Spoiler alert: he didnt pick a winner, get either he says.. 6mins and 51sec wasted.. 1/10
Which one would you pick?
@@Marian1st. i wish i could tell ya mate.. i went ere looking for that same answer and got this sponsor safe one instead.. sighhh
@@callmevil So that’s why he didn’t pick one. Makes his channel less reliable for newbies.
I took an extra day or so and did my research. I went with Adam T7V for a better deal, and not necessarily because I think they sound better. Yamaha would have been my first choice, but since I’m not doing any mixing , I think Adam speakers are a better buy. More pleasant sound for long listening sessions and they don’t require a sub. With Yamaha, I feel like some genera’s would sound better if you had a sub with them.
On a one on one comparison between these two, I would pick Yamaha , because I love that detail on EDM and classical music.
lol do you need everyone to make decisions for you? what if you actually read a book or two in order to gain the necessary understanding to make the right choice for your personal need?
@@EcoCentrist u have too much time..
I think it’s pretty blatant (especially for EDM) that the sound test demonstrates much more clarity on the HS7. The Adam sounds muffled and choked. Even for application beyond mastering the Adam misses a sharpness that even my sensitive ears need to believe something isn’t a lo-fi mix or just bad master. Personally that first, rock-esque example is a terrible sound overall, and the HS7 is showing you that. That’s the point. I have a home stereo for pleasure, colouring/taming sound can be done there.
Bro the crispiness of yamaha is unnatural, you will never gonna hear that clarity in any speaker besides yamaha hs, wich make it unpractical in real life circunstances.... ur producing a sound that only you are going to hear
ADAM BEST/
In case anyone was wondering, Adam t7v and krk 10s sub is a f insane set up
Definitely the Adam speaker. Writes a KRK owner. ;)
Neither...
A Question?
I use midi keyboard using Piano and Rhodes samples on Computer. Which one do you offer in my case. I will not do mix and mastering. I just use them as a Keyboard player. I prefer mostly a warm sound! My Room is about 10 m2.
Thank you for your wonderful Video!
I´ve got a pair of Yamaha HS8 at my rehearsal studio and TV7 at my home studio. For piano and keys I´d chose the TV7´s. They are more warm sounding and less harsh in the upper range.
unfortunately Yamaha won... :)
Which would you recommend to buy? yamaha hs8 or T7v 🙌
T8V
Would be interesting to see you compare HS7 to HS8!
I think you'll benefit from having both in your studio. HS7 for that flat sound in mixing and the T7V's for the overall sound🔥 you can't go wrong with owning both
yh and im a rich
Why wouldn't you just use the money you spend of those to and instead buy higher end monitors 🙄
I have a set of Pyle Pstudio5 monitors. Where are these monitors in comparison?
I am more than certain you need hearing aids, but then again never mind, they won’t help, Yamaha is trash, stop defending it
It's crazy to me that even with the Adams U-ART tweeter the HS7's still have 5KHZ more frequency range 👀 I've been going back and forth trying to decide what monitors to get to for my home studio and obviously the more frequency range you get the more sound range and octave scaling you'll be able to perceive and from the looks of it the HS7's are the king of having neutral sound and a large frequency range in their price. Also considering pairing Adam A4V's with a sub but that's like 50% more expensive than HS7's and a sub
Yep! Get the HS7s 💪🏻
@@EdwardSmithMusic would you say the HS7's sound more neutral than something like the Kali Audio LP6 or 8? I'm also curious about the Coaxial Kali IN series as well
Perhaps the traditional tweeter is still better ...regardless of the blurb...Sony recording ...to my ears have always been at the forefront of recording and remastering...their research facilities are vast ...what are they using ...small firms cannot compete like for like ....they need an undiscovered innovation.....how likely is that
You can't hear above about 20K anyway so those super high frequencies don't really matter
@@connormckay9429 So... what did you get and how do you like them?
WOW I was going to get the Adams soon before your Video but for me the Yamaha are very clear where the Adam sound Muddy at times . Thx 4 your Video ,you saved me !!
Thanks for watching!!
I was also going to buy the Adams, but, mmmm Yammys sound good 👍🏾
i just bought the t7vs, they are crappy. a lot of in front lows, and background mids and highs. not so clear, not so nice for voices, dont know, i am very dissapointed atm
Really? I've had these for a couple years now and can't really complain about them. They sound clear and transparent to me. Was definitely a big (positive) difference with my rockit g6's i used for a decade. But that's really the only reference i have so.. @@inpreajmafericirii
Adam has slightly coloured and recessed mids to highs, which makes it less revealing
Edward do you have the Sound Id reference turned on with the Adam A7v ? I notice a tremendous difference in the EQ response being almost fully flattened, secondly the Transient response is squashed as well.
It's 2024 and Yamaha still insists on making all their electronics only work on one voltage/frequency.
Great monitors
Back to back content
Dope content as usual
Appreciate it!
HS7 is leader and the justifications you have selected are not for audiophile unless these monitors used with bass units. There are many other characteristics.
Love to love

