Like I said, piece of cake!"
The Wizard isn't a computer guy. If it was my laptop, I'd immediately clone the hard drive and keep a dd copy file on backup. Then, I'd install a ssd for better reliability on this computer. If it goes bad, I can a: buy a laptop of the same model and clone back the hard drive, to make it the same or b: make a P2V and use the same Windows setup and software in a virtual machine, running on any laptop. I did it many many times and it works quite well!

By comparison, I have seen hard drives still in use after a decade or more of regular operation. SSDs are great for performance but not a great choice for repeated read write applications. In some instances a 7200 rpm hard drive really is the best option if you're not going to replace the drive regularly. For a laptop that will not see that much usage, I would probably use an SSD on something else. How often do you see the Car Wizard servicing a late model Lamborghini? Especially on an older legacy laptop? Some older cars will not work with USB but still use serial bus interfaces. Laptops of that vintage (pre-2006) are not going to support the SATA interfaces most SSDs use. Another example in which a 7200 rpm IDE (not SATA) hard drive is a better choice than an SSD with an unsupported interface. Newer (technology) isn't always the better solution

Did a track day in one of those with Lambo of Dallas sponsoring the event at Cresson yrs ago. Very impressed. They shoot out of corners like a slingshot with the AWD... and the mechanical sounds of that V10 mill was over the top

I dunno, black, especially flat black isn't my thing. Black looks good on big boxy cars like old Cadillacs with lots chrome. I want a lighter color on a Lambo, shows off the lines. Black kind of hides the body lines

If it was possible, I would drive my car from the UK to get it fixed by the Wizard. UK mechanics are so hit and miss outside the dealership network here. Sounds the same in the US
I used to work in VW franchise in Liverpool, someone was trying to order a headlamp bulb for a VW ( I don’t remember what model) he was told it would be £80!, however we didn’t have one in stock so they tried the Audi franchise that they also owned and were quoted (for the same bulb) £200???
I have an 04 G and yes simple to work on with two large assumptions (1) you must have a lift, cant do it with floor jack not even an option (2) must have access to the software and know how to use for any updates or changes even changing the oil.
You should buy several of those tool carts in all of the available colors. So that way you can have a tool storage place for the specialty car brands. Orange for Lamborghini, red for Ferrari, green for McLaren, black for Rolls-Royce and so on. You will need the appropriate brand stickers for each category like the Lamborghini one. Nicely done. 👍👍
Good look at this nice Lamborghini. Not too many problems by the look of it but getting parts can be a bit of a challenge these days. That old windows laptop and the old school cable connectors is a piece of kit needing to be treasured. Impressed it is in such good shape and hope it has many more years of use.

Hi Wizard, thank for the great content. My understanding of the pronunciation of Gallardo is this: It is a Spanish word (a bull) and so the "ll" is pronounced like an English "y." You nailed it. However a double "l" in Italian would be pronounced a stressed and elongated English "l." Like Barilla pasta for example.
As someone who knows computer, it would be wise to use macrium reflect to make a backup of that Lambo laptops hard drive so if the hard drive dies, and that usually what goes first in old computers, you can get a PC shop to put a new one in and restore from your backup instead of having to buy another computer. Macrium reflect is free to download, just backup the C drive into an image file you put on a USB drive which you can safely store, I use it for all of my computers and my customers computers.
Wizard, you’re using moving blankets for shop spills? I used to work at a CAT dealer/shop and we used rolls of Pig Mat. It does cost a little bit but it will clean up messes you can’t believe.
Hey Wizard, you should make a full disk image backup of the drive on that laptop. It might save you a lot of hurt in the future. Old spinning hard drives have a finite lifespan and will work just fine until they don't.

Hi Wizard, Interesting that you mention the O2 sensor fault, someone I know has the same model car in Australia, check engine light was always on, he took it to a dealer and a Lambo "specialist" and neither could find the fault, the owner was so annoyed with the problem that he was going to sell the car till I suggested he take it to a friend who is an electronics engineer who specialises in cars, fault was intermittent but eventually he found a faulty O2 sensor, replaced the sensor and its all fixed and the owner is happy. Finding the right people to repair difficult to find faults is the never easy.
I bought an O2 sensor for a mk4 golf 1.6 16v, crossed to Lamborghini, I lold. Also, Saab 900 classic mounted the struts on the upper arm, clever system.

I bought an O2 sensor for a mk4 golf 1.6 16v, crossed to Lamborghini, I lold. Also, Saab 900 classic mounted the struts on the upper arm, clever system.

are you kidding? he's got a diablo, a countach, he's way ahead on this thing, like if he wants to get back into one, and actually have it look italian, he can buy that R8 from JR go for dimes on the dollar, and get it as a spider with an actual V8 too, as italians, well, they dont do V10's, as its like a solar powered rolex, if someone tells you that they do make one, their lying okay lol
they just dont, as italians dont count in 5's, they do 2's 4's and 6's and with good reason, have you ever heard an alfa V6? like why would you settle for an audi quattro motor when it can sound like that, or better yet two banks of it?!
His Gallardo was stunning, would take it over his Diablo or Countach any day of the week. Way better car too.

@@kavinskysmith4094 Fiat made the later coupe with a 5 cylinder 20V engine in non turbo and turbo, they also built a 2.4 5 cylinder Diesel engine which they put in the Marea and Alfa 156 & 159.

The fact that you and Hoovie went half on the computer for your shop says a lot about both of your loves for cars and how you deal with customers. That’s it’s not only about making money.
Since you got the cables an parts for the Lamborghini tuning set up. Could you have some computer company 3D print connections and build O.E.M cables from your template of cables. You could sell them to other shops for decent money.
