      Hi mate. All the tools are very straight forward and only basic tools are required. I do have a copy of what "tensions" to do the bolts at.
      A manual car is a lot easier.
      The video has assisted a lot of DIY owners to change their own clutches.

    Wow what a great video. I've been considering buying a Gallardo and have been doing as much research as possible, including the cost of a clutch change. It looks very straightforward, and the only challenging part is remembering which bolts went where! Although the car I'm considering is an e-gear which means it'll need the lambo computer system to reset it :(

      Hi mate, you need to either get a mobile "Euro" mechanic or take it to a shop who has the computer. It only takes a few minutes to do. You could also do a soft reset. You do that by turning your ignition to the on position, pulling in both paddles until your dash makes a sound. Then from there you can turn off the car and restart it and it will have adjusted. Google soft clutch reset gallardo.

      The computer is used for 2 main things.
      The more important is to flush the EGear fluid to bleed it. As you will not be able to do this without some sort of computer (Note, it does not have to be a lambo computer) as the one I used was not. This is done very quickly. Maybe 2 minutes and its done.
      The second thing is to reset the clutch values.
      This only takes a second to do on the computer.
      I have not been able to find a way around using the computer for flushing the egear yet.

    how do you know where to align the clutch with the flywheel? I noticed the "5" on the clutch didn't match the "5" on the flywheel. And what are the torque specs on tensioning the flywheel like you mentioned? I have to do this in a few weeks and want to make sure I've got all the info I need... Then... I've got one more question... Do those two green seal rings have the following part numbers: WHT002218 and N90111302? sorry if this is a hassle to answer

    • @supatony
      @supatony  4 роки тому

      When the clutch and flywheel arrive, they come with markings on them. Usually pen marks from where they were balanced at the factory. So you just need to align these when fitting. You will see i wrote on the bolts, that's the order that you tighten them.
      Torque to 70nm for the flywheel bolts.
      Let me go see what green seals you're talking about, and get back to you.
      If you have instagram, find me supa_tony and we can chat direct on there for more info.

    • @supatony
      @supatony  4 роки тому

      Not sure at this time on the seal part numbers. When ordering the clutch kit, these will come with it and they will be specific to your vehicle..A big tip, soak your exhaust bolrs with a lubricant like wd40 at least the day prior. Exhaust bolts are one of the biggest pains in doing this.

    • @supatony
      @supatony  4 роки тому

      I aligned it with a piece of plastic (similar to a dowel) Just made sure it fitted both snug.
      You align the clutch markings with the flywheel. As these are balanced. Depending on what clutch you buy, it will have markings in different places, But should be fairly easy to work out.
      Just get the flywheel bolts tensioned correctly.
      Oh, and another one you really need to focus on is the drive shaft bolts, make sure they are tensioned correctly too when putting it all back together.

      @@supatony it's an egear, i was quoted 6500 by audi by my house, I bought the clutch for 2k so if it takes me a weekend to finish than I am happy with that to save 4500

    have you thought about a kevlar clutch?

    • @supatony
      @supatony  11 місяців тому +1

      the added cost of the kevlar was just too high to be honest. I really weighed it up and went OEM. You would go kevlar if you never intended on selling your car.
