Miami Heat need to hold onto Herro. It's clear the rest of the NBA doesn't value him. So, why trade him when his value is low? Sounds like a waste to me after everything we've invested into him. I know this channel likes to depict Herro as unhappy with the Heat organization, but that's a unfair assumption in my opinion. Is he frustrated that his name is constantly in trade talks? Absolutely and I think any normal person would. Also, it likely stings hearing the fanbase clamor to trade him too. However, what we don't talk about enough is his upside as a young player. I think his injury's have set him back and he is still figuring out how to fit in on this team. He clearly struggles with wanting to be respected as a star player in this league and feels a larger offensive role on the team will facilitate this personal goal for him. I believe the Heat understand this and if he can stay healthy this upcoming season (along with the rest of the squad) I think it will do wonders for his situation on the roster. I think he's at his best as a 3 level scorer with the ball in his hands running pick and roll with Bam. Yes, he's a great 3 point shooter too. This is great for spacing the floor when he's on the court with Butler, but when Butler needs a breather we shouldn't hesitate to run our offense through him and Bam. The issue in the past has been that Bam can't play 48 minutes a night for an entire NBA season, but hopefully with the addition of Ware it will give Spo better flexibility with rotations now that Bam won't be the only rim protector on the team. In my opinion we need to give Tyler Herro the keys more often, not just off the bench to win a sixth man of the year title. The plan should be to keep Herro because trading him for nothing sounds ridiculous.
What exactly did we invest in Herro anyway? He was a draft steal.
But, I agree with your point, we shouldn't trade Herro just to trade him. I just wish he stayed healthy.
It's not even about improving the roster it's getting off mistakes they can't have Herro's contract killing this team for three more years

Don't get any stock tips from Caleb or his agent. He doesn't HAVE to listen to his agent, but use him/her as a guide. Caleb is fully capable of making his own decisions. He chose to listen to his agent. We all make bad decisions throughout our lives. You can't blame him, but it was clearly a poor decision (financially). I do think it'll be a wake up call for other players in his position (especially with the Heat) in terms of decision making and how to use their agents more skillfully. Having an agent doesn't detract your power to do as you please. Players have to be more invested and diligent in all the moving pieces around them and the options open to them.

We gotta run it back worse and then let jimmy walk or trade him, then hope Duncan opts out for a long term deal elsewhere. Keep developing jaime and jovic and hope that all the teams at the top of the conference will be hamstrung by all their recent improvements in a couple years. Next years draft and free agency are much better than this year and hopefully we have more wiggle room than most of the other teams bc we played it slow this year. I know Andy is smarter than 90% of the other front offices when it comes to the financials so trusting that there is a bigger picture
I think Andy can figure out different cap scenarios. The problem with the Heat is repeated high dollar investments in low to mid level players and they are paying the price for that.
