Hey Odyssey can you make a video of ranking all Minecraft Biomes cause my favorite are Crimson Forest Warped Forest Plains Birch Forest Snow Plains Taiga Oceans Lukewarm Oceans End City
Cant wait for "ranking every minecraft light source" with first place being the brown mushroom for emitting a light level of 1 and enabling efficient swamp slime farms
You forgot the fact that cake is the only food you can eat while the server is lagging. Usually eating speed is determined by the TPS, cakes however are not affected.
Its worth mentioning that mushroom soup is the only food thats "safe" to get in the nether, but I dont think this changes its spot on the list because that only really matters if you start in the nether or get stranded there.
@@dreadnaught5370 i know about the building up, but mushroom soup is even less risky. And as i said i don’t want to even get near hoglins in that scenario
that would honestly be a good idea because Odyssey Central is a rare UA-camr that actually puts the effort in to name every feature that is relevant to the subject
An additional effect that honey bottles have is that you can drink them while being full, allowing it to basically function as a healing potion at any time if thats ever needed
Honey bottles can also cure poison! Don't think this affects the ranking too much, but it's useful when wanting to get rid of bad effects whilst maintaining the good ones
I feel like chorus fruit should be higher, simply because there's no other food that can deliver the uses it gives. Most Minecraft foods can be removed and wouldn't really change anything, as they can easily be replaced with a food very similar to it. Removing chorus fruit will significantly change what you can and can't do, though, as chorus fruit is the only food that can do stuff such as teleporting you through unbreakable walls and saving you from fall damage.
Man it's not like he also already mentioned those as considerations. A niche role is still a role that's not used much. The safety from levitation can be solved by pearls and the elytra. Let alone pro gamer water bucket clutch. And this is based on survival, as in there's only bedrock and end portals as unbreakable blocks you need to tp out of. Also ender pearl phasing also works if it's a 1 block think wall.
@@cd767 Why would I be comparing chorus fruit to entries lower than it when I'm trying to prove it's better than some of the entries above it? I'm comparing chorus to entries above it, like Cooked Mutton, which can easily be replaced with something like cooked porkchop and would barely change anything.
@@Evitzeoshowerthoughts With that same logic, water buckets aren't worth carrying around, since water bucket clutches can easily be replaced by cautious climbing, or as you already mentioned, ender pearls, in a normal survival world. After all, a niche role is still a role that's not used much. However, as soon as you have multiplayer, yeah, both water buckets and chorus fruits have a LOT of uses. It ESPECIALLY gets useful if it's a server survival world full of trolls.
@@dudethedude1220 water buckets still has the pro of being reusable, useful for lava, when you're burning from burning zombies or something, getting rid of enderman, and only 1 inventory space. A seperate use is dumping the water for milk if potioned..and rivers are plentiful But sure, the multiplayer thing is true with troll traps... if they don't prevent it by having empty space near you so chorus doesn't work..
Sorry if it sounds corny but im not in my best moment rn and your content cheers me up a bit. It's just so relaxing and funny to see, thank you for making this kind of videos.
20:00 Hoglins drop ~2 porkchop when killed and even very simple hoglin farms can drop around 6,000 cooked porkchop per hour. Personally factoring this in I would separate the beef and the porkchop and most of the time consider porkchop the #1 given how easy it is to afk and obtain.
Honestly, I don't think he should. Music is simply opinion based, there are no music discs that are objectively 'better' than others. I personally don't like 'Blocks' but I respect that others do like it
Addition to pumpkin pie: Farmer villagers trade 4 pumpkin pie, making the item easily accessible if you have a good amount of emeralds. I myself eat almost exclusively pumpkin pies simply by leveling up the villagers
There was one extremely niche case when the mushroom stew was really useful for me, which was when my friend and I decided to reach 1000000 blocks away from spawn on our university's server. To speed up the travel, we got above the Nether roof and made a Nether portal every 10k blocks to set our spawn in the Overworld. There was, however, the issue of hunger. Turns out, running 10k without eating in Minecraft isn't exactly something you can do. That's when the mushroom stew comes in. Above the Nether roof, there's no other food source than mushrooms, and since the bowl is reusable, we each made ourselves 9 bowls and stocked up on mushrooms every time we encountered a patch. We did later change our strategy to farm up steaks and pork chops during our brief trips to the Overworld, but the mushroom stew did get us about halfway there, so it deserves at least a little credit. But yes, otherwise, it's completely useless.
Imo, there's no reason why dried kelp should be the only food item that can be quickly eaten. Maybe other food items might be more interesting if they could be quickly eaten as well. Some of them would be sweet berries, glow berries (plz Mojang, make them give glowing effect), spider eyes ('cause why not?) and cookies, at least making cookies a bit more valuable. Another idea to make food more interesting (although more complex) is removing (or decreasing) the movement reduction when eating some food items (those mentioned before). Imagine if cookies could be eaten while running without slowing you down (definitely won't make chasing players harder lmao). Also, there was a Combat Snapshot Test where high saturation regeneration was removed from every food. I'd keep it for soups and stews.
