3D printing is something that should be completely mainstream. The ability to print literally anything you want, from home, is absolutely astounding. My favorite prints are like your wheelchair caps. Something you don't necessarily notice, but is a quality of life improvement for almost nothing.

It's a good printer for sure but there are cheaper offerings out there for less that do much more. For example, I own the Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro and that cost me $299. $100 less than this printer and has bells and whistles that this printer doesn't have. For someone who would just print random doo-dads, this is fine but anything else, they should buy something better.

Printers have come a long way. My first printer didn't have a part cooling fan so it could only print ABS and was $500 about 10 years ago. I have a couple creality machines but got tired of working on them and recently got a bambu x1c and its leagues above. For the price, that anker make looks like it would be a great first printer. I doubt it can print some of the claimed filaments without warping though, like ABS and PC.

There’s no 3D printer that uses pure gold filament because gold is a dense and costly material that can’t be extruded like plastic or composite metal filaments. However, there are indirect or alternative techniques to 3D print objects using gold:
-Filaments with gold particles: Some filaments contain tiny particles of precious metals like gold mixed with other materials like plastic. These filaments allow you to create objects with a golden shine, but they’re not made entirely of pure gold.
-Indirect 3D printing (Lost Wax Casting): You can use a 3D printer to create a wax or resin mold, then use the lost wax casting technique to make a real piece of gold. This method is commonly used in jewelry.
-Binder jet: Some industrial 3D printers can print on metal materials using an agglutination process, but then the printed parts need to be sintered in a furnace to become solid metal. However, this process is also complex for materials like gold.
For pure gold pieces, technology still relies on traditional casting processes rather than 3D printers that extrude directly.

To achieve such a fast print speed does the quality of the print suffer? What types of filaments can it use? I saw the sawdust, iron, and copper infused materials. What about the elastic, glow-in-the-dark, or other types of filaments? Can this be used to make lithophanes? How well does it work with machines that combine different filament colors and materials on the fly? Like from Mosaic's Palette machines? Does it have a 2-way to 4-way hot end feeder that essentially fuses different filaments on the fly from different spools? Making them into a many colored/textured filament kind of blended together or fuse the different feeds together end-to-end? Is there a wasteful purge block when changing from one filament color or material during the same print session? Does the company have a multi-head or multi-tool attachment for more complicated 3D prints or projects?

It is not good and too many issues! If you run AMD you'll have software problems and their slicer is limited at best. I've had mine not even a month and one problem after another and I'm returning it.

I wonder how the printed metal PLA would behave once it would get to the exact melting point of the metal.
