My copy arrived yesterday here in Melbourne, and I've played it eight times...LOUD. It's a masterpiece, and I never use that word lightly. Australian tour, soon please???
He starts strong, even confrontational. I think listeners get used to the innovation, and because a dramatic build up isn't there, it becomes like the wallpaper. Just my experience of it. I guess it's virtuosity without a lot of showmanship. I wonder what it would be like to see him perform it onstage.
I'm hooked. Bill Burr's podcast with Tal has introduced me to this awesome musical Talent. It's raw and very powerful. Definitely one of my top tracks of the year for 2019
Bought it and even though you can get alot for free.. everyone should buy this and support the Band.. one of the few albums this year where you can enjoy every song and not just a single mp3... Tal is a Few of Billions.. we are so lucky musically to have her with us
I bought it to support Tal et al, along with the Beanie too. I went for the signed version because if Tal is going to sign that many CDs I can at least contribute an additional $5 for her hand massage for recovery... ;).
The layers, the changes in tempo, the complexity…this song is so thick! Dark and ominous, it’s like your caught in a violent storm on the sea, being helplessly tossed about. It’s not a song for everyone because it’s operating in a whole different space. Bravo..vive la différence 🎸
Hey Tal I hope the album is doing well .. I just want to thank you again for reminding me of what I used to know . when I was doing art at school .. Being told that orange & green would clash I did a life sized portrait of a blue man emerging from a green sea under an orange sky .. & insisted that " it was my colouring in book & my crayons & I would make the grass purple & stray outside the lines if I wanted " .. Because of my injured spine .. ( no sympathy wanted we are not on X factor lol ) . But after a difficult few days I can only play withe bass across my chest & mostly from 7th to 21st fret .. But I am having such fun just loving the harmonics & I wear head phones so it's all just for me & as far as I am concerned it's all Jazz a different kind of blue & I am the only one who can hear the other parts I would play .. Norah jones has been a great inspiration too recently she is just sat at her Piano & her beautiful voice & effortless playing .. gets me thru the night & for light relief Joss Stone & The TTB Kofi Burbridge his tone on the flute .. wonderful band so sad he 's gone .. I can't promise to help you get rich & I am sure you do not need validation .. but I hope if you ever read this you know you are touching hearts & minds in a good way .. bye
Well this old Boomer has agreed with Gene Simmons about this modern age and what unhinged nano second technology has done to the music industry . However after hearing this stunning original & other works by Tal Wilkenfeld , it gives me hope that great , original music is still being created regardless of the circumstances and age we live in . I guess just because an eco system has been altered or even collapsed , it does not mean the entire world has been destroyed. Life still goes on and hope does spring eternal !
Really nice, Tal. It really feels like you're accurately tapping into the current public mood. It reminds me of another, older, set of artists from half a century ago that were able to express their feelings about the then current events.
My God this is good. And your "Killing Me" at Paste Studios is INSANE - I keep going back to it all the time. I've probably watched it 20 times. Really good. The production and sound mixing is incredible.
Same. I even live in Australia and I think the only time I saw her previous to watching a jeff beck concert yesterday was in a short clip in a davie504 video last year sometime
Great choice on drummers for this one Tal. I have been loving Mr. Stacey's work for a long time. Congrats on your songs. This has parts that remind me of a Jeff Buckley type moody feel and I am digging it. Unique vibe !
True say - he is perfect here. I love guys that don't use a snare, or use it "snaringly". She's put the right people on the right song. She's a great strummer too.
Its always great to get such massive sound that sometimes no bass is needed. Ominous content, yeah painting ourselves into a corner with an air raid siren would be real stupid. eek.
I used to see her with Jeff Beck and thought mm “she aight” and now this new stuff and those lyrics and im a new follower 😊.. very dimensional, Oz rock tones mixed up with some Heart and psychedelic rock, you feel all the influencers jazz in there somewhere, and when you listen again you find something new waiting there in the depths of Atlantis like a siren sitting on the waves ready to take your soul😊 very good. Inspiring.
My goodness - is there anything you’ll be doing that isn’t awesome, or that I won’t love? I’m more impressed with every new listen. Thanks for posting another gem.
Her writing, singing and choices of musicians evolves continuously and of course her playing of instruments is far beyond many far more famous players! Just saying!
Dear Tal, You’re a fantastic talent but you’re not doing yourself any favors by ignoring this site and your fans. You should learn from Scary Pockets with whom you recently played about a web presence. It’s like you’re avoiding your audience. Everything is super old here.
Last time I seen you...you were playing bass for Jeff Beck and I'm just absouluty floored @ the moment!!! Gettin your Alanaiss On!!!! Love it!!!! Rock On Tal!!!! Hugs from Canada!!! :))) Always a fan!!!
inspiring .. I gave up on the 5 string 'tho .. & swapped it for a plain Fender P .. Lost in music .. I found a slap back echo with a repeat sound & if I tap on the harmonics I almost sound as fast as you lol & I got an e- bow thing .. music is just a gift that never stops giving .. & it is inspiring to see you play with such a fresh approach
OK, so how does one Comment on the whole album? Second listening and I'm loving it. Best album since Band of Skulls 'Sweet Sour' and that was the best album for decades...
Wow, absolutely love the album Tal.....what an AWESOME sound and sensational skills!! Your song "Killing Me"......WOW, WOW!! Huge fan, just had to mention all the Awesomeness, can't wait to see what's next!
Hey all, we just wanted to let everyone know that Tal’s new album “Love Remains” is out now! You can hear @ TalWilkenfeld.lnk.to/LoveRemains - Team TW
Tal Wilkenfeld that’s Jeremy Stacey from King Crimson on drums, isn’t it?
The Chorus reminds me of Epitaph by King Crimson(and there's nothin' wrong with that:)...Continued success TW:)
is this in LA?
My copy arrived yesterday here in Melbourne, and I've played it eight times...LOUD. It's a masterpiece, and I never use that word lightly. Australian tour, soon please???
This 440hz?
Not sure why no one is talking about Blake Mills and his epic, unique guitar playing on this track... What an absolute beast of a musician.
nasty.
He starts strong, even confrontational. I think listeners get used to the innovation, and because a dramatic build up isn't there, it becomes like the wallpaper. Just my experience of it. #truth 🎸
@@squirlmy well worded. He doesnt do showy stuff. Hes so damn unique. I call him a guitar players guitar player
@@squirlmy - Anyone know what that guitar is?
Amazing! Now if only we could get radio stations to play this instead of the usual crap.
True that sounds like bjork
Beautiful and savage at the same time. I like it!
I'm hooked. Bill Burr's podcast with Tal has introduced me to this awesome musical Talent. It's raw and very powerful. Definitely one of my top tracks of the year for 2019
this song is a masterpiece , all part are excelent , the Tal's voice is darkissimo ,i like the chords and the ambiance of this song
insert * *she's not even playing the bass & this aint jazz/fusion - therefore it sucks* * comment
This is by far the funniest comment I've seen 😂
@@TalWilkenfeld 😂😂😂
By far my favorite song on the album. I love the vibe. Bluesy Folk Grunge. Gotta love it! Thanks Tal

