    In my personal opinion on the Jurassic Park Telltale Game, it's a pretty decent game. The positives: I love the suspense and dino action, there's character development, and the themes of a man playing God did hold up well, unlike JP3. The negatives: there are continuity issues even before Jurassic World, such as Gerry looking younger without a mustache than the movie version, and the Herrasaurus somehow appeared despite being incomplete on InGen's List and even the Pteranodons were now on Nublar, unless if they migrated from Isla Sorna, just like the Compys, which is why Colin Trevorrow regarded it as 'soft-canon', the dinosaurs were cool but their behavior is unrealistic sometimes, like how Rexy chased down Billy while leaving her food behind for no reason the same way the JP3 T-Rex did, the dialogue choices are very poor as we didn't get character motivations, and there are some plot elements that goes nowhere, like Nima's backstory. It's not as weak as Jurassic Park 3, and it's not my favorite Jurassic game, but it's pretty enjoyable.

    It's a shame cause this game somehow managed to actually have a better narrative than both Fallen Kingdom & Dominion.

    14:50 I laughed way too hard at that. But honestly this game was just ok. Tell takes walking dead was the first of their games for me as well. I considered this game as soft Canon to the series since there were moments that didn't make sense like the pteranodons being in the game and their being velociraptors after rexy killed the last velociraptors. But still having elements that could be considered an actual event because we never got confirmation of Gerry leaving the island. Still though the last sequence on the docks with rexy was the absolute highlight for me. The action and pacing was really good. Also yeah F Jess!

      This is late but whatever
      The raptors seen in this game are a new batch from Sorna that were kept in the quarintine pens and were meant to replace the five raptors that The Big One killed prior to the first film
      Nedry took out power from the park including both quarintine pens (probably he didnt knew there were creatures there or maybe they were far away enough that he didnt care they were left unchecked) and thus the new raptor batch and the troodon were able to escape

      @@SuperKingGhidorah During the game at the end of episode 2 Gerry asks were the raptors came from and Laura mentions the quarintine pens
      Then in the unlockable journal theres a section on said quarintine pens and she explains how Hammond ordered this new batch of 5 raptors after the incident with the big one, she also explains how they are in a set of quarintine pens that are away from her secret batch of Troodons. As it turns out the Troodons were supposed to be euthanized since their danger factor and nocturnal behaviour didnt make them profitable but Sorkin kept them alive, shes the responsible for the deaths of her assistan David, Bravo Team and D Caf

    Has anyone tried datamining this game? It's a shame that so much is known about the "what ifs" of Telltale's Walking Dead games yet so little is known about this one as well as its behind-the-scenes information, even after it was made possible to play earlier builds of games via Steam. Not to mention there's the question of what Telltale's plans for Season 2 were.

    The game is a great cinematic experience, sure it’s not that great gameplay-wise, but let’s be real here nobody plays Telltale games for the gameplay, that’s not the main selling point but the story is. And I was very much pleased with the story, to this day I think it stands shoulder to shoulder with the movies themselves that’s how much I loved it.
    And as a long time fan of the first Jurassic Park movie, I was super impressed with the idea of this game, it was as if I was watching the first movie again just from a different fresh perspective! It renewed my love for the franchise before Jurassic World did.

    Now I know alot of people don't care for the game, and I think that's mainly do of it being a Telltale game. Don't get me wrong I love Telltale games, but this compared to the others from the company? Aside from the last 5 mins of the game, there are literally no choices that can be made in this game. Unlike say The Walking Dead games or The Wolf Among Us that Telltale made, there where no choices that could change anything about the game, weather it be between characters or events that happen within the story. And that goes against everything that Telltale stood for. Other than that though, I actually like the idea of the story, as well as some of the characters being pretty interesting particularly Billy. In my opinion, I do think this game could've been great if it was a different style and not by Telltale.

    Man I do not like the cartoony stylized aesthetics of this game at all, the aesthetics alone automatically weaken the impact of any dinosaurs and the thriller aspect of the game. While incomplete and riddled with horrible glitches and poor graphics, Trespasser was by far the best game concept they came up with, much more mature and felt more interwoven with the real story. Every Jurassic Park game made since has only been PG rated kids games, we need darker Jurassic Park games which mimic the tension and suspense of the first two films.

    • @Spinosaurus44
      @Spinosaurus44 3 місяці тому

      If you think that’s the case then you haven’t been paying attention to the story my friend. The point was that human greed can get in the way of humanity sometimes, but not always. The game gave us two examples of this one in Billy Yoder who was the greedy guy willing to sacrifice his mission and the people he was supposed to rescue in order to get rich, the other was Oscar, who even though didn’t know the people he was rescuing and even though we know he was supposedly a cold-hearted killer by his tattoos, still priorized the mission and the safety of the people he was there to rescue rather than his own wealth and well-being. In the end Nima, the main deciding factor in the game, gets to choose whether to follow the path of Yoder or Oscar.
