Brilliant video. Great drone work. Attractive GP 38-2 loco - of the Indiana Eastern Railroad. Snow scenes on the flatlands yet with awesome trestles too. Thanks Scott, for braving the cold to capture and share this great video with us!
One of the most beautiful video ever love the drone footage and over the bridges Need to postcards out of this railroad line This is why I love short railroads !!!!!! Protecting these pieces of railroad history
great stuff, scott !!! we do not see many, if ANY, gp 38-2's in high hood attire !!! btw, i model the bprr from buffalo ny to just north of pittsburgh pa, where car hand-off goes to the avr ( allegheny valley rr/ carload express/swp) all owned by the same company... anyway, your ier has a paint scheme pretty close to them. any connection as tons of rr's own other smaller lines ? keep the videos coming, scott !!!
Who's line was that the Indiana Eastern runs on ??? Ex C&O ??? There are lot of Colorful Shortline Railroads in both Indiana and Ohio Awesome Video Scott Keep up the Great work 👍
With both crewmen on the ground, one can see the engineer on the right-hand side, which indicates this is a long nose forward engine. The IE roster states this is a former NS nee Southern engine built in 1979, which makes perfect sense re the long nose forward. The return trip shows he's running long nose forward thus correctly because the signals are all placed on the right-hand side. Good stuff. Never liked high hoods and I worked as a brakeman on some that were short nose forward [SP]. They were usually worn out beat up Alcos's.
Quite the lone and in pretty decent shape The low drone angles at that plant were great with the piping and old buildings. Great view on that long trestle. If they don't have a nickname it should be "Route of the Crossbuck"