This lady is brilliant. Just downloaded this album and am loving it. This keeps my faith that good music and talent is still going strong.
better purchase it, we need to support musicians like her.😊

You got that right Sarah , and now the blackbird is singing his morning song ! Tal is a true heart!

Such a good track. Been looking forward to this album for the looooongest time.
Don't disrespect Tal. She'll drop truth on you in a killer track.
Man, I LOVE this song.
I like this tune.
There are still some gems in this world to be found
Love it!! Great sounds, not over complicated THIS IS ROCK N ROLL!!!
Jeremy Stacey's playing on this is fantastic. Take note of how quiet he is playing and how huge the drums sound!
Jeffrey Anthony this
Yes. Playing softer enables the drums to breathe. Bashing chokes the kit and ruins tone.
great tune Tal... blake mills has a monster sound...
Really nice, Tal. It really feels like you're accurately tapping into the current public mood. It reminds me of another, older, set of artists from half a century ago that were able to express their feelings about the then current events.
That guitar sounds like Godzilla crushing ships
like a grunge harmony
Great song ! And Blake Mills was the best choice ;)
i am an old schooler. beck/beatles/floyd is my usual cup of tea. till i heard Tal! simply blown away. so powerful!
thank u Tal, very nice, speaks volumes to these days, we are living in
wow and the struggle of the inner planetary war amen
My God this is good.
And your "Killing Me" at Paste Studios is INSANE - I keep going back to it all the time.
I've probably watched it 20 times. Really good. The production and sound mixing is incredible.
As a bassist vocalist myself. I am ashamed to say i have only just discovered this incredible talent. Shame on me!
Same. I even live in Australia and I think the only time I saw her previous to watching a jeff beck concert yesterday was in a short clip in a davie504 video last year sometime
I hear some Elbow in the arrangements and melodic choices. That's a good thing. Love this!
Awesome!! Can't wait to listen the whole album :)
That was fantastic, love that song and her voice, Blake Mills is awesome also.

What kind of a guitar is that, looks a bit like a Fender Jaguar.. but different picups. And oh the sound he coaxes out of that thing.... goosebumps.
I think his top string is a bass string?
@@ZachVan now that you mention it, yes i agree.
Looks almost like a bass-VI, (but not Fender of course)
she and her band are A mixture between The Who, Zeppelin and Ca$h. amazing ! totally unique all at the same time !
There's some Sabbath and Soundgarden in there too.
Blake Mills is one of the Greatest on guitar.
Fabulous and Fantastic MUSIC and VIDEO, Thx.u, Good Time for you, masterpiece, Thx.u
Excited about the upcoming release.
Love that Goya guitar, there! Lovely composition, Tal!

Psychedelic
Damn never heard Tal Sing! NICE
This song's got a certain grunge vibe to it here and there.
The Goya guitar reminds me of a Fender Mustang.
That guitar tone is monster…. Anybody know what his recipe is?
simple amazing
great
Great.
I dont see a bass player, are they playing to Tal's bass tracked earlier?
Insanely good!
La vi tocando bajo eléctrico con el maestro Jef Beck y escucharla cantar, es muy buena.
Really dig the album, Tal. What drop tuning was used on the guitar, please?
Shweet Jesus :)
A-HA or Amy Winehouse? she's a song writer, too good to be singing
Can’t wait for tomorrow.