Ppl bash the hs 7 because lack of bass, not true it all this depends on ur room and placement, I own them and they punch alit of low end
I choose HS7. Sounds more balanced to my years. Can you do a comparison between the Yamahas and Kali Audio. Then some of our decisions will be final.
I agree cos I have mixed live with it at some studio here and its really great
For mixing; Yamaha 👑
Yamaha HS7 or Adam Audio T7V=?????
What about doing T5V?
you should play the same song snippet twice, one with each speaker for better reference
totally agree
Midrange is KING
Very true!!
Up to 30KHz... must be better 🤦♂
I've owned both, the adams are easily better
I went for the T5v’s per Z reviews…. I made the mistake in the past with going with the m3-8’s from M-Audio for near field and you end up needing a large amount of space to position them correctly…. The smaller Adams will be perfect for placement options in small desktop use…
Now just shopping for a decent Sub for $300-$500 that will pair nicely
I just got a pair of T7V's to pair with my HS5's! Referencing has never been so easy
ok I'm not listening in a very good environment - laptop speakers and someone is cranking The Voice on the TV but the Yammys sound WAY better. I don't like muffled sound lacking definition (like NBC audio engineers seem to only be capable of for live music.)
Literally planning to buy between these two and Kali In-8’s
curious what you went for, cause the price difference for in8 it's almost double :) so? what was your pick and why? 10x

The quality of bass is superior in adam, nobody speak about that...
But which is flatter?
I would prefer a camparison between the HS8 and the T7V because of price and those inch differences. Still a nice Review, just way to often released on UA-cam.
Yeah. I´ve got both. They are both very good near field monitors, but I prefer the TV7´s for longer sessions, as the HS8´s are a tiny bit harsh in the upper range for my taste.
@@Kakker71I wanna but my first studio monitors and I’m torn between hs8 t5v or t7v? What do you recommend
@@AmgadMakarem I don´t know about the t5v, but between the HS8 and the t7v I prefer the t7v. I use the HS8 in the rehearsal studio, and to me they are a little too harsh in the upper frequenzies. The t7v I can listen to for ever. I guess the t5v are a bit similar, but will probably lack some bottom.
@@Kakker71 thank you for your taking the time to reply. I wonder if the T7V also translates mixes well compared to the HS8 from your experience?
@@AmgadMakarem I mostly start out mixing on the HS8 in the rehearsal studio and then continue at home on my TV7s. Most times I get a better overall result from the tv7s after I correct the mix there, but I´m no professional and have still a lot to learn.
They arent even setup well. They both sound wrong.
Adam t7v vs yamaha hs7, which one is your choice?
I'm looking being a mixing mastering, so Hs7, Adam is better to listening, but i think, if I could make the sound clear on Hs7 its a weel done in every case, so
Kali Audio IN-8❤
Sound Test 🤣... The most exciting part
T5v’s and a sub…. That’s the route I’m going…
How are they working out for you ? Did you get them ?
Very realistic comparative review, do not use AGC on recorder.
Super bro i really like you're video
Keep doing this 👌
Thanks for watching man!! 🙏🏻
you’ve made this video like 5 times can u make some mixing tutorials or something new like cmon now everything about gear
I only have these monitors for a short time, so I have to try make all these videos before I have to send them back. This was also a highly requested video.
Edward's doing his thing, making sure there's every possible comparison is there. I personally love how many reviews and comparison videos he has. I can watch his content for days.
ironically listening to the sound comparison on Yamaha HS80m's lol
same here

KS digital
Wanted to see Genelec
Much needed video
I mix edm often - which one is better for that?
Samsung
soooo which one is best for multilayered psyyyyytraaaanceeeee
i think i go for adams newer technology and more germany engineered?
adams kindof looks better asvell
think adams cheaper asweeeeel
yamahas has an unbalance in design, tweeter to close and not enough air from the woofer
they could easaly make the black around the tweeter and it would look much better, and why not white...
They're both pretty low on the high end. My tannoys go up to 43khz I'm curious how important is the missing 15+khz
My ears got set to msp 5 for nearly 2 decades..cant risk other exclusive brands..might affect my mix..
Thnx 4 the excellent review bro.
I had the tv7 here for a few days a few years ago, real trash, totally artificial sound in the mids and lows.Yamaha hs7 was better but i much prefer my neumann kh120 and sceptre s8
