The abarth certainly has the character but the Audi is likely much more useable. They are both cool little yellow cars though!

thedownshiftchannel ive had a couple of Abarths, great fun car and the 65 plate I had was more refined and better ride than the 12 plate model. Much improved at speed also. Only downsides are they are a bit of a short car, and with the firmer ride they do feel a bit unsettled on anything but glass smooth roads, and at speed they feel twitchy on the steering because of the short wheelbase. Id go with the S1 for better all round use.
if you are a petrolhead and you pick a car because it is useable... well your just not a petrolhead
It took them 30 days to realize they both have yellow mini cars. It took 18 months for us to realize that James doesn't watch STG's channel.

ST is great. Biposto fights the same fight but is made to pound the pavement more laps per season than ST, service conditions typical for the weekday track-renting crowd with the mega-pricy big-fish cars that are really worth chasing in a pumped-up peoples' car.

The abarth 180 is totally fine you don't need the biposta really
Ross Pemberton The competizione makes more sense. It has all of the expected features and only marginally less power.
I have the standard abarth for a daily driver and it's awesome the 180 does 0-62 a bit faster but the top end speed is virtually the same but to be fair all abarth make you smile
Ross Pemberton Agreed. I plan to get a Tourismo 595 because the comp suspension is just a tad too firm for a runabout. However I find the facelift bumpers hideous so they will have to be swapped out.
Well I'd just go for the first generation like mine but I would recommend the sunroof it's a pretty cool feature and when it down you hear the exhaust more to 😄😄
Ross Pemberton I want the higher quality updated interior with the infotainment and all. But I agree that the first gen 500 essesse is the quintessential Abarth.

James is so used to downshifting on the wheel he tapped it and realised stick shift.
happens to him, Shmee and i believe ive seen SOL do the same and STG probably has the same issue but i dont recall noticing in the past

No idea how you don't have more subs, your videos are always natural and professional. This was wicked, I own a 595 Competition so loved every minute of this. Sam nailed its character although I would say I find mine comfortable on long drives! Fuel and turning circle are to be ridiculed however....
Still reckon you need to take it to ABT & get it tuned to 330bhp!

Wanted one of these two, went for the Abarth in the end and I'm very pleased I did. Really is a car that puts a smile on your face. Like the S1 but as they mentioned it a little more sensible and tame.

"Little yellow cars" ~ yeah, what a cool video! 695 Biposto...you have GOT to be a fan to buy one. Daily driver? Gads. Audi Quattro at least has more rear end room. "You don't need a radio when you are driving a racing car" better words have never been said! I have an Abarth 500 and have turned on the radio about 3 times in the year I have owned it since brand new. No need...the exhaust is music!

I've owned and daily driver an Audi S1 for a year now, it consumes quite a lot but damn it is so fun ! I'm waiting for the warranty to mod it tho

Love you guys, great video. Is personally take a non-record 695 with the dog ring and stupid window, and get it wrapped a better colour than the grey then come in, and be cruel to it and trash it everywhere. At least with such light cars bumps don't do as much damage to the car itself, I'm never too bothered about my own comfort I just worry about the suspension breaking, and in a sub-1000kg car it's not going to be an issue
Those little Abarths are on my bucket list. The type of roads i do suit them so much... But a ceaper one ;)