Worth mentioning: Villager trades you missed, possibly to reduce yapping. Note: All raw meat and fish can be traded into butchers and fishermen Butcher: Sells Rabbit Stew at one emerald to one stew novice trade. Sells Cooked porkchop and cooked chicken at one emerald for 5 pork or 8 chicken in respective apprentice trades. Buys Dried kelp blocks at a ten block to one emerald expert trade. Buys Sweet berries at a ten berry to one emerald master trade. Farmer: Sells bread at one emerald for 6 bread novice trade. Buys melon blocks at a 4 block to one emerald journeyman trade. Sells Pumpkin Pie at one emerald for 4 pie apprentice trade. Sells cake at one emerald to one cake expert trade. Sells Sus Stew (Night vision, Jump boost, Weakness, Blindness, Poison, Saturation) at one emerald to one stew expert trade. Fisherman: Buys Tropical fish at a six fish to one emerald expert trade. Buys Pufferfish at a four fish to one emerald master trade.
the fact spider eye is so high hurts me the poison damage will nullify any food it gives, and even put you lower rotten flesh is so much better than raw chicken, and than the eye, even considering other uses
In addition to suspicious stew being the only way to get blindness in Vanilla, pufferfish is also in fact the only way for players to get nausea, so that's required for "how did we get here?" too. Giving poison and hunger simultaneously also saves you a little bit of effort by not needing to eat rotten flesh and spider eyes (or splashing a poison potion) in addition while attempting the achievement.
Rabbit and Beetroot stew aren't very good, but I've always enjoyed them for the immersion in the world, having a more proper meal. Same with Beetroot itself. I enjoy farming it for that reason no matter how much better Wheat, Carrots and Potatoes are. And I think you underestimate Mushroom Stew, it's an easy food source once you get both mushrooms and it's very easy to get a giant supply of it. Apple's are a really good food source on the first night if you haven't killed many mobs, it holds no risk of giving you hunger. For Spider Eyes you completely forgot the new use it just got with the Armadillo breeding. That makes it a better item even if I don't think it would actually affect the ranking. Sweet Berries and Glow Berries are both great for early game, same as dried kelp is, and sweet berries on their own I've seen be used in other things. Chorus Fruit is indeed underrated, it has a niche use, but that use is always good when you need one. I certainly wouldn't place Pumpkin pie as high as this, but it's nice to see fans of it. I really look forwards to whenever we get another food item, the last one we got was Glow Berries and that was years ago.
A thing to add about cake, you can eat it instantly by tapping on it, while other food takes time. This is especially useful in laggier servers and pvp situations
One advantage of sweet berries is that since they grow very fast, it's actually not that hard to get a big farm going really fast, which skips any of the almost starving to death in the early game if you can't find a bed.
Also a fun fact about cookies. Back in the beta, they were the only food that could stack, making them extremely strong if you had some. But sadly, the wern't renewable, as cocoa beans (or the cookies themselves, I don't remember) could only be found in jungle temples. Edit: Honey bottles also remove the poison effect from the drinker. Not useful, but interesting And Chorus fruit is the only food source (with suspicious stew) that can be eaten while at full hunger, so you can stack up to 20 saturation with it.
Can't wait to see the 200k special, for your 300k special would you consider ranking every mario kart track in all the mainline games (nitro and retro tracks)?
If you want a short video idea, I thought of ranking the different karts in mariokart 8 deluxe. Mostly because it wouldn’t be long, and they range from a lot of different stats and looks.

I know it's not the best by any means, but I've always had a fondness for using pumpkin pie. This is because irl pumpkin pie is one of my favorite desserts, so I like the thought of sharing that with my minecraft character.
I know this is about survival, but Suspicious Stew is actually pretty enjoyed by the PVP community. In servers with Golden Apples banned, Suspicious Stews are considered one of the strongest healing items, even having people craft them during combat. This is because of the saturation effect, and their very cheap and farmable recipe.
I really like sweet berries because you can plant and grow more anywhere. So sometimes I'll even make little outposts with a crafting table, furnace, bed, water, chest, and a row of sweet berry bushes!
I want Odyssey Central to make a video of ranking all Minecraft biomes my favorite is Crimson Forest Warped Forest Plains Snowy Plains Frozen Peaks Dark Oak Forest Oceans Lukewarm Ocean
Did you know that the verb Milking is not just for when you extract milk from a cow. It applies to whenever you extract something from something else, ie. taking venom from a snake. So yes, taking mushroom stew from a Moosroom is indeed Milking the Mooshroom.
Raw Mets really gets hated on for no reason. They say that “just cook it” but at the start of the game, I’m not waiting for 2 in game days for a furnace and coal just to eat cooked pork chops.😭
depending on where you spawn, it's easy to get a furnace. The only thing you need is a wooden pickaxe you don't even need coal, just use any wood material
Though not incredibly useful, cookies have an 85% chance to raise the level of a composter. Since you get 8 of them, it's more efficient than using the raw ingredients.
ilmango convinced me cooked steak is the best food for running around in a survival world. if you get down to 6 hunger and can no longer sprint, eating 3 golden carrots brings you to full hunger and saturation. it only takes 2 steaks to do the same. all that extra saturation gets wasted unless you need to heal NOW. also I've never made a gold farm
If you are stuck with a farmer villager, and it’s not fully upgraded to golden carrots, and you need to buy cookies, don’t throw them away and don’t commit massive parrot murders, put it in the composter, as it is the best source to fill a composter! Also, you can keep your iron, just trade string with a string duper!
