    go back and watch at 2:59 when you move the bed manually it causes the fan to twitch which can't be a good thing it is back feeding AC into the mainboard through the motor controller.

    Great job very thorough review. Would love to see a follow up on this to see if you handle the heat creep and to hear what geeetech had to say.
    Keep up the good work.

      Thanks. TBH I have not used this machine yet since I did this review and the final Dumbo print. I did get some new fans in the mail I plan to mount on the left side. I will update when I get time to mess around with it again. I have since moved onto a new Photon.

    I've never had an issue with the A10M but I always colour mix even if it is just 1% from one of the extruders. My feeling is if the filament just stands there or one it can burn the filament as it is just stood there and also it can heat creep up the filament. So 1% in my mind stops it from possibly burning and also reduces the chances of heat creep. At this moment in time, there are no real alternatives to colour mixing as all the others print one colour at a time ie the bambu's.
    Been looking to buy a used A30 T just to play with and mess with. Shame the software was also a bit of an afterthought it seems from Geeetech as well.

    Can I plz ask what your retraction settings are for this printer so I have a rough ball park where too start, iv had this printer 7months now and not been able get a print off yet as. it try’s to use all 3 extruders even when im trying do single colour and the temps completely change from what I slice the print at when I start a print im at a loss with this machine so far

    9 months later...what do you thinks of the A10T? How about a short recap unless it was really bad and you no longer use it. Does it do multi-color prints (separate colors for different parts) or just color mixing? Also on the bed liner, a tip for the future. Peel of just a 1/4" or so of the backing, align it, stick that 1/4" down and then pull the rest of the backing out from under it. Really nice in-depth video.

      Hey, I sold this machine on offer up as well as all of my a10m's. They are all a pain to deal with. I got tired of the clogs and layer shifts. However yes you can print multi color prints as well as mixing. Thanks

    Great video but I am confused why you said it’s a good printer when all you had were issues printing, which seem to be linked to a design issue

    • @MDGraphicx
      @MDGraphicx  4 роки тому +2

      Well I have a10ms as well so my comparison is from that and when compared it built much better and has less issues so far. I enjoy my a10ms but they are a headache and this a10t didn't have any of those issues so far except for the clogging. I have not messed with this printer much since but an extra fan could have been a bit better. I need to find time to mess with this printer more and I will update.

    Will this work with PVA dissolvable filament? Its the only thing I can't find an answer on, which is really the only reason I want a multi extruder printer... Please let me know!! Thanks.

    • @ducktective7520
      @ducktective7520 4 роки тому

      This being a combination nozzle and not a separate nozzle i would not use a desolvable filliment as it would mix with the normal plastics and it would have to extrude the existing in the nozzle. Id recommend a multi nozzle printer for something like that. Not a mixer nozzle.

    • @jameswiz
      @jameswiz 4 роки тому

      @@ducktective7520 Couldn't it be setup to print with a "waste block" next to the print, to clear out the PLA or PVA for each layer needed? Im sure it would add an extreme amount of to each print, but in theory should work. Now that i've had the printer for a few weeks, I still can't get the damn thing to stop printing using all 3 colors at the same time. It just blends them all at a 33.3333%... Say I use, white, Red, and black PLA in it, the resulting print turns out a one new color of a reddish-gray... I can't seem to fix this.. Even if I turn off 2/3 extruders in Cura, the three all still run when i insert the SD card and print... I haven't tried direct printing from my PC yet, but that'll be next i guess...
      Any advice on getting it to use only one extruder at a time? What settings or software do you use it'?
      Thanks

    Thanks for the in depth review. I see you have a couple of A10M's as well. Did you have heat creep problems with those? I'm asking b/c I'm still battling the clogs on my A20M. Did the heat creep cause a clog at the end of the PTFE tube? Which is what I'm having.. thx

    • @MDGraphicx
      @MDGraphicx  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks. Yes occasionally I do. The a10ms are a headache thatI am always working on. If the PTFE tube was damaged make sure to replace it. If it is new the cheap fans that come with it might be bad and it is recommended to replace them. There is also a fix to keep the ptfe tube pushed in. I have 4 a10ms and 3 of them are down now. One clogged, one heat creep and one needs a new hotend.

    Sadly I own A10T. It has the newest GT2560 V4.0 board which should be a benefit but it isn't. It comes with Marlin 1.1.8 from 2017. You can upgrade it to Marlin 1.1.8 from geeetech site. But the available file is only in hex format so you cannot copy settings. There are some profiles on github but they are based on A10M and GT2560 V3 board but with that settings 2 out of 3 extruders wont work. I asked geeetech for detailed board schematic (for upgrading to TMC2208) and pins assignment. They said that it will take time... why? don't they first design board then make it?

    Can you tell me where you wired in the 2nd heat sink fan? I will have to order one.

    • @MDGraphicx
      @MDGraphicx  4 роки тому +1

      There is an open spot on the breakout board right next to the other fans plug. However you will need to change the connector on the fan to fit as it is smaller. This is the connector I got off of amazon: "Shappy 20 Pieces Micro JST PH 2.0 2-Pin Connector Plug" can do a search for it.

    • @pixelsimage
      @pixelsimage 4 роки тому

      @@MDGraphicx Thanks. Figures every manufacturer has to be a little different with their wiring. I just checked and the fans I am using would need these new plugs. Bummer.
