Yeah and not to mention if it wasn’t done his way to protect her it was the highway for everyone. He was almost as pathetic and selfishly deranged as Dagan was. Blinded by his anger and his fear that his goals where the only thing that mattered and nobody has a say in it…not even his own daughter.

When i first met Bode in the game I knew something was off about him. And as I played more relying on his assists to save me from peril I grew to trust him a lot and the game went and pulled this shit. I was not prepared for it and this game did its job very well
I always knew bode was a piece of shit. I mean he just waltz right in, acts all friendly and unsuspecting even though he doesn’t know cal and decides to help without expecting anything in return?
I didn't trust Bode from the get go. He was too eager to join up (despite not being paid after the initial mission), and he was so sentimental about his daughter I thought he was lying about her existence. BUT... this game whittled my doubts down over the course of the game and I started to question my first opinions of him. When my concerns were at their lowest, this shit happened. Broke my heart, the twist threw me completely off (he took Dagan Gera's lightsaber & it never occurred to me!), and Cal had to lose another dear friend with one of the coldest double taps I've ever seen. This game was phenomenal.
Lovely sequence but am I the only one who notices how bad are explosions particles and generally the whole blaster shots effects hitting through Bode model during the chase and generally not even causing dust to raise up in bigger clouds after shots

If you look at the grenade, it's the Impact Grenade model from Star Wars Battlefront 2. If you haven't used one before, you might think it's powerful. It's surprisingly weak of you don't hit your target dead-on. So it's not a big stretch that Cal survived.
Bode has Dagan's lightsaber, so technically Dagan was the 3rd orange saber. Interestingly, the orange crystal seems to come about through bleeding one's own crystal wheras bleeding another crystal owned by another Jedi is where the deep red comes from... maybe the crystal (assuming its his own that he picked and bonded with in the beginning of his training) remembers its owner and has a little hope that they haven't fully lost themselves? A lot to unpack there
@@cyka7705 they more than likely bleed their lightsaber crystal. After all, he was studying the dark side in dathomir and becoming more corrupted by it.

