- The Sony a7R III is a popular full-frame mirrorless camera that was first introduced in 2017. Despite being a few years old, this camera continues to be a favorite among photographers and videographers. In this video, we will discuss why the Sony a7R III is still a good camera to buy in 2023.
Superb Image Quality:
One of the main reasons why the Sony a7R III is still a great camera to buy in 2023 is its superb image quality. With a 42.4-megapixel full-frame sensor, this camera produces stunning, high-resolution images that are incredibly sharp and detailed. Additionally, the camera's BIONZ X image processor and advanced autofocus system work together to produce beautiful, accurate colors and sharp focus.
Video Capabilities:
Another reason why the Sony a7R III is still a good camera to buy in 2023 is its excellent video capabilities. The camera is capable of recording 4K video at 30 frames per second and 1080p video at up to 120 frames per second. The camera also has a full-pixel readout with no pixel binning, which results in high-quality footage with exceptional detail and clarity. With the camera's advanced autofocus system, videographers can easily track moving subjects and maintain sharp focus throughout the video.
Build Quality and Ergonomics:
The Sony a7R III is built to last and is designed with a durable, weather-sealed body that can withstand harsh shooting environments. In addition, the camera's ergonomic design makes it comfortable to hold and use for extended periods of time. The camera's buttons and dials are well-placed and intuitive to use, allowing for easy customization of settings and quick access to important functions.
Lens Selection:
One of the advantages of the Sony a7R III is its compatibility with a wide range of lenses. The camera uses the Sony E-mount, which allows for the use of both Sony and third-party lenses. This provides photographers and videographers with a wide range of options, including native Sony lenses and lenses from other manufacturers such as Zeiss and Sigma.
Affordability:
Finally, the Sony a7R III is still a good camera to buy in 2023 because it is more affordable than newer camera models. While the Sony a7R III was once a high-end camera, its price has dropped significantly over the past few years. This makes it an attractive option for photographers and videographers who want a high-quality camera without breaking the bank.
In conclusion, the Sony a7R III is still a great camera to buy in 2023. With its superb image quality, excellent video capabilities, durable build quality, versatile lens selection, and affordability, this camera is an excellent choice for photographers and videographers of all levels. Whether you're a professional looking for a reliable camera for your next shoot or an enthusiast who wants to take their photography to the next level, the Sony a7R III is a solid choice that won't disappoint.

Gotta love Precision Camera! The folks in the photo lab are legit!
I just bought one used for $1200 and it only had a 467 shutter count
Dag bro! That’s a good buy? Where did you find it, Facebook market?
@@aerialaustin_ Thanks! I bought it from eBay. The seller was a Las Vegas pawnshop. It also came with a nice camera backpack, a Peak design hand strap and a 128gb sd card
Been my main camera for a couple years, and it still does everything I need, I keep thinking of upgrading, then look at the images I get and think why? It takes killer shots still.
Thank you for this nice video! How are the colours from this camera, any issues? On your video they looked nice
Great vid! Just picked one up used. (Did you film this on the A7Riii?)
Using it professionally as our main camera for social media content, at a full service ad agency. It does everything and well. All you need is good glass. The only gripe is I wish it had an option to push faster frame rates at 4K. Thats it.
Thank you so much for the very informative video about A7R III , Very helpful for me! God bless you and good luck!
Thank you, I’m glad it helped
Great recommendation
I returned a74 and got a7riii very very happy with it.
What type of photography do you do?
Great video dude! This is the camera I use, I'm an amateur but I really love it. I also just moved to Austin a few months ago! Drop me a line if you'd like to get together and shoot some time.
That’s dope! What made you move here? Follow me on IG I’m much more active on there. 👍🏾
Bros mustache is majestic. Following for the stache.
😂😂😂 thank you! That’s why I keep it! 🙏🏾
Thanks a lot for this video! I just bought a A7IV mainly for photography and I was looking for a second/backup camera for my events. I have seen this now used for around $1500 and I'll definitely will see if I can trade some stuff I don't use any longer.
How this camera works as a second camera for video? Like interviews or some small shoots
I love it as a second shooter. I think I use a modified version of PP10 and it performs well in low light situations. But for interviews or anything that is well lit, it works great.
@@aerialaustin_ Thanks a lot man! New subscriber here!
I have been using this camera for several years now as a full time Real Estate Photographer. Was the video segment shown shot with your A7RIII? If so what tips do you have for such clean footage? I run into issues consistently with noise and have been wondering they’re are ways to help reduce this.
Hey there great video man!! one question would you recomment this camera for shooting virtual tours with a fisheye lens like samyang?
Video tours or photography?

Thanks so very much for this video.. I'm just about to buy this camera, I want it for Landscape and some street photography.. does anyone know of a good budget lens, say around the 35mm mark, could be prime or a zoom lens, just one lens that I can leave on the camera for everything.. thank you so much, Jeff
I would say any of the new Tamron or Rokinon lenses are great!
Great video! I´m currently thinking about buying the a7riii and your video helped me making a decision. Thank you!
That’s so great to hear, I’m glad I can help. Any other topics you’d like to hear my talk about?
Found a listing on Offer Up for the Sony A7Riii that was $500, definitely going to get it now after watching this video! Thanks!
@@cbcreative9176 wow! That’s a steal! Such an amazing find. 👍🏾

I’m looking to move to full frame from a Nikon apsc camera. I was considering a Nikon z5 but now I see no reason to not get this when I have the money
Not to brag… but I just got mine (slightly used) auction on eBay, $950…. So yeah you can get it more affordable used. To be also honest, I still use the first Gen, Sony a7. The main difference in the a7iii is mainly the higher MP and the auto focus on eyes. In my opinion… 90% of photographers can do very well on the original a7. Plus you can still find them $500 or under. FYI… but no doubt the a7iii is more updated but not by much… IJS.
Brag on 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Just picked one up for $1300 🔥 (fb)
I can now afford the new
FE 16-35 f/2.8 GM II
Had a $3500 budget but what’s another $100 😅
That’s a winner!
I found one for 1700 with the Sony 1.8 50 mm should I get that or a a7iii for a 1000 but has 138k shutter count?
Whoa! That’s a pretty high shutter count. What do primarily do, are you a photographer? A videographer? Both or just starting out?
@@aerialaustin_ yeah that’s what I was thinking but mainly video but I wanna be able to do both for my barbering
@@geliooblendz3369 I were using it for Barbering I think it would be good to get the a7riii. It does great with video (4K and all the good stuff) and is great to capture photos of your haircuts.
