented multidimensional artists has been a blessing I never expected to have but one I desperately needed. Like so many others in ARMY, I found BTS when I needed them most & I will be forever grateful to the powers that be who made this intersection of paths occur. This speech happened in 9/18 & marked the beginning of me rediscovering myself & realizing that even tho my life is spend caring for others I love, I must remember & know it’s ok to love myself. God bless BTS & all who they have helped & who love them back in return also known as ARMY. I’m proud to stand beside my ARMY family & support the legendary artists of BTS 💜😌

I, myself, have only been listening to BTS for a short period of time and I've just literally fallen in love with each and every one of them. For me the goal is not to be a better person, but be a more developed person. I was only able to start loving past and present self by acknowledging that I wasn't bad, I just didn't understand something, or didn't have necessary help, or was just a child, and it would be stupid to think that I was a worse person just because I was a child. So the goal is to continue personal development to be able to understand more and to act more effectively.
BTS has helped me to uncover hidden memories and to keep sanity while dealing with it. I still struggle with depression and try to grasp my name, which I think I've finally found. It has to be embodied, just finding it is not enough. BTS have embodied their names into our world. Let's walk in their footsteps.

I had so much pride and pain watching this speech. I've seen it many times. On my own and in reactions. His words were/are beautiful, powerful and filled with so much conviction, even while he was nervous and his hands shook. His voice did not. He reached so many hearts and helped them with these words.
I cried the first time I watched this. It hit really hard and close.

Been watching you for a week now and i love that you're starting to understand what most people can't. I think you're starting to see why they have such a huge, loyal, hardworking and protective fanbase. They're not the average boyband with rabid screaming fangirls (that's what other people like to believe). They've touched ARMYs lives in different ways and most of us found them in our most trying times. Some were even close to ending everything but changed their minds when they heard their music and their warm messages. I was one of those whose life they touched with their Love Myself message, tho i've been an army since 2017. For ARMYs, BTS is more than just pretty idols with catchy songs and sick choreography. If you watch the behind the scene video when BTS and staff were discussing about the preparation for this speech at the beginning of the clip, the comments from RM and Suga are so moving when they talked about ARMY. All the reason for us to love and respect them so much more.
Singer Max talked one time that Army, BTS fans, can detect sincerity. And I think that what is around Bts and Army. Sincerity touch people's heart, with music as the catalyst.

Fun fact: Some of the lines he said in his speech are lyrics to their songs! like "Intro: O?RUL8,2?" (Oh? are you late, too?), "Idol", "anpanman" and "Answer: Love Myself"
Back in 2018, that moment i feel empty and my life have done. At that time if i can donate my soul to cancer patient i will give my soul.
But like army said, BTS will find you in the most time you need them. Soon after i discover them i love my life again, i love my self because i am still breathing, and its enough.
But I still have no passion or dream so i took my childhood dream to visit Japan. Then i am saving and in 2019 i am holiday to Japan . Back from Japan i set goal to other country on 2020 and saving again. this is make me feel alive again.
But then pandemi around the world, i cant go to that country but the saving save my life since the economy drop and i only get 25% of my salary from my work.
At this point BTS literally safe my life.
i hope you can watch the bangtan bomb that shows them preparing for this speech! it's so touching that their schedule is so busy but he did so well.

No need to apologize I'm actually really happy you watched this video. As a Mom of a gay daughter and sister to a gay brother this speech almost always brings me to tears. Because no matter your skin color, your gender identity, we all have the same color blood man. And that is what really matters.