I think you should have put the cooked pork chop in number one. If you level a butcher villager enough, it can sell you FIVE PORK CHOPS FOR ONE EMERALD. And with a string duper or stick trades, 2 logs or 20 string could get you 5 pork chops. That’s pretty insane.
I think what I’m gonna do is include an all music disc tier list in my video ranking all the 1.21 features, and then just update it after every update 🔥
I made the math a long time ago, while 8 cokies do give more imediet hunger back compared to 1 bread, the saturation is so small that the cokies becomes less effective than bread
This was a great list! And speaking of Minecraft food it would’ve been great to see the sniffer have a new crop to get new food, but whatever. And also I know golden carrots are extremely good, but what makes you use them instead of having better saturation + hunger points with meat? Just curious, and I really enjoyed the ranking!
It's a shame you can't use poison potatoes as a weapon, it would make them infinitely more useful. Make it a potion ingredient for poison or something.
A couple of points. Suspicious stew (with Lily of the Valley) is useful on worlds without natural health regen. It can be a lifesaver, especially early game. Raw meats can also be traded with a butcher villager. If you setup a passive mod farm, it will become a better source of emeralds than a farmer villager.

So yes, taking mushroom stew from a Moosroom is indeed Milking the Mooshroom.
6:10 ‘gambling is fun’
"What kind of psychopath makes a rabbit farm?" Not me over here having a ranch of every creature I can lol.
Raw Mets really gets hated on for no reason. They say that “just cook it” but at the start of the game, I’m not waiting for 2 in game days for a furnace and coal just to eat cooked pork chops.😭
Bruh it really takes you 2 game days to get a furnace and fuel?
depending on where you spawn, it's easy to get a furnace. The only thing you need is a wooden pickaxe
you don't even need coal, just use any wood material
Sounds like a skill issue lil bro
Lmao if it takes you TWO in game days to get a furnace then that says more about YOU than the game.... 😂😂😂
Fun fact: the poisonous potato actually fills more hunger than the normal potato
D tier gang rise up
Though not incredibly useful, cookies have an 85% chance to raise the level of a composter. Since you get 8 of them, it's more efficient than using the raw ingredients.
I just hate everything about beetroot soups existence. lets pull out a crafting table to get the same amount of hunger, but unstackable
ilmango convinced me cooked steak is the best food for running around in a survival world. if you get down to 6 hunger and can no longer sprint, eating 3 golden carrots brings you to full hunger and saturation. it only takes 2 steaks to do the same. all that extra saturation gets wasted unless you need to heal NOW. also I've never made a gold farm
You should rank every redstone component.
Your 4th video since hitting 200K subscribers, none have them have been under 20 minutes. It's clear that "not yapping too much" isn't easy for you
I think you should have put the cooked pork chop in number one. If you level a butcher villager enough, it can sell you FIVE PORK CHOPS FOR ONE EMERALD. And with a string duper or stick trades, 2 logs or 20 string could get you 5 pork chops. That’s pretty insane.
Also, for those who don’t know butcher villagers are obtained with smokers
What about ranking every music disc in minecraft (including Creator since that's 100% going to be a disc)
I think what I’m gonna do is include an all music disc tier list in my video ranking all the 1.21 features, and then just update it after every update 🔥
There should be a Minecraft food update, where they make foods like burgers, and add crops like corn and pizza
2:34 I thought the puffer fish was the worst when it gives you poison ☠️ when you eat it
It also gives you nausea and hunger
I made the math a long time ago, while 8 cokies do give more imediet hunger back compared to 1 bread, the saturation is so small that the cokies becomes less effective than bread
right at lunchtime too (east coast)
u live on the east coast dont u
This was a great list! And speaking of Minecraft food it would’ve been great to see the sniffer have a new crop to get new food, but whatever. And also I know golden carrots are extremely good, but what makes you use them instead of having better saturation + hunger points with meat? Just curious, and I really enjoyed the ranking!
the health regen you get with golden carrots is pretty crazy
10:59 my favorite part 💀
It's a shame you can't use poison potatoes as a weapon, it would make them infinitely more useful. Make it a potion ingredient for poison or something.
You forgot that Honey Bottles clear effects like Milk 😅
Wait really?
only poison
A couple of points. Suspicious stew (with Lily of the Valley) is useful on worlds without natural health regen. It can be a lifesaver, especially early game. Raw meats can also be traded with a butcher villager. If you setup a passive mod farm, it will become a better source of emeralds than a farmer villager.
5:05 is it just me or is that a black creepy face in the bottom left corner
It’s phantom marionette from FNAF 3
7:03 I'ma be honest i haven't payed attention to a single thing you've said, I've just been vibing to Creator
13:57 This video is a W for Pikmin fans

I don’t know why, but these rankings are so fun to watch.