I knew it. I keep thinking something isn’t right about him. He’s goofy and mysterious and hiding something. Good acting btw
I started to think something was off right before the Dagan fight, and it only grew the closer I got to the Empire's invasion, and when he betrayed Cal, I thought that was all there was to it, only for me to be flabbergasted when he pushed Cal away with the Force, it might not be the best, but as far as twists go, this one sure was executed well.
When he stated that everything he was doing was solely to protect his daughter... As a parent you'd literally do anything to keep them safe.
And this one of the reasons the Jedi were scared of attachment because of stuff like this.
He murdered Master Cordova and pretty much destroyed any chance of restoring the Jedi Order. He is an unforgiveable monster.
I would’ve been shocked by this reveal but you had to spoil it
@ZamZK dude its in the title of the video. Bit hard to avoid
I knew the Empire was going to attack. Bode’s betrayal floored me
This hurt so much but from the very beginning I felt like something was off but I was hoping he wouldn’t be a backstabber
I still keep thinking he’s gonna start a rant about Dutch betraying the gang
Bode coming out as a traitor wasn't too unexpected. It was a moment of "alright, here it is." But him being a jedi is what dropped my jaw. I that was a brilliant way of surprising people who likely already suspected him enough.
4:39 Hold up. Can we talk about that lightsaber ignition sound? Because that sounded EXTRA crispy (ok no that just sounds way out of context)!
i dont know why all these people use force against Cal when they are dueling
Dishonor
Because his dueling skills are superior to them. Bode, and Dagan. So they resort to using the force when he has them outmatched in a duel
@@willisstillhere8846 dagan is a better duelist
@@davidson6738 hell no. In their last duel, Dagan had to use the force to subdue Cal. In their second duel, same scenario
@@willisstillhere8846 gameplay=\=story. Dagan only lost because cal pulled a trick. He also is permanently nerfed in midichlorians because of the missing arm. Stop the cap
Am I the only one wondering how cal got back to the archive? He gets shot, thrown off a building and it literally says he died by saying “respawn” I was too shocked by cal’s death to even process that cere died and then he just shows up out of nowhere
Not really, you can see how long it took him to get there since the fire went out and the empire was entirely gone
Also you gotta remember that only the side charscters die to small blaster wounds and stab wounds
I expected it but the one thing that gave me chills was the way he said “something horrible is coming to that archive.” and of course it was Vader…
Bode became actual friends with Cal that he hold back by using the reverse grip untill the end
As soon as they talked around the campfire I knew bode was gonna betray him
My God I’m glad I stayed off UA-cam until I finished the game, this is ridiculous! With all the spoilers in thumbnails and descriptions…. Feel bad for everyone that is being spoiled
Honestly, I said f*** it at this point cuz there’s no way I’m playing this any time soon, I don’t have a PS5, and I don’t have the money to buy one yet
Bro I'm telling you, youtube spoiled the fuckin kiss scene for me (admittedly I saw it coming, but it's the principle damn it), but after that, I stayed off YT until I beat the game. And I'm also super glad I did.
When i first met Bode in the game I knew something was off about him. And as I played more relying on his assists to save me from peril I grew to trust him a lot and the game went and pulled this shit. I was not prepared for it and this game did its job very well
This one hurt me cause bode is a really good character and the voice actor is amazing. He played charles in RDR2 and Mysterio in Spider-Man 2.
This game was phenomenal.
this has WAY less feel to it without the music.
Lovely sequence but am I the only one who notices how bad are explosions particles and generally the whole blaster shots effects hitting through Bode model during the chase and generally not even causing dust to raise up in bigger clouds after shots
And thus does Teal'c save Bra'tac and sacrifice his symbiote to save them both.
This type of betrayal cant be justified by "im a father"
I had a feeling from the start. He was way too chummy with Cal to be a merc, the only survivor from Cal’s crew and kept going on about his daughter.
I had suspicions of him at the beginning but every mission and building of character I was shoving it aside like nah he’s chill. Then it happened and I was so fucking pissed
This betrayal absolutely destroyed me, Bode was there the entire game
I might one of the only few that never saw this coming at all, time stopped when this happened for me
Same.
Completely blind sided
really hope they bring his character to the big screen
My jaw fell to the floor when this happened.
3:28 Cal: he fly now
Gotta love the Inverted Shien lightsaber grip
I knew he would betray us but i did not expect that force push🤯
dude...if cal listen to bode and warn everyone....cere maybe still be alive
This hurt and angered me, I actually never saw it coming. I genially liked Bode
Anyone else come to this video from the Castle Super Beast podcast after after hearing Pat's rant about how predictable the plot to this game is just to see if his prediction about Bode was accurate?
This one genuinely hurt
Honestly wish you could use the speeder in the free roam
How many time has Cal fallen from crazy high heights?
I loved bodes character thought it was a good guy and every time we reached a point where he was with me and something big was happening I was like “shoot he’s gonna die” and then buddy just tries to kill cal 😢
Wait I have a good question. How did they retrieve master Cordovas body and burried him if a grenate exploded right next to him
Cal was right there next to it and wasn’t phased. My guess is the grenade was the equivalent to a flashbang
@@Mroresident32303 Cal was saved by Cere. The grenade didn't damage the body that much, it wasn't powerful.
If you look at the grenade, it's the Impact Grenade model from Star Wars Battlefront 2. If you haven't used one before, you might think it's powerful. It's surprisingly weak of you don't hit your target dead-on. So it's not a big stretch that Cal survived.
Bodes got an Orange Lightsber. That's makes 3 of them
Baylan Skoll
Shin Hati
And Bode
Bode has Dagan's lightsaber, so technically Dagan was the 3rd orange saber.
Interestingly, the orange crystal seems to come about through bleeding one's own crystal wheras bleeding another crystal owned by another Jedi is where the deep red comes from... maybe the crystal (assuming its his own that he picked and bonded with in the beginning of his training) remembers its owner and has a little hope that they haven't fully lost themselves?
A lot to unpack there
I knew he was evil/spy ever since he went a separate path with the Tie Fighters at the start
You should name your channel MrSpoilALot
I wonder why every fallen jedi have red saber even to those who doesn't have relation with the siths
Kata bode’s daughter said it best “papa was different when mom was gone” Anakins blue crystal wouldve bled instantly if Padma died not by him
@@TheRealMikeyTM nice theory
That’s because he is using dagan geras lightsaber
@@Sergeant.Longnuts I see. But what about other fallen Jedi like Malicos
@@cyka7705 they more than likely bleed their lightsaber crystal. After all, he was studying the dark side in dathomir and becoming more corrupted by it.
I literally did not see this coming no spolers or anything i kind of thought something was up when he started acting shifty but i thought he was just mad at cal for using a safe place for other people but holy shit i did not see this.
They Should add Force Speed in the Next Game
That could be a cool idea. :)
Lol most replayed is being defeated because everyone including me wondered if there was a different outcome
He was a cool guy and he just betrays you
Bode deserved a worse fate than what he got
Anyone else think his lightsaber sounds badass?
This twist felt dumb as hell I saw it coming from on Coruscant when Bode went away on his own with a Tracker to Cal’s ship. Him suddenly being a Jedi felt even more forced and dumb, why did every boss except Rayvis have to be a Jedi?
As my friend said, we knew something was up after bode stayed behind from the Dagan Gera final fight, I had a feeling he would take the lightsaber but I didn’t expect him to actually be a jedi
I have just become prepared for any game that gives me a secondary character who i really like. When do they die, or when do they betray me? Haha
I didn’t see it coming that he was a Jedi survivor they got me there I did suspect he would betray tho. Honestly I’m unsure how I feel about game being darker than the first one but I did enjoy it. Now I’ve of my favorite Star Wars quotes “the galaxy needs its betrayers especially in the times to come for there can be no hope with out betrayal.”- Darth Traya
Ok let fight him with purity
was still blown as hell
